Amidst the sweep of cold air whirling around him, Hazeshini laughed. Despite the summer sun's bold choice to shine through today, the clouds gathered together as a united front. They'd darken a bit as heavy chilled water vapor collected from within. A rainbow shone upon the city as temperatures dropped. Cars crashed as roads grew slippery and caked with ice. On top of a skyscraper stood the laughing monk, cackling at the ants beneath him. He'd teach them about Paradise. It was simple really. After destruction comes life anew. All he had to do was cull the weak until only the strong survived. "Namusan." He'd pray with a bloodthirsty grin as an atonement for the lives to be lost soon. Beneath him a busy street, and beneath that, a sewage complex.
He'd drop from the building, piercing through the wind as he hurdle down. His fist enlarged, growing into an icy meteor of an appendage. Colliding with the asphalt, his avalanche fist not only killed anyone in the near viscinity but cause an eruption of water to shoot up. Crismon mist glittered as blood splatter froze in midair. In the middle of the carnage, and the apparent crater, the laughing monk stood up. An expression of ecstasy reached him as screams could be heard. People scattered, while stragglers were knocked down and frozen solid. "33, 34, 35." He'd count his kills as if this were a game. He'd roll his hood over his head, and peruse through the bodies. While mindless killing was fun, only one was the true target. A remnant of the organization. When Chishiki said to leave no remnant of the old organization behind she meant it. Hazeshini had been collecting dog tags for the last few weeks, but he wanted to make a big splash since this was the last one. Any kill after this guy was icing on the cake. "Bingo." And there he was, a red-soaked bald man with scars across his head. "It's your own fault for being so weak. You wouldn't survive in the paradise I dream of." He'd kick the corpse, the motion intensifying into harsh stomps until all that was left was a red slush beneath his foot. He'd whirl his staff overhead, before slamming the pole end down, allowing the rings of the charm to jostle and jingle. He'd pray for an omen of good luck despite driving this dystopian scene of dismay and dreary decadence. He'd travel the streets, offering salvation to those who couldn't run anymore. One woman in particular was running toward the carnage. The monk would address her appropriately.
"Please. I've gotta get to my daughter!"
"A daughter is a blessing one shouldn't live without. I'll make sure you two are together forever. " He said stooping down to her level with kind eyes. He'd hold her hand, and smile to her. In a few moments, the woman was frozen over dead, just like her daughter who was a frozen statue near the impact zone. He'd chuckle as he followed a path, leaving nothing but bodies. A disaster indeed. Hero phone-boards blared... Who'd come to face this living Disaster?

It was a beautiful day! A great day to go out and do some shopping and explore! The sun was shining, beaming down beautifully on everyone it touched. She wasnt expecting on chaos today, and was caught off guard when a sudden chill lingered through the air. She didn't do well with the cold, hated it. The cold was frustrating, where was it coming from? Why was it cold all of a sudden? She had to get away! What a bummer end to such a beautiful day!
Of course, as the chaos ensued, her soured mood couldn't persist. She loved it when people were confused, scared and running about! She had to get a piece of this action! She knew she had to keep her distance from the cold but with so many people running away from the chaos, she had a whole plethora of victims for herself!
Quickly, she weaved her way through the panicked crowd and transformed and as she did so, a wall of vines started to grow preventing escape from the many who were attempting to do while many more got trapped in the brambles and bushes. There was no escape! It was either run towards the massive entrapping plants or remain in the frozen wasteland that was being made by another. It was a delicious predicament to force people in! Of course she had made sure she remained on the warm side of her plants but heros now had seemingly had an even weirder situation to deal with now

Go shopping, they said. It'd be fun, they said. On personal recommendation from her... friends? Could she call them friends? Yoichi smiled slightly at the thought. On their recommendation they had said there was a shoo she should visit in Koto City. With Gigabite's Blessing, Yoichi had made yet another solo trip into the unknown... except this time, what met her was destruction and death thet set her heart cold.
She had been down the street from the impact zone. Ice and cold air blasted past her, and she dove for cover. Heart racing fast, she felt a surge of adrenaline. A Villain? She heard screams, the noise of chaos. Yoichi took a deep breath. She couldn't act as a hero yet, not without a license, but...
Yoichi saw people running, screaming in fear. An elderly man fell, feet slipping on a layer of ice. She acted almost on impulse, leaving her shopping (a few boxes weapped up neatly inside a bag), leaping from her hiding place to pull the old man to his feet. Yoichi looked behind her, seeing the villain for the first time. A monk...? It didn't matter. She wasn't dressed like a hero, in a dark red jacket and a knee-length dress. To any eyes, Yoichi was just a helpful citizen, risking her neck to save another.
"Come on... please..."
Was she talking to the man? Or perhaps a prayer to whichever Hero was close to them? Yoichi focused her attention in front, and on the life in her arms. Whatever stalked behind her... it was worse than anything she'd crossed so far. And as the vines sprung up before them, blocking their path... Yoichi clenched her jaw, coming to a halt. They were trapped! It'd be fun, they said!

