Deepdive Lagoon was an island that was "owned" by the Coleson Brother Pirates. Over the last few years, the Coleson Brothers had been building a ship. Specifically a dreadnaught class ship, and as a result the island had become a small home base, where the various fleets of the brothers would arrive and contribute their cargo to the construction of the group's power. Over time, they had successfully built it, but they had also made enemies. one of which had heard about the Coleson Brother's most recent activity of attempting to gather their fleet. For this group, the fleet that was originally prime targets for quick loot, food, and the pleasure of fighting had been drug away from them, and now that they no longer that their playthings around, the instead had a target that was well known enough that perhaps they could also steal and take for themselves. A massive dreadnaught that was so large it could be comparable to that of a marine class dreadnaught.
On the island, several groups were resting, the lagoon now empty thanks to the fact that the older Coleson brother had decided to take the dreadnaught out on a power trip, and to prepare a "fighting station" as he called it. The men who were on the island had taken a liking to it's quaint shape of a chevron, and were drinking and celebrating the successful launch of the ship. Unbeknownst to them however, the light of the celebration had done more than attract a few moths, as in the distance an orange glow was slowly approaching.
The lookout quickly relayed messages down to the first mate, a orange haired twin tailed girl by the name of Cleo. Smiling in preparation, she made a skip and a hop to her beloved captain's quarters. "~Oh Captain~," She sang, before knocking to a rhythm of "pop goes the weasel" on the door of one individual who commanded this crew with grim and spiteful determination. "~ Lookout said that he saw some lights and ships bearing the Slowdunce brother's flag~" she stated, with cynical glee. "~Wanna see it before we wreck it~?"
The Crew awaited with baited breath for their captain to come out of her cabin, and to give them a long awaited order. It had been nearly 3 weeks since their last ship from the Coleson Brothers had been plundered, and they were all thirsty for more. The question was how the Captain of the Grim Wrath Pirates would respond, and prepare for battle.

The crew was assembled. She had made sure she recruited the ones who wanted to get back at the world that left them to die. But they didn't just lay down and die. They were determined to give what-for to whatever or whomever their captain commanded. She looked out her window and grinned wide with her sharp teeth. "Shahahaha...disgusting." The ocean which she may have called home a long time ago and would have welcomed her back with open arms now hated her. She stared at the surface of the water then narrowed her eyes as she slipped on her mask.
The knocking came and the voice of Cleo followed. Such a chipper and fun one that Cleo. But the sound of THOSE cretins coming into view made the impish Kismet shiver with anticipation. She'd love to let off a bit of steam on them. SHe opened the doors and eyed Cleo only briefly before looking at the rest of the crew. "Shahahaha..." she'd cackle. She clambered up to get a better look at their target like a possessed gremlin then tilted her head when she saw the telltale colors. She threw her head back and shifted her weight to her left side with arms outstretched.
She took off and held her mask in her left hand, turned to face the rest of the ship with her violet eyes filled with twisted glee while her set of sharp teeth were formed into its chesire shape. She rolled her head around, hunched over a bit. Then gave the order they wanted to hear. "Let's show them a grim welcome! Leave nothing valuable behind!" she declared as she drew her gruesomely fanged blade and raised it into the air. This of course was how she let them know it was time to raid and to let them have at anything fair game...and to cut down anyone who got in the way of that.
She sheathed her weapon, put on her mask and turned back to look at the ships. "Let's give them a touch of wrath..." she chuckled. This of course was another idiom. One of which meant their favorite murder-happy officers got to have fun early to cause a bit of mass chaos to get things really going.

