Appearance
Physical Appearance
Shinju is a young lady with a relatively average height of 5'4'' and pale skin. While she is wearing covering clothes she comes off as a slim build, but below the layers she is actually quite well-muscled for a fifteen year old girl, having trained in Judo for many years. Contrasting greatly with her older sister's gangly appearance, Shinju's body takes after her mother with fair curves and a solid bust. Her straight black hair flows down the sides of her head well past her shoulders, and she has accentuated it with pink highlights. Her bangs hang just high enough to not get in her lovely pink eyes, which constantly bear a subtle sense of studious curiosity.
Civilian Clothes
Shinju idolizes and wants to be just like her sister, which ironically means she is rather self-conscious about her own much more feminine figure. As a result she usually wears really concealing clothing— things like turtle-neck sweaters, jackets, and long pants. Of course while attending school she wears the school uniform, which she finds awkward predominantly because she dislikes wearing skirts. She almost always wears sports bras even in her day to day life since they make her bust look smaller.
However while she tries to conceal her figure, she expresses her femininity in other more subtle ways— Predominantly through makeup and jewelry. Because she and Saionji grew up poor, she didn't really have access to cosmetics until recent times, so she is taking advantage of them now that she is finally able to.
Vigilante Outfit
While joining her sister on jobs, Shinju wears a breezy, light outfit that is streamlined and good for moving around in. Shinju's vigilante outfit has a bit of a story behind it: Once her sister allowed Shinju to join on missions, they went shopping to get her a special outfit for when she's on the job. Shinju was expecting Saionji to get her a suit as well, but then Saionji posited the pictured outfit. It was purely meant to be a suggestion and was by no means Saionji commanding her to use that one specifically, but Shinju always listens to her sister and opted to go with it. Deep down she dislikes the outfit a lot due to how revealing it is, but her sister knows best, right?
Personality
Bad Habits
Shinju's biggest and most problematic bad habit is her absolute obedience and idolization of her sister. In her mind her sister is the utmost authority and she listens to almost everything Saionji says. She also tries to model herself after her sister in a lot of respects, which leads to greatly reduced self confidence since her sister is so far ahead of her in experience. She wants to look like her sister too, which is why she is so uncomfortable with how feminine her body is and tries to conceal it beneath clothing.
Another prominent bad habit she has is her tendency to both overestimate others and underestimate her own capabilities. It is to the extent that she can be intimidated by people she could easily beat in a fight.
She is also starting to inherit some of her sister's bad habits, namely a growing lack of a filter in what she says. She is often blunt and brutally honest with people, and can occasionally have a bit of a stubborn streak, especially when she is upset.
Goal
Shinju ultimately wants to be a hero and help people. However she believes that if she went to hero school and became an officially recognized one, she would be obligated to fight her vigilante sister. As a result she instead does her 'hero' work as a vigilante alongside Saionji, even though it isn't truly what she wants.
General Personality
Shinju is a relatively soft-spoken person who is more keen to keep to her own business rather than get involved with others. That's not to say she doesn't like making friends, but she has loner tendencies. People who know her however will note that one of her most defining traits is her studiousness and awareness. She is great at learning, and will thoroughly listen to what a person has to say before responding. She does extremely well in school as a result, and the few friends she does have value her opinions highly. However one of her weaknesses is a lack of passion in what she does, even for things she loves like helping people. She almost never gets genuinely excited about things, and she is more often a pessimist than an optimist. A lot of this is due to her initially abusive and poor upbringing. Shinju also has a lot of self confidence issues and struggles with her identity as a person since she is split between wanting to be her own individual and wanting to be exactly like her sister which she idolizes greatly.
Personal Life
Mother
Terauchi Sachiko (Alive; Civilian)
(Quirk — Emitter — "Play-doh" — If Terauchi has her hands on something, it becomes as malleable as molding clay. This only works on inorganic materials, and only when she is touching them.)
Father
Seo Sachiko (Alive; Villain)
(Quirk — Mutant — "Snake Fangs" — Seo has fangs, hidden under special organs underneath his upper lips. The fangs can protrude and retract as needed and within the Organ sack, venom is produced. He is able to mix this venom to spit it at targets or to just simply coat the Fangs and inject the venom in that manner.)
Siblings
(Quirk — Emitter — "Bubblegum" — Saionji's Saliva possess a special enzyme that breaks down the molecules in anything that it touches in a way that makes it able to be chewed. The more saliva applied, the more chewable the item and, it also serves as an activator to any chemical reaction the item may potentially have.)
Extended family
(Quirk — Emitter — "Slippery Slopes" — User has the ability to make surfaces as slick as ice, and manipulate the incline of the ground before them.)
