Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance: Olimpiada has very distinct hair, the roots a dark purplish tinted black, growing out naturally into a bright red, falling well below her waist when she lets it down, usually tied up in a long ponytail. She has a round face dominated by her large orange-gold eyes, exaggerated even more by her rather cutely small nose. She stands at a fair 5 '10", not a short woman by any means, and looks like an Olympic athlete weighing in at 160lb of toned muscle from years of training, built perfectly for a fight with her long arms and legs. Despite being a seasoned fighter, she has very few scars marking her pale skin, largely due to her quirk of course. Across her chest she has a curling snake tattoo that is often visible winding around her left breast and staring upwards near her sternum.
Civilian Clothes: In her day-to-day Olimpiada prefers to wear active wear; joggers or sweatpants worn over bike shorts or leggings, a hoodie or sweater over a simple tank top + sports bra combo, often choosing to wear sneakers or jogging shoes. For the most part she just wants to be prepared for hero work, seeing as her hero outfit only really differs in that she has more gear on her person for rescue operations.
Personality
General Personality: Even at a young age, Olimpiada was driven to be the best. She took to sports with vigor; volleyball, track, soccer, even archery for a bit! This love of being active fostered her competitive nature, though when she has her wits about her she will try to use it to help pump up others around her too, but the heat of competition does tend to bring out the worst in her. Olimpiada is a kind person overall, wanting to help others in need and ensure the safety of everyone she can, she just has a bit of trouble expressing that in very good words. Her family background didn’t do the best in bringing about a very open daughter, she often has trouble expressing deeper sentiment and will often become frustrated and embarrassed with herself, deflecting a bit of that on the other party in a less than polite way. When she has the mental fortitude, she will try to bring herself back around and remedy such incidents, but she’s not perfect. This was especially evident in her interaction with other heroes, often trying to start contests with them to prove herself to them, even those who have giving their ‘seal of approval’ to her will find themselves being challenged to this or that by the smoky hero.
As a hero, she tried to make a persona of the silent badass, finding it better to hold her tongue as much as possible so as not to end up with egg on her face with someone she’s rescuing/rescued. This has led to her having a habit of chewing her bottom lip in battle, making a bit of a snarl that has become an infamous part of Sizzle’s repertoire, or famous if you’re a fan. Her habit of challenging others to competition continues into her hero work, often challenging even villains to competitions, if they win then she’s probably not in any state to bring them in after all. Not having fellow heroes to compete against in a friendly way, Olimpiada's competitive nature has become an aggression that she uses fighting to let out. Sometimes crossing the line when her mood is darker.

History:
From Russia, With Love
Growing up as the oldest daughter of Valaya Drozdov was no easy feat. Olimpiada was pushed to do her best in everything, though was not held to extreme standards, she was still expected to work her hardest and become the best she could be. Her quirk began to manifest at a pretty young age, the girl moving about the house as a cloud of smoke, dropping things when she accidentally dissipated a section of her hand, once she got scattered in the wind for a few hours. It definitely prompted an immediate change in her life. Valaya’s teachings were some of the best that one could receive, but even Russia’s famed Cold Front knew that she could not be the only teacher for her daughter, nor could she do so while maintaining her presence as a pro-hero. She decided they would have a rigorous training regimen once a year for winter break from school, and the Drozdov family moved to Japan. This move took place when Olimpiada was ten, the competitive girl eagerly jumping into a new challenge of a strange new land.
Adjusting wasn’t too terribly difficult, language being the first hurdle she needed to deal with, she got along fairly well with her classmates despite constantly vying to be the top of the class in everything, her competitive nature proved to spurn on the class as a whole to try harder after seeing the new girl’s passionate fire for winning. In her second year living in Japan she was graced with a baby brother, Kolya, who she loved immensely from the moment he came home. In the coming years she threw herself into her studies, preparing herself to become a hero and join a hero course at either UA or Shiketsu. It was a hard road, maintaining her status as a sports queen while using nearly all of her free time to study and practice with her quirk, she was still a long way from being a pro-hero, but her control over her quirk was on track for her mother’s expectations of her at the very least. It was the day that she received a letter saying that her name had been put forth for Shiketsu’s recommended entrance exam, and she had never been more excited! She doubled down on her training, she needed to succeed, she needed to win.
