The world is our Oyster (Koito)

Koito walked with a bit more pep in his step. Detention had a lot to learn, but Nocturne was a drag to be around. Yeah he was supposed to learn from his peers, but it was only the first few days of school. He kicked a rock as he internalized everyone's words. It wouldn't get him down, but it would get him thinking. He typically wasn't one to mull things over too much, but if it were really going to benefit him THAT much, then it was worth letting sink in a bit. He'd run his hand through his hair, and flick out to maintain a proper spike-age. 


"Man is it good to be free! Finally free!"

His eye bounced to her. He'd smile back. He actually realized he didn't know her from a can of paint, despite fighting alongside her in the mall incident. Was that a factor of being a hero... -making friends from rescue efforts? It was head scratching question that he'd skip asking out loud. Instead, he'd snatch her arm, and yeet the two sky bound at a breakneck velocity. Koito would killed the speed and land the two on a rooftop. From here, the view was amazing. The sunset would glare on his smile, his teeth a bit pearlier than usual. With a gaze into her's he-

"I'll just list things, and you tell me what you wanna do." with a smirk. Pointing to each location, he begin listing a few. North,"Food" Toward the bay, "The aquarium" Toward downtown, "Museum" West toward the woods "Dirt biking or rock climbing" He fizzled forgetting a few. This was unnaturally romantic, and Koito wouldn't realize it. In fact, this was extremely casual from his point of view. On off days from school, he'd just pick a direction and yeet himself into an activity. 

With a casual and not-so-concerned stare in response to to Zenjia's warning, the boy would chuckle and just nod. If she wanted to be his friend she'd have to accept his quirky behavior. PLUS, they'd have to be quick... as using one quirk in public without a license was taboo. They'd already experienced day one of detention... There still was the rest of the week. Adding on any more time would be like jail. The thought stuck into his head like a seed, watered by Nocturne's stern face and Gigabites long winded speeches. Boring! Koito's ears perked up when Zenjia made the most adventurous choice. WEST! 

"Nice choice. You... ugh... Do you need equipment?" He hadn't contemplated that. Koito technically could break his own falls by floating about in limbo. "It's a real mountain. The view of the city is sick! Especially if we can catch the sunset. " It was plain to see, he was adventurous by nature. He contemplated another spontaneous yeet, but out of respect, he- "Here! Let's go." He'd get in front of her and squat slightly so she could just hop on and have a much safer trip via piggyback. 

Koito twitched. Trust fall? Did this girl have a death wish? Why was she so hard core? The fight against the villain was still fresh on his memory, and so was detention. He realized he didn't really know anyone too well from school. He was glad he could make a friend. To be honest, he was getting a bit worried that he'd be a loner for another school year. People from middle school only liked him because he was random, and far more people were laughing at him rather than with him. 1a was... well. They were reaaaaaally different than him, a lot of moody types, and emotional wrecks. He couldn't really find his footing with them. He could count his UA friends on one hand. Zenjia his newest friends, Rey a really nice upper classman, aaaaand... could he count Yoichi. All they did was argue.  

His mind spun as he forgot to even answer Zenjia. As they arrived at the foot of the steep cliffs, Koito eyed Zenjia. "Okie dokie. We find a route of rocks to follow and make our way up!" He pointed to the top with a grin. He'd walk up to the biggest boulder and hike himself atop it. From here, he narrowed his eyes to search for a place to put his lead foot. He'd lead against the rockface, tongue out in concentration, and reach up and out. He'd hook one hand in a crack, and pull himself to the nearest foothold. Floating up would be WAY easier, but it would kill the challenge. "Don't be shy. Start climbin!"

Koito's pace was abnormally fast, but it made sense. He was a kid who never had to fear falling or slipping. Any incorrect movements would just result in him floating down and landing on his feet with a chuckle. Seemingly this was his element, and probably why he was too agile in the first place. The spiky-haired teen paused where he was to look down. Ah, she was doing pretty well! He was roughly five meters ahead. Rushing up the mountain was one thing, but taking one's time really challenged picking the right footholds to choose as well, giving the body a proper workout. He loved climbing just as much as bmx biking or snowboarding. "I'm doing okay. I usually start from that far end with the smoother rocks for a challenge. This way is rigged and some of the rocks are so stable. Still fun!"

"Woooo. Not too shabby. If you feel yourself slipping just scream for you life, the ambulance will hear you loud and clear!" He joked. Realistically, he'd probably form an arrow to just catapult her to the peak and land safely on her tooshie. 

Koito oogled  at the blood. Her quirk, it seemed much more savage outside of combat. She seemed to be having fun, and that was more than enough.  He made short work of the rest, practically galloping up on all fours as they'd already gone over the hard part. The rest of the slope was pretty mellow. He huffed and wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead before taking in the view. It was nice to get out school honestly, especially after having to face Nocturne's big ugly mug. He was smart, but some of the things he said flew over Koito's head. He hoped and prayed when he got older that the teacher didn't become his teacher. Speaking of classes, Zenjia was in 1b. 

"Say... what's your class like?" He asked, before actually giving some insight on his own class.  "Mine's is pretty intense. Lots of try hard, but I guess that's how they got to 1a." He was saying this as if he weren't a try-hard himself. He didn't mean it for activities but for a social setting. He reminisced on Gigabite's class. "The mellow ones don't talk much, and the rest of us just bump heads. I'm hoping Gigabite doesn't force a group activity on us." He chuckled, lending a hand out to help her up if she needed it. 

He nodded as she spoke. It was a nice spot! The perfect place to clear his head or train his body. Koito cocked his head thinking of his own class. She mentioned goofballs... Goofballs sounded fun... but he got into class A for a reason. He shrugged, only addressing what she said about not counting them out. "If you want me to take them seriously, they're gonna have to climb up into class A for me to even acknowledge them." He chuckled to her. Of course, this was his stance. For a boy who glorified heroes, the covetted number 1 especially, he held a tight grip on rankings and what they met. For Koito being in an A class was equivalent to being in the top percentile of heroes. Well... for their age group anyway.  "Don't forget, you are talking to the student who will surpass everyone in the whole freshman class. The closest person to becoming the number 1 hero of our generation has to be the number 1 student. That's going to be me!" This was self-proclaimed of course, but this wasn't just someone shooting their mouth off. He truly believed it. 

It was easy to take all of the things around Koito into consideration and not take him seriously, but his unbridled confidence was reminiscent of Strive, and those who came before him. For Koito, power came from belief in oneself first, and secondly, the power to attract strong allies. "And I'm going to become stronger too." He grinned big, holding his hand out to the setting sun. He clutched hard as if the sun were in his hand. Coming back to reality, he smiled to Zenjia. "You better get stronger too, or else we can't hang out." He laughed sticking his tongue out at her. After all, she was his ally in the mall incident.

Koito shrugged his shoulders, "The only way to prove that is by beating us. Sport Festival's coming up..." He said. It was as simple as that. Koito wasn't going to waver on this. If they really thought they were better, they'd have to show so in the school sports festival or if the teachers held any other class vs class events. He was pretty invested in performing well. In fact, it was all he could think about. Sure, he was supposed to be doing well in class but, it was really hit or miss. For written exams, he typically scored either average or below average. When it came to practical and physical class activities, he soared with flying colors. 

"Being somebody's friend has nothing to do with how good or bad they did on a entry exam... or being a hero for that matter. It's just a matter of if they're good people or not. " He said staring at the sunset.
