"I warned you the first time! If you try again, I'm not holding back!"He cackled. First looking to Yoichi, "Bluffing," Seemed the youngest had some spunk, but she was all talk. She had already warned him once. How many more warnings was he allowed? Then came Serena who seemingly had more bite, but was randomly throwing darts at a board in hopes of provoking him. If she wanted to fight, she would've just hit him from the get go. He shook his head in disbelief. The next era of heroes was in a sorry state if this was what was going to graduate in a couple of years. It was beginning to make sense why villain society was becoming more bold. In this way, they were helping his goal. With what he could gather, these two confirmed his suspicion. They were not heroes at all, only students. Being so close to death, this old man had no redeeming qualities or ways to contribute to the world of the living. He was wasting air... Not only that but as a weak and fragile individual, he was the perfect individual to cull. To Serena he giggled, "Hmhmhmhm. Ah -a young villainess parading as a hero? PERFECT BALANCE." He declared when she mentioned helping villains out in her past. He knew she had nothing to do with his family's death, or else she would've been dead already. Chishiki had drawn up a very clear-cut list for him, and they were running down on the last few bodies. For whatever reason, such a promising candidate for his paradise plan seemingly had a death wish disguised as duty. Pfff... "heroes." If she were trying to provoke him, then he'd show her how it was done as she began her assault. So she was a brawler? "Oh...? FREEZING." The air around him became thin, and almost bone-chilling as snowflakes erupted from his person. He skipped back a step on the first stri- mmm. Okay, so she wasn't a complete novice. "Doing the bidding of villains of a villain or group is rather oddly specific. An errand girl?" He inquired as he tracked her slide. He framed his body as if he were going to dodge. Instead, he was uncomfortably close, closing the distance in a single slide step. This angle would allow her a punch a better angle toward his kidneys. That was what she was aiming for right? Her fist would plow right through him with little resistance, his face twisting in pain. "Augh!" As a result of this successful strike, anything that had come into contact with him would freeze completely solid. Her arm would become an agonizing pale blue as a result. "Kiddinggggg~" Instead of aiming to freeze her over entirely, he was going to back off and try to stir the pot a bit more. Seeing them scramble, reminded him of the old days. It reminded him of when he was training his daughter. Kawaiiiii. His opponents being young girls were bringing him into such a serene place... Taking a few steps back, he removed her arm from his torso. The crackling of ice could be heard, as the hole in his chest slowly began to close. He'd deactivate his FREEZING, and rest his staff on his shoulder. "A well-placed strike, Kahi-chan." Servant Girl. Giving away such a detail would only become ammo for him. He would give some advice in the same way he'd advise his daughter back then. His antagonizing would only go further- "Timing is important, Kahi-chan. Ganbare, Kahi-chaaaan. FIGHTO FIGHTO" He spoke to her like he was rooting for a young kid to do well. This wasn't a soft ball game, it was BATTLE.
With the self-contained blizzard dying down, he looks at Yoichi. I'm. Warning. You. He mouthed the words right back to her, a teehee leaving his lungs as he did so. Standing around would do nothing for her. Would she engage, or heed Serena's word to save the elder first? Fi-gh-to. He mouthed, giving a thumbs up. He was a great father. Oh, he was a great father. "Aaaaah, who's next to try a technique on dear old dad? " His delirium had him somewhere else while posing to be a dastardly threat to the young heroes. Fun with his daughter. MAN, those really were the days. He was beaming with joy until he blinked, no... these weren't his kids. His mind was playing tricks on him. Now that was a sick joke... "HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Nymph suddenly found herself under attack by a mantis person, one of the heros more than likely that arrived on the scene. as far as they knew though, she could have just been one of the civilians, she wasn't doing anything! not at this moment anyway, and she was going to play up the fact that she was being attacked out of nowhere
"Aiyee, what's going on! villain! a villian is attacking me! someone help"
nymph screamed out, as she was assaulted, running and hiding instead of holding her ground and revealing who she truly was. she was powerless now, but soon that wouldn't be the case. soon, very soon she would be going on all these young heros full force and hopefully, catch this one off guard