The day of the exam, she felt like a ball of nervous energy that had only one outlet to be released. There were only nine other students there, and of those she was the only one from her school, but Olimpiada never had trouble with meeting new people, the problem came in when she realized there was an air of pure competition hanging over all of them, each of them were like her. They wanted to succeed, they wanted to win. Nothing had ever made her grin more than when they were told the practical exam would be an obstacle course. It was a dead heat for the front runners, Olimpiada and three others vying for first place at every turn, whenever one was taking a more defining lead they would find themselves passed up by the next. All she could hear was her heart pounding in her ears. Go faster. Faster. FASTER! The four of them all lay on their backs breathing heavily by the time the race was done. Olimpiada looked at the ranking board, her own name right there in the #4 spot below Ejiri Izumo (#3), Sata Okano (#2), and Honoka Morioka (#1) but she didn’t see it as a loss. She had a gap to hurdle, and the motivation was there in spades now. Welcome to Shiketsu, Olimpiada Drozdov.
Shiketsu’s Killer Quartet
As far as schools go, the hero schools were a bit of an oddity that one really couldn’t prepare for if they tried, and it was everything Olimpiada wanted. The class was full of people like her, but most importantly the three who beat her in the entrance exam were there, and she was extra keen on befriending them. She very quickly established herself as a loud one with a big heart, she would constantly push her classmates to keep going, to fight on even when they were tired and could barely lift their arms and legs, or when they were so anxious about a test that they couldn’t think of anything else, Olimpiada was there to give a helping hand and a little push.
Her first year was fairly unremarkable, she had a reputation and was well liked, as well as the rumor mill talking about the four students who had been recommended to the school being called the Killer Quartet, they were the talk of Shiketsu’s class 1A. Plans were made for the class to meet over the summer at least once, but Olimpiada found herself unable to make it. That summer she and her family visited their home in Russia, her parents were asked to do a favor for some old friends, they needed some help on a hero job. No Drozdov would ever turn down such a request, even if they had known what would happen. What should have been a simple job became a lot more complicated very quickly, and in a last ditch effort to save everyone, her father didn’t make it out, and her mother took a wound that would force her to retire. Olimpiada didn’t return to Japan until the week they returned to school, her drive was notably absent, the silence coming from her was deafening. Old friends flocked to them, offering whatever support they needed, some of her father's former allies, and mentees, making promises to watch over the young hero while she was away from home.
Thankfully for her, she had very much made friends in the class, and for them to see their fearless Olimpiada be so subdued and hollow was not something they could stand. They pulled together and each wrote her a small letter about how she had helped them when they were down and out, and while it wasn’t an instant fix...Olimpiada found herself moved by the sentiment from her classmates, a group who had only known her for a year and yet wanted to see her happy again so badly! She had found a family in them. In her second year she found a new drive, to uphold the memory of her father, and be a hero in his name. In honor of the late Sacha Drozdov, she took his hero name and became Sizzle.
Though she was not in any way recovered from the loss of her father, having something to drive towards was just the thing she needed to get back on track and find her competitive spirit again. It wasn’t long before a semblance of the Olimpiada they had come to know was back again, and just in time for the provisional license exam. It was time for the Killer Quartet to show off to the other schools, and Olimpiada to show who the name Sizzle belonged to now. The Quartet made an amazing showing, having little trouble dealing with the other students in the first phase, and made quick work of the rescue phase, the four of them taking charge and leading the charge with Olimpiada at the head. She took a lot of time to study rescue techniques after her father’s passing, and found that her quirk was especially good for finding people trapped in rubble. Needless to say, they passed with flying colors.
She has always been more private about her feelings, only her close friends in the Quartet had seen much of her deeper emotions, it was this closeness that deepened during this time. Olimpiada, and Morioka had been closer for a while, and she was right there for Olimpiada through the trying loss of her father, it was during the high flying victory they had brought their class that they found themselves in the midst of a blossoming romance that the other members of the Quartet had seen coming for miles.
With her second year coming to a close, Olimpiada used that summer to pick up an internship with a hero agency and truly hone her abilities as a hero herself. She planned to hit the hero scene hard as soon as she graduated, her drive was an ever burning flame that had only been fueled with the approaching third year. It was a hard summer, the hero she worked for knew she wasn’t a pushover, and had actually worked for her parents agency a long time ago! She used this time to even further hone her combat skills, throwing herself into missions where she’d be facing enemies with weapons to further learn how to use her quirk defensively. It was a very productive summer, there was no doubting that Olimpiada was on the track for great things.
