”Aaaaaand… here we are!”
Glenn was thankful that the cafe was as close as he remembered it being; he probably would have died of embarrassment right then and there if he had shown himself up with the first girls that he had gotten to hang out with him in a long while. Like its name implied, the Comfy Clefairy was a small hole-in-the-wall nighttime cafe, opening its doors for exactly the crowd like these three teens. It was a frequent spot for those looking to calm down from the excitement of the stadium, or for chill vibes in general. With luck, it would help get Glenn’s mojo back in time for him to get closer to these girls!... like, as friends, probably. He wasn’t shooting for the stars or anything. Of course not.
The Clefairy at the door was wearing a flat-brimmed cap, and greeted them with a glimmering smile. Before they made their way inside, the Clefairy took a strip off of a device attached to its wrist, handing a strip to each of them. These strips had a number, which, as the two girls looked around once they got inside, corresponded to the order number at the counter. Like with most nights (especially because of the big battles at the stadium tonight), the Comfy Clefairy was bustling. It would be awhile before they got called for their orders.
”There’s a booth right over here!” Glenn acted quickly, not wanting his momentum to drift. He got into the booth on one side, expecting both of them to sit opposite him… but he wasn’t about to complain if one of them decided to sidle up with him. Either way, Glenn looked at them, doing his best to appear excited… but not too excited. It was like he was back in school. He looked over at Gwen. He didn’t want to admit it, but glasses were a big plus for him. Was that going to be obvious?
”So!... what’s your name, “luv”? I don’t think I caught it back at the stadium.”
