Physical Appearance:
Chao Sun Nao , like his stud of a father, is a handsome young Chinese boy with a fair complexion, dark eyes and short, well-maintained dark-brown hair. His "ascension" has drastically changed his physique, giving him a more well-toned body. Making him more than the average teenager he used to be prior. What does make him stand out a whole lot is his tail. He was not born with it, but now it's there, and it is difficult for Chao Sun Nao to keep this little secret hidden, and tucking it away generally is very... painful and cumbersome.
Clothing and Armor:
In casual wear,Chao Sun Nao likes to wear simple clothes, such as jeans, t-shirts, and anything that will show off his sweet muscles. He has been drilled to remain clean and well-dressed, and his family's lifestyle has helped create a more refined wardrobe.
In the hero role, he uses a loose, traditionally Chinese-inspired outfit, armour pieces he doesn't need, and the pelt of the first demonic creature he exorcised at his grandmother's instructions. They are made to give freedom of motion.
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Pansexual
General Personality:
Before his ascension to divinity,Chao Sun Nao was a typical school nerd, shy, intelligent, and awkward. After his first encounter and subsequent training with Sun Wukong, he became more confident, taking on traits more similar to a young version of his father. Arrogant, cocky, playful and non-serious are some of the most prominent characteristics he displayed lately. He has a certain sense of humour and can sometimes act as the class clown in whatever setting he is in, using his durability to make himself the but of a few jokes to make others laugh. Even in the face of certain death, the Monkey Prince invariably has trouble being serious, to the annoyance of both allies and enemies. He usually does this to mask how insecure he is about his new state of being, coming to terms with the fact that he will never be human again, or worse, and he will continue to be less human as his powers grow stronger.
He is young and has not fully comprehended the consequences of his new reality, and he is more god than man, more divine than mortal. The impurities of his flesh are burned away, and sooner or later, it will dawn on him that all those he treasures will grow old and die while he remains young, potentially forever. He refuses to see this truth, and he currently lives on a high of the abilities he is getting, throwing himself headfirst into the training provided by both Wukong and his grandmother Ming.
His new Identity has also changed much about his relationships, most centred around his family and the overbearing presence of his biological father, Sun Wukong. Where once he was shy and submissive to the will of his mother and stepfather, he has grown increasingly rebellious, which causes a lot of friction. This, combined with his efforts to hide his superhuman side from them, only worsens matters. His growing connection with Wukong has also made him take things less seriously than before, as the Monkey King's genes keep growing. This also shows his inability to take things seriously and his fondness for playing around even when he should not.
Two relationships that have improved due to recent events have been with his younger brother and grandmother. His little brother looks up to him more as a rebel than the studious guy he was before, and he treats his brother with as much brotherly love as he can. (This also causes friction with his parents because He also shows some rebellious tendencies.) As for his maternal grandmother, Ming was the only member of the family who already knew of his connection with the Monkey King and was not surprised when his powers awakened. As such, Ming is among the few peopleChao Sun Nao feels he can open up about his divinity and spends much more time with her than before. (This is positive in the eyes of his parents, and they hope being with Ming will calm him down, but it is not likely.)
He also has an innate reluctance to be in the water, mainly because his connection with Sun Wukong makes it so that he cannot swim... he will sink like a stone.

Anything Else
His upbringing in a very academically inclined household has given him an appreciation for learning, mostly in linguistics, history and symbolism. He can speak five languages apart from English, Mandarin, and Archaic Chinese. (French, Latverian, Russian, Latin, and Quenya). People always seem surprised due to the clash with his otherwise cocky personality.

History:
The Monkey in the Peach Tree
Chao Sun Nao was born as the first child of a young symbolism and linguistics academic called Hua. The exact nature of his conception is, at best, weird. It was not that his mother did not have partners. But the time she became pregnant matched with her having a dream about a peach tree and how a monkey was shaking the blossoms down over her as she stood under it. She caught one of these flowers in her arms, and it sank into her bosom. It did not take long before she found out she was pregnant, and encouraged by her mother, she decided to keep the baby. He was born a few months later, and strangely enough, the staff at the hospital commented on how the room was filled with an extraordinary fragrance of peaches during the birth.