Third year began, they were almost ready to enter the world of heroes. Each of the Killer Quartet knew where they were going to go after the year ended already with hero agency openings lined up, and maybe a sidekick opportunity! But they had to graduate first, there was a lot of studying and classwork left to do. As a class they worked hard together, doing their best to leave an impression on Shiketsu High once they were gone, they had come a long way since their first year. It was honestly a fairly unremarkable year, that was until after winter break. When they returned, they found that one of the Killer Quartet had left the school….in favor of taking the villain route. Honoka Morioka was now an enemy, leaving an empty hollow in Olimpiada's heart that was filled with indignant rage, an unquenchable flame, why had she left them? Why had she left her? It was a deep rupture in the group, the top student of the class had gone dark? The Quartet didn’t fall apart, but the name wasn’t ever said again, and the three remaining had only one thing on their mind for graduation. Bringing Morioka in was their new goal, the three remaining would do anything to complete it, spending most of their free time doing recon work. It was rough going, and the rest of the year was marred by it, graduation was solemn and quiet.
To be a Hero
The Trio went to work, spending about half their time working for their respective Hero Agencies to begin making names for themselves, meet the right people, and make some money. The other half of their time they planned, eventually using their money to buy a small office space that became their HQ, going so far as to live there while they hunted Morioka down. With the three top students of Shiketsu on the case, and how well they knew Morioka, it didn’t take long to begin finding leads. Pretty soon they were on her tail, and abandoned everything else to chase her down.
It was a two year endeavor, but finally they cornered her. They always knew it would be a fight, what they hadn’t counted on was a second betrayal, this time from Izumo who attacked Olimpiada just as they were about to have Morioka in custody! Olimpiada vs. Izumo, and Okano vs. Morioka in the final fate of the Killer Quartet. When they were next seen, Olimpiada and Okano carried their former friends, all of them beaten and bloody from the struggle. Despite everything, they still have no real answer to why they betrayed their school, and their closest friends.
Quirk
Name: Get Smoked
Quirk Type: Transformer
Power: Olimpiada’s whole body is able to become like smoke, allowing her to be especially evasive. She has a great control over which portion of her body is changed, though it doesn’t affect anything worn on her person, she can move as a smoke cloud to pass through fences or under doors. She is able to maintain portions of herself as smoke even if it would disconnect a part of herself (such as her forearm, midsection, or neck) but will lose feeling in the still solid portion of her body, and nearly all strength is sapped from the area until she fully reforms. Beyond becoming smoke, she has some control over the chemical makeup of the smoke, allowing her to produce several effects on her opponents and surroundings. In most cases while in combat she will maintain a large portion of her hair as one form of smoke or another, letting it disperse through the area as she maneuvers around.
Supermoves:
Caustic Smoke: The smoke that gave Olimpiada her title as The Caustic Hero, she turns the chosen portion(s) of her body into a highly acidic smoke that will begin to cause light chemical burns if exposed for more than ten seconds, any contact will cause extreme irritation to the skin and eyes, as well as via inhalation. This is the effect that she finds most useful by far as a deterrent. This acid is especially effective on most plastics, and will eat through an inch of steel in five minutes. Neutralizing the acid requires a base of some sort; baking soda, ammonia, lye, etc. Using water will actually spread and worsen the affected area.
[This will take effect on the next post, increasing in severity with each post one is exposed for the next 5 posts]
Super-Acidic: Reserved for the nastiest foes, Sizzle has a superacid based on Fluoroantimonic Acid, one of the most acidic substances around. Known to eat through and dissolve almost any organic material, and reacts with almost any media it is introduced to with the exception of Teflon. This superacid will dissolve glass and metal, and rapidly dehydrate anything it touches, introduction of water will cause a violent almost explosive reaction, and heating causes the production of toxic gas. This smoke is so volatile that Sizzle herself isn't immune to the effects, she's never used this smoke and come out the other side unscathed, she refuses to use it with civilians too near, and any allies in the vicinity need to give her the okay to use it. Needless to say, this is a true weapon in her arsenal, not one used lightly by the hero.
[On exposure the acid will take effect for a total of 10 posts with exponentially painful severity]
Trippy Smoke: With a bit of tweaking, Olimpiada came up with a more psychological weapon. Though it takes a little bit of time to fully ramp up to peak effectiveness, once inhaled it will only be a matter of time before the afflicted party will begin experiencing hallucinations. Depending on how much is inhaled, it will be about ten seconds before small visual hallucinations start; little movements at the corner of the eye, some slight warping. Mostly distracting, but not incapacitating. Beyond this phase will be thirty seconds after initial inhalation, at which point the more potent hallucination begins. The visual hallucinations will be the most affected, perception beginning to view like a fish-eye lens, the warping growing far more extreme. About one minute after inhalation the afflicted will start to have more intense hallucinations that include mirages, and a bit of skewed time perception (usually making time feel long and drawn out). This doesn't fully incapacitate most people, but the confusion definitely gives her an upper hand.