Yoichi ducked as the ice wall was shattered by the other students, covering her face as ice rained down like hail. She looked up, grimacing as the girl's fist seemed to pass through the villain. Instead of blood, icey slush burst out the other side. Was he made of ice as well? This guy was insane! Powerful long-range attacks, and a close-quarter technique as deadly as that? This was the true face of villainy. Yoichi held her ground as his eyes whipped around, latching onto her.
He was goading her on. Pushing her to her limits. She knew that technique well.
"Get up, you stupid girl!"
Yoichi blinked. She was on the floor, body bruised and aching. Slowly she rose to her hands and knees, raising her head to look up at her mother. She stood, arms folded, an expression of disgust on her face. Like she had just discovered a rat in her immaculate kitchen (not that she ever used it herself - the maids did all the cooking).
"That's all you can give? Brainless welp. Useless creature! There are children out there fighting gods and monsters, and you collapse only after three hours? Get up and fight!"
Yoichi rose to her feet, swaying slightly. She was so tired. Hungry. Her mouth was dry, her brain foggy. The man before her watched, a muscular trainer that had been hired by her mother to train her. He hadn't pulled any punches. Yoichi wiped blood from her mouth. He grinned at her, malice and menace rolled into one terrifying expression.
"Fight!!"
Yoichi blinked. A second perhaps had passed, but the memory lingered. That's right. She had pushed herself and pushed herself, goaded on by her mother and the mentors she brought in. What good had that done? Fighting for good, until you collapsed, was one thing. Fighting because someone else wanted you to? She wiped blood from her forehead with her jacket sleeve. Now she was realising how evil that kind of situation was.
So she made a plan. The lunatic before her would kill both Yoichi and the civilian if they tried to escape. That was clear, no matter how hard Serena was trying to goad him. If she stood and fought, Yoichi would be at risk of taking another hit, and if he aimed for the civilian then she would protect him again. There was no easy way out, but there were options.
Yoichi stared right back at the villain, her classic withering look, all scorn and scathing. She was terrified, her heart hammering like a small rodent under a predator's claws, but she was determined, ready, and not willing to lose.
Yoichi's arm shot up, the bow strung in a blink of an eye with an arrow. She fired, aiming for the villain's chest with one of her basics, but she kept moving. She plucked a thick handful of hairs, banking on the villain moving to dodge, wasting a valuable moment. In a practiced way, Yoichi twisted the strands together, nocked the arrow and loosed it. Not at the villain, but at the ice wall above them. She then turned, grabbing the old man and moving through the hole that Serena had made for them.
The arrow was spinning like a drill when it struck the ice. Koito had given her a good idea, and now it was burrowing fast inwards, cracking the corner portion of the wall and bringing the whole thing down after her. If the villain aimed for them, he would be hard pressed to reach them before the ice hit the ground and walled them off. Yoichi hoped, at least. She wasn't going go to be ordered to fight anyone anymore!

Villain?! Her? The declaration made Mei rattle and shake her head in disagreement. They were acting suspicious! There was no room for doubt! Mei acted and her instincts led her right here. But why did it feel so jarring? She wasn't a villain at all. She was doing what came natural. Oh. She hunched over. Was being a villain as natural as this? Her hesitation would allow the seemingly "innocent" civilian a chance to escape from her grip undamaged.
She blinked and got short of breath. The words might have been simple but they had shaken her. Mei stared at her hands. her limbs. The reflection in the glass from a nearby window. Her eyes grew wide and her antennae straightened out. Did her actions betray her? Doubt crept in full force as the thought of her making a mistake became quite real. There was no way she could be wrong, could she? That person was acting strange. If they were innocent, they wouldn't have run...right?
Haha, look at yourself. Of course they'd run. You don't look like a hero at all. Tears formed in her eyes. Her hands covered her face so she didn't have to look at it. At herself. At what she did. At what could have happened if she were wrong. Who out there even WANTED her to be around here? She'd simply responded to Serena's words and acted. That was it. She was just a convenient means of dealing with the situation...and she read it wrong. She wanted the world to know just because you couldn't speak, actions were much louder. But just what action did she act on show to the world? She was quick to make mistakes? That she was bad? Maybe she was.
No she wasn't. She wasn't. She had nearly broken down as she fell to one knee. Her hands wiped away the tears and she shook like a leaf. She wasn't a villain. She'd prove it. That's right!
She got up and gave chase, expressly concerned for the one she had seemingly scared off and wanting to make amends.
"Danger...stay...I'll protect...please." she called out desperately in a strained speech borne out of her own self-doubt and fervent desire to show she wasn't bad. She wasn't. She was going to help them. if she was wrong, she wanted to make up it up to them. She wasn't supposed to make people feel scared. They had to rely on her. She had to look the part...even though most would simply see her as some tall bug with spindly limbs. An affront.