History
Ichika Sachiko was born into poverty, and moreover her family lived in the rough side of town. Her father was not present during her birth, and the little girl would soon come to learn that her father was not a kind man. Seo ruled the household with an iron fist whenever he was around, and spent more time out of the house than at home, leaving the rest of the family to care for the young girl. Her mother did what she could, but very quickly it would be her sister Kazetani that would spend the most time taking care of her. Kazetani would steal food, clothes, and toys for Ichika, doing her best to keep the little girl as happy as she possibly could. However, she couldn't hide Ichika from everything, and things would become particularly difficult when Ichika was well into five years of age, and her quirk hadn't manifested yet. Her father was very disappointed, and started forcing Ichika to do physical and psychological 'tests' to try and coax her quirk out the hard way, which put a lot of stress on the little girl. All of the time Seo would spend arguing with Ichika's mother or sister started turning its attention to her. It might've caused more damage were it not for Kazetani.
Kazetani had been formulating a plan that the five year old wasn't aware of— a plan to run away from home with one of Kazetani's friends, Kyoya Mayfuko. Ichika didn't understand why they needed to run away, but she was far more attached to her dear sister than to her parents, so she listened and followed Kazetani. As they ran away, they all decided to change their names to cover their tracks. She would become Shinju Chiyaki; her older sister would become Saionji Chiyaki; and Kyoya would become an honorary older sister under the name Ueki Chiyaki. They found an apartment to collectively live in, where her two big sisters would help take care of the little Shinju. Shinju found it hard to go by a new name at first, but over time she became comfortable and even happy with it.
Her childhood was still hard, struggling to get by on food and lacking luxuries. However Saionji helped alleviate that a bit by getting to know some of the neighbors, specifically ones with kids around Shinju's age. She didn't want the young Shinju to go outside unsupervised, but she organized playdates with some trusted kids. This helped get Shinju some social connections which she had been sorely lacking in their previous household. Shinju was a reserved child, but she ended up becoming friends with a few of them. Things would go by without incident for around a year, until a day came that would play a big part in shaping Shinju into the woman she is today...
Saionji was walking Shinju across town in the early evening, picking her up from a play date. However, while they were going through an alley two older gentlemen approached them with wicked grins. Shinju didn't understand why the men were being so scary looking, but Saionji could tell quite plainly they were looking to rob the seemingly defenseless girls. What they couldn't have planned for however was Saionji being a very experienced brawler. She took the two of them on, and subsequently wiped the floor with them. Seeing her sister do something so cool amazed the young Shinju, so much so that Shinju asked Saionji if she could learn to fight too. Saionji was heistant to expose her sister to something like that, but in the end Saionji did start teaching Shinju some basic self defense. Shinju was a hard-working girl and would practice the techniques religiously, sometimes even pretending she was taking multiple people on like her big sis did that day.
A couple years after that, shortly after Shinju turned eight, tragedy would strike. Her two sisters had taken on a big bad guy, and it had turned out extremely poorly. Saionji was gravely sick and in the hospital, and Ueki... Was dead. Shinju didn't properly internalize it when she was told by Saionji whilst standing at her bedside. To some extent she never did fully internalize the loss even to this day. Saionji called in favors to ensure Shinju had plenty of food and amenities in spite of the fact that she was alone at home for multiple weeks while her sister recovered. This period of time was extremely hard for Shinju, but also forced her to learn self reliance. The eight year old taught herself to cook basic meals; started walking to see friends on her own; learned how to wash her clothes; began taking responsibility for messes and cleaning up the apartment; and she even was introduced to a martial arts school by one of her friends' parents who was kind enough to pay for her classes in the interim. By the time Saionji returned home, she would find a clean apartment and a much more self-sufficient younger sister who was apparently a practicing Judo apprentice now.
The following few years would see life improve for the two sisters. With Shinju more self reliant, Saionji could focus more on her work, which in turn earned her more recognition and thus a more prestigious position. With said position came increased pay, meaning she and Shinju could move out of their crappy apartment and into a better one. Moreover for the first time they could actually afford luxuries, and Shinju was eventually enrolled in grade school for the first time. Shinju's incredible work ethic would also see her improve a lot in her Judo skills, and she'd rise the belt ranks faster than the average person. Pairing that with Saionji's training, the now eleven-year-old Shinju was becoming quite capable. It would be on her twelveth birthday that Shinju would ask Saionji if she could go on missions with her and work as a vigilante too. Saionji wasn't convinced Shinju was ready, but agreed that she could once she was strong enough to handle it. Subsequently, she started dedicating more time teaching Shinju to fight in preparation.
Two more years of hard work would go by. Shinju would maintain great grades, keep up in her Judo progression, and spend a lot of time training with Saionji. She got better and better every day, and she eventually reached the point where she and Saionji started properly sparring. As she approached fourteen Shinju started insisting that she was ready, but Saionji wasn't convinced, she wanted to be absolutely sure Shinju wouldn't get hurt. As a result, Shinju started really putting her all into their spars until, for the first and to date only time, she managed to beat Saionji. Saionji misstepped and got too close for a brief moment, which allowed Shinju to close the gap and get Saionji into a powerful judo throw. After getting Saionji to the floor, Shinju's skillset put her at a massive advantage that resulted in a pin, forcing Saionji to tap out. Finally Saionji acknowledged that Shinju was ready.
