"ah I see the good mood was temporary." Theresa sucked on her teeth as captain buzzkill decided to rain on the inferno. "The answer to those questions is of course not I'm a village maiden who's not been educated in the ways of the sea, if it wasn't abundantly clear from the decorate warnings throughout the village this is the most consecutive minutes I've ever spent in the village which reminds me... Captain dead man did he have a bounty?"

Charles blinked, before realizing that this girl had a point. "Wait, you're right... Captain Blondie did have a bounty. 80k berri bounty. But usually you have to.....". Suddenly he picked up on what she was implying. "No...no, no, no! You can't be serious... Unless... You are?" He asked, instead of saying outright no, he guessed what she was planning. Was she planning to use the fire as not only a means to attract the Marines, but to also collect a bounty? "Even if we did wait on the marines and turned in his body, what about the rest of the crew? There's more than 28 of them out there!"
Charles couldn't believe what he was even considering. Surely she was........ No... For some reason he knew she wasn't joking.....
"So how are we gonna do this?" He asked, deciding that if this was gonna be his end, he'd rather have fun than be terrified. "Blondie was worth 80 thousand berri, but his death is going to drop it down to 75k berri. What's more, without something to prove it's him, we can't guarantee it's him.... Unless we keep the ship and turn it in as well. The rest of the crew varied from 10k to 35k. If we can catch them all, then we're good. We just jave to make sure they don't escape using the ship." . Charles was quick to get things rolling as he calculated how much they would get.
"We'd have enough to get a fare to a local dock yard, and if we also let them reclaim the ship, we can pretty much get whatever boat we need for a small crew. We can then hire a navigator and head out to sea.". He stated, already having the finances figured out.

"That's all, piece of cake, you see, dead men can't run away." Theresa smiled as she raised her finger. "So here's the plan, we're going to lure all the pirates into the Helsin estate with the allure of chests of gold and treasure, there you'll confront the entirety of your crew and tell them that you slayed Captain Blondie, this will obviously make them all burst into laughter at the absurdity of the claim where I'll be watching from the balcony, then you go set a little fire in the study and bing bang boom twenty eight pirates dying from smoke inhalation perfectly preserved for bounty presentation." Theresa explained her plan with flourishes of her hands at specific points. "Now the important part, credit has to go to Thomas Helsin who employs you as a manservant of the estate, and as his manservant you have power of attorney, which will enable you to collect the bounty on his behalf which when he is found dead will transfer to his last living heir, Me."

Charles took a moment and was about to protest when he actually stopped with his mouth open and actually pondered. Yes, something like that could work. There would need to be a bit of improvisation, and perhaps a bit of luck; but it was doable. Especially if they actually had the time to do so, and she caught all of them laughing. Everyone considered him a joke, so something as stupid sounding as him killing the captain... that was laughable. There was only one main problem. "I-I, I can't do it....." Charles said, as he looked a bit frightened. "There's so much that can go wrong, and sure I can say there's lots of money in that estate, but it's not likely people will listen to me. If anything.... you seem like the kind of person that can annoy them and get them running after you. If you can lead them to the estate, I can go ahead and prepare the trap..... Oh... where is this estate by the way?"
Wherever his courage, insanity, or mania from before had gone, it clearly wasn't here now. Still, the fact that Charles was willing to patch up the plan to ensure it went down successfully was proof that he was willing to go through. You don't casually plan to murder people after all, even if they are a bunch of cutthroats.

Theresa listened to the objections and cracked a smile cackling softly to herself. "More clever than you are brave I respect that, fodder follows orders into a death trap regardless of the danger it takes a true genius to think about all the wonderful ways you can get your punchline told to you, fair enough this frail and easily overpowered maiden will be the bait if talking to you is any indication you are probably the smartest of this bunch Blondie included after all.. you tried to listen." Theresa flashes an insanely dangerous smile as if they could easily have been hunting her head if she hadn't gotten Blondies first...
"Up the hill the audience hall should be sufficient I'll take the vantage point from the garden terrace to the balcony you start fires from the north and south exits leave them nothing but a window to escape from then make another fire outside the window hehehehe." Theresa giggled thinking about the pirates who'd try to escape only to fall into a bonfire.
"Any other issues Chucky?" She seemed to be growing bored but soon she'd have a big audience to play for.

Charles shook his head, "Up the hill, prep to light the fires while you lure them. Got it... Oh, by the way, definitely show off the hat. They'll know 0right away who it belongs to." Charles stated as he summarized her reformed choices to their plan.... Her Plan. This was her plan to burn them. Poetic justice considering fire was their preferred way to terrify people. Charles smirked, before running off as the fires roared through the town.
Now all that there was left was to lure the unsuspecting fodder to their ironic grave. Heading into town, Theresa would find her first two targets. The first was a burly man with horizontal stripes on his shirt, ironically fat and bald compared to his thin stick like friend beside him with long dreads. Strangely enough, the pair were cornering a woman who was one of the barmaids of the town. It was obvious that she was crying in fear and terror, shaking as the thin lanky man held her at sword point, "Well well well, what a pretty barmaid we got here hey Grub?"
"Sure thing Plank, I think it's a bit too pretty. Maybe she's got some things she's willing to give us. You know, to make her less pretty. Like gold or jewelry. Well, got anything?", the fat man taunted, a large wooden club resting in one of his hands, bouncing slightly to indicate that it was a subtle threat of bludgeoning. The Woman quickly offered anything and everything she had, which was at most a few berries, a locket, and her wedding ring. The men were smiling, as Plank snatched the items, before looking at it. "I don't know, maybe she's still too pretty?" He said, drawing the blade even closer to the villager's face.
Theresa had the perfect opportunity for a few jokes to catch the pair off guard... or.... she could simply let things happen. If there were survivors of the village when the marines arrived, it might be risky, but it could also further prove she was the one who dragged the pirates away and saved the day. How Theresa would think, only she knew.
