Servants
Class: Archer
Alias:
True Name: Napoleon Bonaparte
History:
A man that had risen to power on the heels of the French Revolution, bringing order and stability to a country lost in a decade of turmoil from both internal and external threats. He was a man who, in the face of it all, established himself as the first Emperor of the France and waged war against all of Europe to bring it under his thrall. A man whose star had rose to untold heights in so short a time only to fall from the heavens, ultimately living out the remainder of his life in exile, his reputation in tatters.
The Servant, Napoleon Bonaparte, is not that man. No, the Servant is no more than what the people viewed him to be, the idol of France. His every move and decision was not because he wished it but because the very people of France wished it so. If they believed with all their being that he met the great Iskandeer within a pyramid, then of course it must be true. Was it true that he destroyed the Sphinx with a volley of artillery? If there were anyone who could do such a thing, it would their Emperor. The bloody Revolution was perpetuated by warring secret societies and navigating such conspiracies were what ultimately propelled him to the top. After all, if it the Emperor, then of course he would do such a thing.
When they desired a savior to pull them from oblivion, he became that savior. He would be the one to show them the possibilities that awaited France, he would be the one to fulfill their deepest desires. A man who carried the hopes and dreams of an entire nation. That is the Servant known as Napoleon Bonaparte. Nothing more and nothing less.
Personality: A boisterous and confident sort that embodies his nature as a Servant: The man of possibility, he affirms every Napoleonic Legend and responds to the wishes of mankind. His own desires are secondary, even should they clash with his Master. Should they dream it, then it is up to him to live up to those very dreams. For those of the present and the future, there is no other course to follow.
His thoughts on his prior life are simple: He acknowledges his past actions and the many outcomes, be they good or bad, but they ultimately are no longer a concern. The past should stay in the past and one must move forward no matter what. If one asks him about a legend or event, he’ll simply acknowledge it only to quickly say, “Master, let us make a new legend instead!”
Weapon of choice: An oversized, hand-carried artillery cannon, dubbed the Arc de Triomphe. While its ordinance is most suited for bombardment, being an artillery weapon and all, but it is also capable of rapid-fire akin to a volley gun and can even fire a sustained rainbow-like beam. It is something that, in his natural lifetime, Napoleon never owned but gained upon his induction into the Throne of Heroes. In addition to serving as Napoleon’s sole Noble Phantasm, he has proven rather adept at utilizing its mass as a melee weapon should it prove necessary.
Noble Phantasm:
Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile: The Iridescent (Rain) Bow that Signals His Triumphal Return Sonorously – Rank A, Anti-Army
Bearing the same name as the French monument, Arc de Triopmphe is a cannon that converts the possibilities and wishes of mankind into cannonballs, the ordinance themselves appearing as streaks of rainbow as they tear through the skies. Besides standing on its own merits as the Emperor’s trump card, the Noble Phantasm has gained anti-divine properties due to one of the legend’s regarding Napoleon’s brief time in Egypt, specifically the incident where Napoleon bombarded the Great Sphinx of Giza, culminating in the destruction of its nose.
Skills:
Class Skills:
Independent Action, Rank C: The ability to act independently for a while, even without a Master to supply mana. At rank C, Napoleon can remain in the world for a single day after losing his Master.
Magic Resistance, Rank C: Cancels spells with a chant below two verses. Unable to defend against large-scale magecraft like High-Thaumaturgy or Greater Rituals. Though he should be resistant to weaker forms of magecraft, those derived from the Age of Gods (however weak they may be) can still affect Napleon due to his status as a relatively modern Heroic Spirit.
Personal Skills:
Firepower Support, Rank B+: A skill derived from his time as an artillery officer and used in more tactical situations that don’t require his presence on the frontline (or rather, to be the center of attention), Napoleon uses his cannon to provide support in the form of intense bombardment.
Charisma of Triumphant Return, Rank B: To say that Napoleon possessed a special kind of charisma would be an understatement. The man who would become the Emperor of France had won the hearts of the people themselves and, upon his return from exile, had swayed even the army to his side without so much as a single shot.
Light of Possibility, Rank B: A skill that operates in the same realm as both Pioneer of the Stars and Innocent Monster. The man known as Napoleon Bonaparte accomplished his feats not through the power of legend but with his own two hands, effectively creating an idol representation of the Emperor that serves as the basis of the Heroic Spirit Napoleon. Above else, he is a man that responds to the “expectations” and “possibilities” of man.
Imperial Privilege, Rank B: An ability that, due to the insistence of the owner, allows the possession of skills not normally suited to his class for a short period of time. As the first Emperor of France and one who served amongst his men on the frontlines, Napoleon possesses the skills of Riding, Swordsmanship, Arts, Charisma and Tactics, among others.
Physical appearance:
Clashing with the most well-known imagery of the Emperor of France, Napoleon is both exceptionally tall and muscular, a far cry from the propaganda demeaning him as a height-challenged and somewhat scrawny man. Supposedly if he was summoned as a Rider, he would match more historical accounts but that can’t be verified.
Clothing and Armor : Befitting the Emperor who made his name on the battlefield, Napoleon stands in no more than the uniform he commanded his Grand Armée.