Clambering up to see the view, the captain Kismet would see in the distance the yellow glow of lanterns, and even saw the ships, as one of her grunts handed her the spyglass to get a better look. Sure enough, two ships were seen, the glow of their lanterns never being turned off in the night indicating how sloppy these "pirates" were. They thought they were safe.
Her crewmates looked at their captain's eyes, and smiled with as wicked glee as she did when they were told there orders. Leave NOTHING valuable behind. Everything was theirs for the taking, as the crew cheered their captain, and quickly got to work preparing and arming themselves. Cleo skipped down to her captain as she attempted to make her way towards her captain, before snatching the spyglass herself. Cynical to the point, but also selfish. Looking through it, she leaned against the guardrail. "~Such pretty lights... makes me want to....~" Cleo turned dark in an instant, "Smash them into pieces and burn everything down." Handing the item back to the Lookout. Turning to her captain, her mood improved, until she realized who was behind her. "Oh great.... I almost hoped you didn't hear anything." She muttered, before solid steps echoed behind Kismet. These steps belonged only to her Martial Artist and Cook, Jubei. He looked over Kismet at the glow. "Those souls do not know what will hit them. Such lack of discipline. It'll be a shame if we let them waste good food by using it without damned good reason Captain." Jubei stated as he glowered towards the island. It was clear that Jubei wanted to take the food, as it meant he could make more delicious food for his captain who always had a profound appetite. He rarely spoke unless needed, so this spoke more on what he wanted from this than anything.
Cleo rolled her eyes at the stick in the mud that Jubei tended to be. "Of course you're focused on the food.... Not that I don't blame you. ~I'd rather have our captain enjoy a good meal with the rest of us as we feast on our soon to be spoils!~" Cleo sang, before clicking her metallic fingers along the railing. "~I even think I saw some food being thrown around.~" Cleo teased, as she manipulated the old man's pet peeve. Jubei's rage began to boil as he spoke again, "How dare they waste food. It's dishonoring the hard effort that it takes to cook such things to waste it. Omaiwamo."
Then the sound of crunching wood was heard, as a man with a blonde mop of a head of hair walked up to the captain. "So.... I can finally stop doing this?" He asked, holding a piece of what had been a mast that had several hundreds of what looked like bullet holes in it up to display, as he took a finger and with blinding speed punched another hole into the chunk of mast, the same wooden crunch from before heard. Mayde grinned as he looked alive once more. These last few days he had gone through several sections of mast from other ships he had collected for dry spells like this one, but his need to punch holes into things only delayed the inevitable desire for murder that even now radiated from him. "Are you saying, I can finally have some fun again?" He said, slowly turning towards the orange glow that was growing larger. "Ke,Khe,Ke,Khe,Ke,Khe." He half cough laughed at the burn on his left side had permanently altered his mad chuckle into a sharp sound like he was half coughing as well.
"I told you to take your medicine Duss." A final muffled and filtered voice stated, as he came from Kismet's room, holding a few empty vials. Before this, Kismet had been doping herself up on stimulants that the individual who approached had a white fox mask with red eyes and a giant screw like filter on the side. The ship's doctor, Pulah flipped the empty vials that had traces of something brown in them. "How are the caffeine vials? Any improvements so far Captain?" He asked, having been trying various other sources of stimulants to keep her desire for his special concoctions in check. He enjoyed seeing his results, but his stimulants were expensive. Coffee was not so much. "If not, then I can try to condense the dosage. Side effects will of course include dehydration, the need to visit the private office, and the usual stuff..... but still Duss, I am a bit disappointed. Is my medicine really that bad tasting?" He asked, from beyond the mask. Mayde Duss glowered at the man. "They make me feel bloated. Almost make me wonder if I should pop myself." The murderer joked with dark humor.
Pulah took out a note before writing the effect down, "Well I knew about the bloating, but now I can say that they induce morbid curio tendencies." He said, before looking at his captain, completely disregarding the fact they were approaching their next destination. All four of her officers gathered around Kismet, the buzz of stimulants in her veins, as well as the promise of plenty of food, loot, and most importantly violence against the world that continued to deny them made each of them look forward to what they wanted the most. To be pirates.