In any case, a boy was born, and his mother decided to call him Chaowithout taking any time to reflect that there might be a father who would want a say in the naming convention. What kind of name is Chao anyway?. During the first few years of his young life, Chao Sun Nao went with his mother on her travels around the world and had seen several countries by the time he turned five when Hua met the man she fell in love with and married. He was a physics professor at Oxford University, and his name was Bai Yang. Due to his young age, it did not take much for Chao Sun Nao to accept the newcomer as a father figure, the little traitor. And he continued to be your garden variety baby. That is if the garden was a peach orchard because he smelled of fresh, ripe peaches. This was more of a mystery to his parents, who had never even used peach soap, than to the rest of the world, who believed they liked to bathe him in peach perfume. It was weird, but not enough to call the police over.
From China to London
Between the ages of five and ten,Chao Sun Nao and his family lived together in the city of Kunming in the Southern part of China. It was also where Chao Sun Nao was born. He was partly raised by his elderly grandmother, Ming, who assisted when his mother and stepfather were busy with work. His first school years were spent here in Kunming, and he learned to read and write at around six. All in all, this period was incredibly dull, and not much happened that was of any importance.
What did happen was when his mother became pregnant again around the time when he was ten years old. This time, it was traditionally with her new husband. Another boy was born from this union, and they named him He. At the same time, Bai was offered a prestigious position at Oxford University in England, and it was decided that the whole family would leave their current lives and move to the other side of the world. Chao Sun Nao disapproved, but there was little he could do about it, and soon after, he found himself in a foreign land without the friends he used to have back in China. The strength of tradition caused Hua to let her mother live with them over there as well.
He threw himself into his studies even more as the years passed and he grew into a teenager. He was also rather lonely. In many ways, he was the model son, with perfect grades and no sign of getting into trouble, despite not having much in terms of friends. Of course, there was still some resentment when everyone kept expecting him to act in a certain way or that he should have decided his whole future by age 15. He did not have the confidence to do anything about it. However, that was about to change.
How to NOT guard Peaches
Chao Sun Nao was 17 when he encountered the most beautiful peach tree ever, with fruits that could as well have been gems from the way they seemed to shine. Something inside him was aching for those fruits; he could not explain it, and no one else seemed to pay them any attention. It was as if they did not even see them at all. The tree grew inside a secluded garden in Chinatown in London, Westminster, belonging to a small teahouse owned by a woman called Ma Mu. Still, he had never seen the owner herself there, and there was nothing with peaches on the many, which made him curious about why they even had the tree outside if none of the fruits were ever used for anything.
His chance to find out more came when he managed to get a part-time job at the cafe, working as a server and at the counter. It did not take much asking to find out that none of the other workers had ever seen a peach tree outside. Which only made him more curious than before. Even when he pointed it out, they saw only regular trees and bushes.
This is where things might have ended ifChao Sun Nao did not have a terrible fight with his mother over what he wanted to study after school. After doing everything they asked, jumping hoop after hoop to please his parents, they still would not accept that he did not want to study at the university. He was tired of studying, and he was tired of it all.
As he was about to leave work later that evening, he was overcome with an impulse to break into the garden. Carefully, he called the stone walls, landing in the soft grass and crept over to the tree. He still doesn't remember the details, but he filled his pockets with ripe fruits before creeping back out and hurrying home. He was exhilarated at his first crime, even if it was just stealing a few peaches.
How wrong he was.
Perhaps a combination of anger and frustration caused him to act without thinking; it could have been the divine blood that flowed inside him, albeit dormant, or an outside influence beckoning him to take the final step. Once he was in his room again, he began to eat the peaches. The sweet fruits were unlike anything he had ever tasted, and before long, he ate all of them.
He became violently ill and only managed to go to the wastebasket before he had to throw up. When came out, it was a black sludge, and it felt like his body was being drained simultaneously. It kept coming, and did not seem like it was going to stop, and did not do so until the basket was almost full. The whole world spun at this point, and he passed out.
At Flowers and Fruit Mountain
When he came again, he was no longer in his room but found himself inside a lunch forest upon a beautiful mountain, with flowing water and trees filled with fruits, flowers, and, to his surprise... many monkeys of different kinds. He also discovered that he had grown a tail, which initially caused no little distress as he tangled it up into everything: himself, bushes, himself again, tripping... and so on.
It was not that Sun Wukong did not know that he had a son. It was just that he had conveniently forgotten about it for the last few years. So when the boy suddenly turned up at his kingdom, it surprised the Monkey King. NeitherChao Sun Nao nor Sun Wukong knew that these events had been orchestrated by Xi Wang Mu, the highest-ranked and most powerful female deity in the Chinese pantheon. She tempted the boy to take the peaches to unlock his latent connection with the divine, and she pushed him so he would be sent to Wukong to ensure the Monkey King took responsibility for his offspring.