The next day they went shopping to get Shinju a special outfit for her work, though they didn't have to search long since Shinju settled for basically the first thing Saionji suggested. They also came to the decision for Shinju's cover name to be Gemini.
Finally, on a friday afternoon just after Shinju clocked out of school, Saionji told her to get dressed for her first mission. Candy Ma'am and Gemini got a scoop that a local apartment was a hub for drug smugglers, and it was their job to get in, beat the crap out of them, burn the drugs, and then get out. Pretty simple, perfect for Shinju's first taste of the vigilante life. After getting suited up, the sisters would find their way to the apartment just at dusk. Shinju was terrified, but followed her sister's lead. Saionji, not being the most subtle of people, simply walked up to the front doors and headed inside. Not the entire apartment complex was compromised, they did have a room number, but Shinju was still under the impression there'd be people fighting them right off the bat. She hesitantly followed until they reached the right apartment. Saionji ever so gently busted the door down and rushed inside. Evidently there was a drug deal in progress, because half a dozen dudes were inside. Saionji didn't ask questions, immediately leaping into action beating up the nearest guy. Shinju followed in after her but hesitated to join, even as the men gathered themselves and started getting in on the action. Saionji held her own pretty well, to the extent Shinju suspected her sister might not have needed help... But then one of the dudes turned and took a swing at Shinju. Finally instinct kicked in and Shinju deftly avoided the punch, transitioning that into a stance and a judo throw that made the man land harshly on his back, knocking the air out of him. Shinju would narrowly avoid the swing of a second guy and— after hardening her glove with her quirk— she'd deliver a haymaker that instantly knocked the man out. By the time she turned and kicked the grounded guy unconscious, Saionji had already dealt with the other four. They'd grab the drugs, and leave the room. Nobody else bothered the two girls even with everyone plainly knowing they broke into someone's room, which Shinju realized was probably because people recognized her sister. Stepping out of the apartment, they'd take a lighter to the drugs and make sure they were sufficiently destroyed, before calling the mission a success and heading home. Saionji was quite proud of Shinju for taking out two dudes in quick succession like that, but Shinju was still shaken by the ordeal. She would help Saionji with more missions after the fact, but even now her nerves still often get the better of her in fights... But she always comes through when it counts.
Shortly after her fifteenth birthday a momentous occasion would come— Finally receiving her first degree black belt in Judo. She was the youngest student in that school's history to receive a black belt, but her performance on the tests and in spars spoke for themselves; she had earned it. Not too long after that, she would also become enrolled in highschool. Life is looking up for Shinju, and she is quickly blossoming into a highly capable young lady. Yet her journey has still only just begun...

Power
Shinju can drastically increase the physical hardness and resilience of a nonliving* object she is touching. No matter how soft the object normally is, when the quirk is in effect the object is equally as hard and tough as steel. This effect on average lasts three posts and persists even if she lets go of the object. If she applies the effect slowly and more meticulously, the duration can last as long as five posts. The effect's duration CAN be extended if she uses her quirk on an object that hasn't fully worn off yet, meaning she can persistently keep an object she is holding hardened until she lets it go. (However it puts a continuous drain on her energy to do so)
(*In this case 'nonliving' does include biological PLANT-BASED materials that are dead like wood. So for example she could apply the effect to cotton clothing but not wool clothing.)
Supermoves
I'm Always Armed — Shinju can turn basically any object— even something like a rolled up newspaper or a pillow— into a viable bludgeoning weapon by making them hard as steel. As a result, she can use just about anything to fight an opponent. She often uses her fingerless gloves that are a part of her vigilante outfit for this purpose, making her punches hit especially hard.
Drawbacks
Objects hardened by her quirk also become completely rigid, preventing them from moving and flexing like they normally would. This prevents her from, say, hardening her clothes to thwart attacks, since her clothes would become stuck in place and inhibit her movement greatly. The biggest reason why this is a downside is because this quirk's effects also cannot be manually canceled— Once she applies its effect to an object, she is stuck with it until the duration runs out. Currently she is incapable of moderating the power of her quirk, meaning she will always harden an object to the durability of steel even when it would be overkill. Naturally it is more strenuous the harder she makes an object, so she is often wasting a lot of her energy.
Fighting Style
Shinju is rather deceptive in appearance. Many people see a small school girl, but what most people don't know is Shinju just recently received her first degree black belt in Judo, and she has also received personal training from her sister whom is an experienced fighter. Moreover, she is quite strong physically as well, to the extent she can pin a grown man in a grapple. As a result, Shinju can quite easily take on untrained goons and street thugs, especially if they underestimate her. Her fighting style is similar to her brawler sister's in some respects, but she mixes in classic judo takedowns with her good old fashioned fisticuffs. She is light on her feet, and tends to fight more defensively until her opponent presents an opening for her. Quite often she uses Gobstopper on her gloves to give her figurative fists of steel, which make her punches hurt. She also practices using unconventional improvised weapons courtesy of her quirk, allowing her to take advantage of her environment in ways normal people can't.