She could feel her senses heightened, blood pumping through her veins as Kismet bore witness to the excited clamoring of her crew. The violet eyes now easily seen and highlighted by her mask, widened as she looked at Cleo whose words and mood elicited a memory of how she caused an uprising when she found her. As expected, she bore hate toward their enemies. If she weren't wearing her mask, they'd be able to see a proud smile on those fanged teeth of hers. They'd often tell by how wide or narrowed her eyes were under the mask to tell them her mood. "After we take everything, you can do whatever you want." she explained.
As expected, the old man was ready to break bones for such wanton frittering away of food. "How wasteful..." she murmured, half-jokingly adding "Maybe we should cook them instead as punishment?" she slapped her knee with her standard "Shahahaha" as she further added with an obvious disgust in her voice "...on second thought, such scum wouldn't even sit right in my stomach and taste absolutely disgusting."
Speaking of murdering them, she witnessed the boredom of Mayde had gotten a bit out of hand. Poking holes into things instead of actual flesh. He was getting closer to even trying it on a crewmate if he got bored enough. Thankfully, they had plenty of objects for him to test on. Maybe should keep one of these goons alive for practice. The thought made her chuckle again. "Yeah, lots of fun!" she assured with her hands presented menacingly. "They're all filled with fun and need some help getting the fun out!" Before she could get another hearty cackle in, out came Pulah.
Reflexively she took a breath and felt the effects of the stimulants coursing through herbody. That substance tasted bitter but it did give her an edge in keeping her senses very much at high levels. It staved off the need to grab a vial of the good stuff but lacked any of the real kick she got from the real deal. Better than the aftereffects. "Yeah. I can resist for a couple of days without the need of the good stuff. The bloating is fine...makes me feel bigger! Shahahaha!"
These were the ones she hand-picked herself. One whose talents were robbed by royals. One who was exiled from their longtime homeland. One whose curiosities were misunderstood. One whose profession was frowned upon by not being entirely legitimate.
The rest of them. Those dogs of the World Government had almost gotten their hands on them for their illicit activities in the past but joined her. Freedom was something to fight for. But it was their own freedom they were fighting for; a sentiment she shared deeply with them all. They were hated. Too bad Kismet's hatred was even stronger the more she was hated. But what what fueled her now was to be feared. To start getting such reactions, she needed to really make waves by getting started with looting. ANd getting her hands on a map to the Grand Line. The strong were there. They were feared. If she went there, she could become stronger. Cast her and her crew's name as a shadow across the world. The dark shadow now part of her body that writhed within her. This was just a stepping stone.
"The rest of you...join in as you see fit. I'll be right behind..." she assured with her violet eyes in her mask narrowing.

The officers of her crew all smiled. Each of them sated with the promise that they knew would be guaranteed. Soon, the entire North Blue would know of what happened this night......
The members of the Coleson Pirates smiled, drank, and made merry as they ate in the open air, enjoying rum, beer, meat, and fruits to their heart's content. It was a reward given by the older Coleson Brother as a good job for their hard work. Most of these men were more use to fighting on the sea and plundering small towns on the outskirts of the Kingdoms protected by the World Government. If anything, they were glad they didn't have to slave away on the open sea dragging the Dreadnought through the darkness. Instead, they were told to enjoy themselves, scrap all of the wood, collect the food, weapons, and cannons as they were told simply this. Prepare for War. Their ships were faster, and as a result the older Coleson Brother had planned ahead. With that said, one of the few officers of the Coleson Pirates, the head shipwright was red with glee as he drank, before the call of nature suddenly made him realize he needed to take a moment to himself. Heading outside of the lights of the shacks, music, food, and lights; Gordon Noman finished his business, before blinking as he looked over the sea.... only to be facing the Niddhogg right before him as it beached onto the shore. "What...." the bulking man said as he was stunned for the moment.
The Crew were waiting patiently on the edge of the railings, blades, guns, flails, spears, and hammers at the ready. They were primed, but more than that they were patient for a reason. Fear. While their captain did induldge in their desires, she required respect and absolute obedience when she desired it. They knew they'd be let loose soon.... they just needed to hear the words. Even her officers waited patiently, though Maydee did poke one final hole, before dropping the piece of wood, looking more like a giant cork than a piece of a mast.

"Alright, you all!" she snarled out with a proud voice. Kismet crawled a like a demon possessed straight to the bow of the Nidhogg and pointed out her jagged sword Craven, pointing it at the island. "Begin the attack! Take everything! Cut down anyone in your way! Have fun!"
They were going to take it all; treasure, food, and even lives if it came down to it. But the ambitious fishwoman did not care about the lives of the opposing side. They had no value to her. Leave nothing valuable behind. She already knew what she was going to do. This was going to be the start of her mark on the world. The mark of a wrathful bunch whose grim countenance would overshadow the entire world.
As the assault began, Kismet waited for the rest to depart inland before she herself would drop down from the bow and land on her two legs. She would then make her slow, menacing gait into the fray all while her piercing violet eyes beamed from beyond the dark eyeholes of the golden mask she bore.

Gordon stared in shock and awe as he saw the sudden crowd of pirates that he had never seen before arrive. Even this ship was something he had not seen in the entire armada, but quickly snapped back to reality as he watched a masked figure jump down, their mask only barely gleaming a golden silver from the moonlight, but that's not what grabbed Gordon's attention. It was the violet eyes that pierced the darkness of the eye sockets. He'd stare at the mask, realizing from various rumors who this was. "The G.... G-golden Maw...." He whispered to himself, more in fear than anything else. Instinctively he took a step backwards, not watching where he did so, as a loud and audible snap could be heard by Kismet since most of the cheering and bloodthirsty howls were already beginning to be less audible as her people rapidly closed the distance on the party.
All of her Lieutenants had already pushed ahead with the rest, some waltzing without hurry towards their targets, while other ran like madmen out for blood, or leading the charge like how her first mate did. For now, since Kismet was relatively alone, she'd hear the snapping of a stick to her left.