Not wanting to look bador admit to forgetting about his child, Sun Wukong decided to train the boy and bestow him with a name. Wukong did not seem interested that the son already had a name, so he was renamed Sun Nao, most likely because it was the first name that came to the Monkey King's mind. That it essentially meant "offspring of a monkey" was... less important. A powerful kick quickly followed the naming, and the training began.
Sun Nao has no idea how long he spent at his father's domain at Flowers and Fruit Mountain, but it was several days, most likely longer. Each day was filled with gruelling training, whether he wanted to or not. What started as apprehension shifted to frustration when everything he tried to say or complain about was brushed aside. It took a few days of being pummeled around until he finally pushed back, and slowly, he started to build skills and unlock innate memories he did not know he had. He ate with Wukong in the evenings and slept wherever he wanted, as the nature of the mountain was built to be a haven for monkeys. And where Wukong treated him harshly, but not cruelly, the other monkeys treated Sun Nao with much more reverence, bringing him food and gifts like flowers. He also began to understand them and their way of communicating.
Finally, he was able to land a hit on his father. It was not powerful and did not cause any visible damage. But, it was a clear hit, and that seemed to have been the goal as the Monkey King stopped the training and told him his first lesson had been completed.
Which ended up being very unhelpful as the Monkey King unceremoniously dumped his son back into the ordinary world where just a few minutes had passed, not even enough for the family to notice he had been missing for weeks. Thankfully, his grandmother came upon him first and could help calm him down. She also revealed herself to already being aware of his heritage and a devoted follower of the goddess Xi Wang Mu.
From there, Ming asked her grandson what he wanted to do now. This new knowledge and power created no small amount of responsibilities and danger. After meditating over a cup of tea, he managed to calm down enough to think about his options. His first order of business was to test out his powers and see where to go from there. Ming also told him she would make for him a suit that would both work to protect and disguise him. Something she did after getting Sun Nao to fight and defeat a demonic tiger hiding away in a Botanical garden, almost causing a wildfire and breaking the windows of the whole block in the process.
Since that day, Sun Nao has started exploring himself and the world he has become a part of and also tries to survive the growing strain with his parents, thinking what college or university he should go to is far from his mind.

" And with that, son, your first lesson is completed!"
The cocky smile of Wukong was still playing in his memories when he sat up, and after a few confusing seconds, he found himself on the floor in his bedroom. This was his regular old bedroom back at home. He raised a hand to his head and let out a small groan.
"Of course, it was just a dream-" he muttered, slowly reaching his feet, as he looked at himself in the full-length mirror hanging on the wardrobe... he almost thought it was another person. "Wait- no- are those- abs?" He pulled his hit shirt for a better look.
It was.
Three things struck him: he had an awful pain in his lower back, the pants felt uncomfortably tight, and he was famished. His hand went to check what was hurting, and he froze when he felt the somewhat familiar sensation of a furry tail. "Oh no, no, no." He spun around on the spot before letting out a muffled cry of pain as the tail remained trapped inside the jeans, going down one of the legs. In desperation, he pulled and managed to get the whole tail out from inside the pants while ripping them up simultaneously.
"What are you doing, xiǎo bǎobèi?" His grandmother's voice came from outside the door, which caused him to freeze in place.
"I-It's nothing-" He tried to turn and grab the tail, but it swung around and knocked the lamp off the desk with a loud crash. "That was- nothing either. Everything is fine!"
"It doesn't sound fine, I'm coming in."
Crap!
He scrambled to find a place to hide, putting a blanket over himself while hiding between the bed and the wall, which did little to disguise him as much as it made it evident that he was there, albeit unseen. He heard the creaking of the door as his old grandmother came inside. She stopped, and after a few seconds, he heard her walk over to the bed, followed by the familiar grunt of her climbing onto it, accompanied by the creaking of old limbs. He did not know why, but as she pulled to remove the blanket, he could not resist it, and after blinking at the light for a few seconds, he was looking into the kind eyes of his grandmother.
"Nǎinai, I can explain, I just- and it-" He began but was stopped when she placed a gentle hand on his cheek. She did not seem upset or even surprised at what she saw. Her eyes were calm and serene, and he felt all worries wash away from her touch. There was also something else, like an air around her he had never seen before. He could only describe it as powerful...