[Upon exposure it takes one post round to take effect, reaching maximum effect after 3 posts, and lasting 3 more posts following]
Sedative Smoke: This versatile quirk isn't just used to incapacitate foes, it is also used to aid in rescue operations. The most commonly used is a twist on her Trippy smoke that helps calm down panicking civilians by lowering elevated heart rate so that their condition can be assessed.
Antiseptic Smoke: When applied to an open wound, this smoke will help prevent infection from starting and/or spreading. This is also somewhat combat viable if there is a reason to believe that an ally, or herself, has suffered a wound that could become an issue sooner rather than later.
Heavy Smoke: A personal favorite of hers, this is a very simple cover utility. This smoke is a powerful obscuring agent, able to turn a 20 square foot area nearly impossible to see more than a foot through without some sort of thermal enhancement. This is most often used when she's in a situation to fully become a smoke cloud.
Fire Suppressant Smoke: This twist on her Heavy Smoke is a bright red heavy almost powder that Sizzle can use to put out some fires depending on their size and severity. For the most part this is used to clear a path through a burning building, put out a fire on someone else, or aid in fighting a fire based enemy.
Conductive Smoke: When it comes to subduing an enemy for capture, this smoke is absolutely a must. In tandem with her constant flow of smoke in a small area from the cycle of her hair dispersing and reforming nearly at all times, and her shock gloves, she will deliver a jolt of electricity to her opponent that carries through areas of the cloud with a heavy enough concentration and is enough to stun most people rather quickly, enough of a concentration and a long enough zap from her glove can floor a grown man. In a pinch she's used this to jump start electronics, and once even a car!
Flammable Smoke: Like her Conductive Smoke, this requires an outside force to activate and use to its fullest extent. A fairly simple effect, it takes little more than a spark to set this smoke ablaze, however it comes with a few additional problems in that once it catches she cannot stop the fire from burning through the entire flammable section, and whatever is burnt off is returned to Sizzle's physical form, and cannot use a portion of herself as any kind of smoke for a few seconds while she recovers. The affected area burns lightly, the relief of the pain signifying when she's able to go at full power again. [This effect lasts for two posts]
Drawbacks: As previously mentioned, any part of her that is smoke loses feeling, and any portion of her beyond that similarly loses feeling and a great portion of strength. If she becomes a full cloud of smoke, she loses all of her senses and is only aware of the cloud as a whole and where each section is in relation to another. In addition, if the cloud is scattered too far then it will delay her reforming, taking at least 65% of the cloud in close enough proximity to become fully solid again, making high winds a big problem even when she's able to move herself as smoke, it takes a lot of effort to fight the wind. As only her form turns to smoke, she can't wear much armor or gear without risking losing it in a fight, making her effectively defenseless in some situations.
Fighting Style: Olimpiada is a very in your face combatant. She uses various martial arts in tandem with her quirk to afflict her opponent with whatever smoke she is currently using to lock them down, using her ability to allow their blows to pass through her to gain the upper hand.

Hero Outfit: Since her quirk often causes her to lose clothes at least momentarily, she will pick loose clothes that are easy to shuck off on the top layer, her real hero outfit consisting of a yellow-orange sports bra type top, military style pants, boots, and armored gloves she has custom made to absorb impact, and the knuckles can deliver an electric shock akin to a taser. On her left arm she wears a pouch that she keeps extra charges for her gloves in, two similar pouches on her waist, and another on her right thigh. These contain other emergency supplies; a thermal blanket, medical scissors, flashlight, bandages, general first aid kit, etc. Mostly for if she does a rescue unexpectedly. On the back of her belt she carries a combat knife, just in case. Under her military pants she will wear a similar yellow-orange pair of knee length leggings. In a pinch she will become a smoke cloud and flow back into her clothing, retaining modesty if she can (though she’s long since gotten over the embarrassment of being exposed out of her hero suit, she is adept at reclaiming it for the media’s sake).
As she transitioned from being a pro hero, to a vigilante, her outfit has changed somewhat. In lieu of the camo print on her pants, and gloves, she has swapped to a more discreet black. As well as swapping to black boots. The only thing added to her outfit is a cowl that covers her face from the nose down

It has been so long since then, Olimpiada soaring above and beyond until she’s gotten to where she is today. She briefly ran a hero agency with Okano as her co-founder, and partner, continuing to better the world in honor of the Quartet they formed in their youth. Sizzle’s popularity rose and rose all the while, the badass woman who took down baddies with no nonsense, and some action-hero level martial arts that were almost as flashy as they were effective. This perfect storm, along with being a part of a very famed generation of now pro heroes, brought Olimpiada right back to where she sat back in her school days. Number Four.
Faith No More
Hero work was the joy of Olimpiada's life. She Quirk