The moment the twig snapped, her reaction was instantaneous. Her eyes seemed to create a glowing path as they quickly locked onto the spot where the noisewas heard. Those eyes seemed to have created a violet trail as the head of the golden maw moved from side to side curiously. Every step, she tilted it menacingly.
"Shahahaha~"
Her tone was a low rumble. It was like a distant wave closing in on the shore full of unwary louts fat off their purses and drinking merrily. In fact, it was very MUCH that situation. She seemed to know exactly where the noise came from but made it very clear she looked slightly away from where Gordon was. A giddy feeling welled up inside her. Her head scanned right...then left. Each time, missing where the exact noise was.
She could feel it bubbling up like a geyser. It was killing her to not do it right away! Her face, unseen, was on the verge of uttering a full-blown laugh as she turned herself around and took a few steps away. This was to give Gordon a sense of relief that she did not notice. It was a momentary reprieve though as soon as she was out of view.....she slid right back in, staring directly where Gordon was.
"Come now..." she withdrew her weapon and took a few steps, casually spinning the blade in her right hand with arms out to each side. "...share some of the wealth~" While she said it so warmly, her eyes showed no such feeling. It evoked a feeling that was cold. Empty. Devoid of empathy. Share the wealth? No. That look was someone who wanted it ALL!

Gordon held his breath, unsure what he should do as he began to hear the chaos that had begun to roar on the small island cove. Nothing made sense. Why was the golden maw here! The fact they were attacking meant they weren't wanting to join the Coleson Brothers! No, had they come for the Dreadnaught?! He placed his hands over his mouth, fearing that every time the monster scanned where he was that his ragged breathing would give him away.
He knew all too well why the Coleson Brothers had withdrawn from recruiting them. The fact that they were far more bloodthirsty and wrathful meant that their entire crew was like-minded and the only thing that kept them together was the Maw itself. So.... Why were they here?!
When he finally watched the Maw slink away towards the main action, Gordon kept his mouth covered, and began to step back again. To hell with fighting. He needed to escape and join up with the Brothers to warn them that the Grim Wrath Pirates had attacked their shipyard. He needed to wa-
He didn't even finish the thought as he was about to turn only to end up facing a very in front of him Golden Maw, and he yelled and leapt backwards. Hearing the sword unsheathed, he realized he didn't have the luxury to sneak away. She had been toying with him all along! What's more, he didn't have his weapon!
Watching as she approached, Gordon did the only thing he could, waiting for his opponent to approach, his hands digging into the sands as though bracing himself. When Kismet got close enough, Gordon with his massive hands and strength would yell, before sending a wave of sand to blind or at the least create a smoke screen as he attempted to tackle Kismet, hoping to disarm the terror with the explosive force behind his body.
Even of he was terrified, he was a Pirate damnit! He had guts at the very least, and his years shifting lumber and a year of building that dreadnaught under his belt, as he attempted to trample over her. If ge could get back to the main area, maybe he could gather the strongest and most loyal to escape with! There was hope if he could at least warn his boss! "OUTTA THE WAY BOOGYMAN!" he screamed his warcry as he tried to fight back.

The moment he made his move, Kismet sneered beneath her mask, the eyes narrowing in the process. He played right into her hands and the fear he elicited was sweet anodyne for the fishwoman's form. That reaction was as she expected. he was desperate and afraid of her. Very liable to make a mistake. A mistake he had already made; running straight into her.
The sand he tossed up caused a momentary lapse in reaction from Kismet who shielded herself from the sudden distraction. Then he dashed right at her to get past her. The moment he managed to do so, however, there was a tight vice that latched around his ankles. Her singular free hand had gripped around it and held him in place. Truly, the grip of a fishwoman was powerful indeed. But there was an even more powerful element at work here.
The menacing aura that surged directly near Gordon.
In a split-second, he was dragged back toward the face of evil that stared directly into his. If devils truly did exist, was this the kind of despair they invoked? "Oh, you wish!" she snarled darkly at his "boogyman" remark. "I am VERY real." The violets spheres that were her eyes grew wide for an instant as she said "VERY". "Do you want to scream? Do you wish to escape? Because I've already deprived you of the latter." Her hand gripped tighter around his ankle while her other hand sheathed her weapon and pointedly raised it to his throat. "And if you even think of doing the former, I'll make sure it's the last sound that escapes your throat before I crush it to DUST!" She emphasized this point with another sheen of her eyes followed by a low, menacing chuckle that emanated from between the golden teeth of the mask.