"I say it was about time, but I was starting to wonder if it would ever happen." She said, "Seems we have a lot to talk about, xiǎo bǎobèi"

Powers/Abilities:
- The Monkey Prince: Since awakening, he has inherited his divine father's raw abilities more than anything else. As such, he possesses incredible superhuman strength, speed, agility and durability.
ChaoSun Nao can easily lift large automobiles and buildings and handle hundreds of thousands of tonnes, run far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete, and jump to several stories in a single bound. He can take a serious beating and shake off regular weapons like it was nothing (such as guns, swords, knives etc.). He can balance and climb without growing tired and even use his tail as a makeshift tool both in and outside combat. The tail is as powerful as his arms, so he can wield his staff using it when needed. He also inherited Sun Wukong's discerning eyes, which enabled him to spot those who try to hide themselves using illusions, magical disguises, and glamour.Less fun is the clumsy personality accompanying it, making him prone to accidentally breaking things such as doors, cups, utensils, anything made of glass, and books. However, he is cautious around people, so he has not broken a person yet. He usually has to pull his punches, as going all out would be fatal. Also, despite being incapable of drowning, he sinks and has difficulty moving when submerged in water. - Bio-Fission: Using strands of hair,
ChaoSun Nao can create clones of himself. He can use them as if they were him, making it possible for the young demigod to assist himself during a fight, be in several places at once, or make his baseball team (a total of 9 clones at any one time). They possess the same abilities he does, with the difference being that they lack much durability and will instantly vanish when damaged. Neither can they clone themselves. That would be weird.Funnily enough, he can never grow bald, as the hair on his head and tail always grows back shortly after being cut... making haircuts a hell. Sadly, his hair will never grow longer either, so he is stuck at the same length forever. You're welcome. - Divine Body:
ChaoSun Nao accidentally ate several fabled Peaches of Immortality and supposedly became immortal. He has not been keen to determine whether it is true. His action made him less human, forcefully "cleansing" his body of toxins and making him virtually immune to most poisons and sicknesses. He has inherited many of Wukong's natural abilities, awakened by the fruit. His lungs are strong enough to blow enemies away and breathe underwater, and he has started training in magic with Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Stephen Strange. Opening up more of his affinity with the magical. - Flight:
ChaoSun Nao can create clouds capable of supporting him during flight. This ranges from hovering to supersonic speed. - Martial arts: The Monkey King has never been known for half-measures, and the same goes for the training of his son. His father has brutally trained Sun Nao and has been plucked from his daily life whenever Wukong feels it is time for the next lesson. Sun Nao has learned several martial arts styles. Excluding fighting with a staff, he knows several Chinese styles and boxing. Thankfully, due to the nature of Flowers and Fruit Mountain, time passes differently, so even if several weeks have passed there, only a few minutes have passed in the mortal realm.
- Monkey Business:
ChaoSun Nao possesses an enhanced sense of smell, hearing and taste, and he also has the power to communicate with, and exert his will over, and manipulate any creature that would be seen as a monkey/ape. This comes from a combination of communication and a mystical aura that causes them to recognize him as "The Monkey Prince". He can often ask them to do smaller tasks or assist him, but not to the point of risking their own lives, but they are more likely to give aid when possible.(excluding super-intelligent ones... like Grodd, and lesser primates... like humans. Monkeys are some of the few creatures that can readily recognize his heritage, even outside his hero suit, for good and ill. This also functions for super-intelligent ones. )
Weapons/Items:
- Ruyi Jingu Bang (Lesser): A Lesser version of his father's legendary staff. Like the original, it can change shape, multiply itself, exorcise demons, shrink to the size of a toothpick or grow into a great pillar (Only not as immense as Wukong's). Like the original, it also has a will and can refuse to allow anyone it deems unworthy to wield it. Or have its idea of how to best transform during a fight, forcing
ChaoSun Nao to improvise on the spot. It might look like wood, but it is virtually indestructible and was made strong against magical and normal enemies like spirits and demons. - Grandma's Best: The outfit
ChaoSun Nao uses as a hero has been created and enchanted by his grandmother Ming. The magic upon it makes certain people unable to identify who he is, so even if they look at him next to a picture of his "civilian" Identity, few can recognize them as the same person. The only people who can see through this are those with exceptional magic. Grandma is not messing around when protecting he grandson. When not in use, the outfit is sealed inside a charm around his neck, and he can use that to instantly change into it when needed.