Serena's eye twitched in annoyance at the villain's response to her attempt at goading him. What the hell was wrong with this guy? He wasn't a religious zealot after all? No he mentioned balance, so her claims made her someone to preserve? God damn these villains, why couldn't they be more like the ones she dealt with in Hosu? Those thugs were easy to provoke into mistakes, these days everyone seemed utterly immune to taunting. She put a lot of work into her taunting skills damnit! Just once she'd appreciate if these evil bastards would fall for it... or if she could fight a villain she could just beat up normally instead of constantly facing bad matchups. Her luck really hadn't been great with this stuff... but there was no time to dwell on that as she began her assault
Serena knew something was off the moment he moved to provide her a better angle to strike his kidneys. This man was insane, but clearly not incompetent, if he tracked her physics defying slide through the air without a hint of surprise, and chose to react to better enable her strike, then he had a plan. Unfortunately she couldn't entirely abort her strike at this point, still on instinct she reduced the amount of kinetic energy she was putting into the strike... not that it seemed to matter, as her fist punched straight through his slushy and icy body with little resistance. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she pulled back immediately, ripping her arm free as she launched herself back to gain distance... even with her quick reaction though..
She glanced to her arm, it was blue and mostly numb, exposing it any longer and she might've suffered serious damage to it, hell even as it was for most people without a battery of kinetic energy inside them this amount of freezing would render the arm useless. She was glad her instinct to run away from danger and exercise caution were still strong... if she'd overcommitted here she might've lost the arm entirely. With a grimace she used some of her reserves she'd saved from trying to pull her punch to warm the arm again, color returning to it... as well as thawing it to the point where the pain kicked back in. Fuck that hurt... but the arm could move again...
She clenched and unclenched the fist a few times to confirm, then stopped thawing. She didn't need it to be warm, just functional and not at risk of permanent damage. Heating it more would just waste energy she couldn't afford. That attack and the consequences of it had cost her too much as it was.
While she recovered, the villain taunted her more, laughing maniacally as events unfolded around them. Yoichi's development was good though, she fired an arrow at the man, then another to collapse some ice to cover her and the civilian's retreat, perfect, that was one less problem to worry about if she got away.
More concerningly was the situation over by Mei, chasing some girl calling her villain. Ah fuck Mei's self confidence was low enough as is! But Serena couldn't spare much time to help. Not with the ice guy as her opponent. All she could spare was a single shout "Don't listen to her Mei! I know you can do this!"
Utterly inadequate, Serena would've loved to give her classmate a full pep-talk, but there just wasn't that kind of time. She had to hope that was enough to get Mei out of her head and back on task. because if the girl she was chasing was the vine villain, and that villain joined the fight, there was no way Serena could handle both threats at once.
Focusing, back on the monk... how was she going to deal with this? Goading him to attack her had failed, and he was immune to her strikes... no, not immune. Before her feint was revealed he'd been backing away, if he were immune he wouldn't have bothered. He had a weakness... she ran through her options, she didn't have enough info to know, but of all the potential weaknesses he could have there was only one option she could act on. If it was something else, she was screwed either way... her only hope was that he had an endurance limit. Overusing his quirk would have consequences... In that case...
As Yoichi retreated, Serena positioned herself between the Monk and them, taking a defensive stance, if he attacked them again, she'd use her energy reserves to intercept and block it, or parry with a strike of her own. If he wanted his 40th kill, she'd make him work for it, and hopefully he'd hit his limit before her kinetic reserves ran out. If she ran out first... there would be only one gambit left for her to try.
"do your worst. I won't let any of your attacks through!" she stated, hoping she could prompt him into using bigger attacks that would drain him faster. She had to go all in on this, either hoping he hit his limit, or that she could hold out until pro heroes with a better matchup arrived, either way, she couldn't let a single attack past her.

With a soft smirk, he watched Yoicho punch a hole through the wall. "Ehhh?" She didn't want to fight anymore. No. No. She wanted to protect the prey... She, herself was prey as well, perhaps she needed a reminder. He would ponder whether to track her. The numbers weren't really on his side here. Well, there was a local little troublemaker. She wasn't attacking him, so that made her an offshoot ally. The plant user seemed to be antagonizing the Mantis quirked girl. There were more students here than he expected. Serena seemed worried about calming her down. He'd stay still, though it wasn't too wise to take one's attention off their opponent.
He'd take a moment to analyze what'd he seen thus far. As far as he could ascertain, she was a power type. Some sort of strength... No that wasn't it. He chuckled as she now chose to defend this time. So it wasn't JUST strength, there was a trick to it. Most quirks did have some sort of trick. He wouldn't put much effort in figuring that out. All he needed to know was if this strength was readily available or not. The rings hanging from his staff's ornament jostled and rang as he bounced it off of his shoulder. "Hahaha aaaah... you're so indecisive! No plan will work if you abandon it too early, Kahi-chan. " The jostling stopped as he inhaled deeply, taking a few steps back to broaden his range.
"Polar Gust..." With a simple blow of his breath, a snowy cloud roared forward. As the snow hit the ground, it quickly flash froze with the rest of the icy water vapor and created ice pillars in its wake. She could defend if she wanted to. The super move would snare her in a pillar of ice if she weren't careful. With a giddy expression, he snickered. It seemed like the temperatures were dropping again, and... was it always this foggy? The monk slowly emitted a fog from his person. He'd mask his presence and allow it to spread for a 20 meter radius. With how cold it was, it seemed to agitate the blizzard again. A cold breeze kicked up as visibility slowly became less and less. The cold air happily danced around the despair the villain aimed to achieve.

Nymph yelled and screamed as she tried to run away but eventually, the words reached her ears and she turned around, bright eyed as she made a revelation.
She went from running away from the girl to running into her arms, hugging her tightly.
"oh! A hero please, please help me!"
She exclaimed before an insidious smile appeared on her lips
Color=#355E3B]"I'm scared, I don't know what to do"[/color] she would complain but shortly afterwards, she would laugh manically before transforming once more into her smaller version, delivering an unexpected punch to the mantis's gut