Gordon thought he was home free as he tackled Kismet down, thinking he had trampled her under his weight as he attempted to scramble up, starting to get excited as he realized he had been scared of nothi-
Only to find himself tripping face first into the sand as he nearly dropped his hammer. Feeling the grip on his ankle he couldn't believe it himself. "No... There's no way...." He said in disbelief. He weighed well over 300 pounds! Even the strongmen couldn't lift Grodon when he barreled after them, yet this scrawny looking fishman seemed to hold on with an unearthly strength! Even worse, he noticed something. He had been dragged through the sand when he had tripped... No... He noticed the aura around himself. Darkness, blacker than the night around them as his eyes were wide in shock. He saw Kismet, heard her, stared into her eyes in horror, before gritting his teeth. He wasn't gonna die here to no boogieman! Swinging his hammer wide, he aimed at the mask of the violet eyed horror before him, "DIE!" He yelled, at least showing he wasn't a coward, and was willing to fight to the last as Kismet chuckled.
Even if his swing missed, he kicked at her gripping hand, hoping to dislodge himself. Kismet would find it difficult to dodge the blow coming from the hammer if she held on; though she could likely tank the blow easily if she wanted. Though perhaps her mask wouldn't be so fortunate to survive without being marred.

Humans were bold. Very bold. Frightened little pests but still bold. There was no question or doubt in her mind she could have easily taken the hammer to the face with gracious ease. But if the mask she prized were to be damaged, so would her image that inspired fear. She couldn't have that at all. The moment he kicked at her hand, she'd unleash her grip willingly with the attack causing her about no pain at all.
In this moment, she would easily dodge the blow. Then her mind would devise a plan most wondrous. A most tantalizingly delicious idea. She had been keen on stopping him before but why not let them go? By now, they would already know her group had arrived. So his warning would come too late. That, in itself, was fear. Knowing they were too late. She cackled beneath her mask. "No, but your compatriots might." she replied to his 'DIE' declaration. She stared him down. "Shahaha..." she'd sinisterly laugh in a low voice.
"By all means, flee and tell them the news. They might not hear...or by then, it won't even matter." her head tilted eerily and extended her arms. "So go ahead...run knowing that I let you live...it's a period of grace you should enjoyyyyyy." After a period of silence, she trudged forward. Slowly. If he still refused to run, she'd get closer...and closer. Then she'd stop, lower her head then suddenly lunge forward with her head in threatening manner. She'd then roar out suddenly.
"SHAAAAAAAAH!!!"

Gordon could only try to scramble away. His swing having missed he aimed to get away from those teeth he could barely see behind the mask, fearing the monster would tear his throat out. Stumbling up he would turn only to see and finally hear the chaos that was awaiting him even if he did head back. There was fire, blood, and smoke that covered the stars, making the world seem blacker and blacker. His breathing increased, panic and fear creeping back in as he realized that even if he did get away, he'd only be running into a bloodbath.
They were a part of the Coleson Priates. The largest pirate group of the North Blue... Their numbers alone had discouraged the marines from taking action, and forced people along the coast from daring to oppose them... Yet he was watching the events, he heard the terror behind him talk the truth. She was tormenting him simply because she could..... He considered his options. Could he try to beg for his life? Could he.... He turned, fear now likely permanently etched into his face only to be face to face with the Terror of the Golden Maw. The final roar made him fall back, screaming in horror as he decided to run away for his life, avoiding the battle and running along the outside of the beach. He was a coward, yes, and he wasn't going to deny it.
The Golden Maw would see the man running towards some of the smaller ships which were not yet on fire, likely to try an escape and regroup with a larger force, or to run away to hide and tell the terror of her and her crew. The sounds of fighting, the echo of blades and gunfire, and the explosive blast of force, likely from her own members having a bit too much fun without her. She could keep playing with a man who had lost all the will to fight, or she could do something else. Regardless, the night was still young, and there were riches to plunder.