She decided it would be nice to gather stuff for the 2nd year dorm. Mei didn't speak much and just acted. That's what she always did. No words needed. Would someone notice? Maybe. Someone will certainly realize there's no food left to eat. Or even worse, no TP. She shuddered at the idea as she picked up the supplies one by one, transporting them in a wagon she trollied right behind her. It was only when it gave off a metallic creak preceded by a loud crash and a chill in the air.
Cold never really was her strong suit. In fact, she did not like the cold at all. If she'd known it was going to be this cold, she would have dressed a bit more warmly. But that was neither here nor there. Her senses became alert and her antennae clicked responsively to the disaster ensuing. Someone was here. Someone just like them. Not like them as in a mirror image. But villains. She had encountered two before but she could barely hold her own against them. Moreover, they were physical types. If the vines and the chill were any indication, these were totally different. She witnessed a younger girl go to the aid of an elderly man.Meisei would follow suit as she rollicked into the scene, leaving her wagon behind to swoop in as she took flight and rescued two fleeing individuals, setting them down outside the encroaching chaos. A little close to the vines, as a matter of fact. If she flew too high, whoever saw her could easily bring her down, she figured. If she stayed low to the ground, she wouldn't cause any suspicions other than herself saving others.
She was a second year. She could only do so much. If no one else was around, she'd have to take seniority here and do her best to be a protector. If no one else, it'd have to be her whether she wanted to or not. She stood tall andpsyched herself up with a look of determination on her face.

Serena had been on a pretty standard patrol, here for work instead of leisure as was usual. She hadn't had a day to herself all year between the work, classes, recording her songs, and training... and today had been no exception. Well it was a minor exception, she had been multitasking by getting her patrol assignment near here so she could also get some of her shopping done on her breaks, that counted as self care right?
Of course as seemed to be the norm, her attempts to take care of herself only resulted in more problems, as she wandered right into where a villain attack was about to ensue, and not just any villain, an ice villain. Of all the possible matchups she had to inadvertently blunder into without backup, it had to be ICE.
Thankfully, it seemed she had some backup after all as she spotted Mei on the scene, wasn't she averse to cold as well? Hard to say, they weren't super close. Serena had always been interested in being friendly with the mantis girl, but the girl was shy and Serena was no socializing expert herself, so they hadn't interacted much last year. Something to work on, for now though she was happy to see a familiar-ish face on her side. Mei was swooping in to rescue two civilians, but the villain was still present to see them and intercept
Drawing her bow, Serena fired off a smoke bomb arrow in the villain's vicinity to obscure his sight, giving Mei the window to get the civilians away safely... she wanted to just jump in and pummel the villain to create the opening but she knew already that the less she relied on her quirk here the better. She was charging it up quickly, drawing in what heat remained in the area as well as just generally keeping herself at a decent charge level while on the job, but every bit she expended was going to be hard to recoup against an ice user. There was the vine creator to deal with as well, wherever they were... Serena didn't even have a good option for that... if she had a knife she could handle it but students weren't allowed those as part of their gear loadouts... hell even her bow was pushing it.
"Get em clear Mei! You'll have better luck with the vines than me! I'll keep frosty the madman busy!" Serena called down to her classmate
Drawing a new arrow from the quiver she took aim at the cloud of smoke where the villain had been, while running down the hall to a new vantage point, once he emerged she'd be able to fire again with a piercing arrow aimed for his legs to try and immobilize him before he could get a read on her new location. So long as she used her arrows smartly she could do this... she just needed to not get pinned down by his ice attacks and keep his focus on chasing her instead of targeting civilians. With any luck Mei could tear through those vines and get the people out, and clear the path for Bear Den backup to get IN. The less time she spent going one on one with her worst case scenario matchup the better.

The villain eyed his surroundings as if surprised. It wasn't that he was shocked at his own power or anything. He'd noticed vines... a villain was helping him? A curious sight. In the simplest matter, if she got too much in his way, he'd soon kill her too. Life was a fickle thing, more so when placed in the palm of his hands. The man seemed dazed, or well, distracted. There weren't many heroes showing up. That simple fact was putting him on high alert. Actually... Children. Children were here. He'd chuckle, but this would only flourish into a cackle. These young girls reminded him of his daughter, in which case, only made his bloodlust increase. The smoke screen arrow would land at his feet, but without much worry he'd proceed to walk out of the cloud and toward Yoichi, who seemed stuck between a vine and a icy place.
His pace wasn't fast at all. It was slow enough to take in any details. In fact, as the incoming arrow came, he not only adjusted to dodge but made direct eye contact with the shooter. He made no effort in attacking back, only slaying those in front of him who were too slow to flee as Nymph put her vines up. Snow crunched under his feet, his very existence adding to the frigid temperature it seemed. He'd stopped and eyed Yoichi keeping a considerable amount of distance. "Are you okay?" It sounded like true concern, but it heavily contrasted with the smile raked across his face. A stifled giggle, "Not a fan of red snow?" The death toll was impressive for it to only have been a few moments. And it was he who started it, staring Yoichi in the face. The angle at which he stood was open as if daring Serena to take another shot. He kept his hands hidden in his sleeves, his staff resting on his shoulder. "Would you like me to say a prayer for her?" Now staring in Serena's direction, mouthing a question slow enough for the young hero to read his lips.

The slow moving man caught her attention for the moment, it was inspired! He had no fear! Made no attempts to avoid being attacked. He taunted them in ways she could only imagine!
But it was for just a moment. She other wise continued her onslaught of vines, replenishing them as they were slashed and then, some of the vines would threaten to squeeze her to death. The archer lady made the mistake of saying what she saidd out loud, now she knew who to go after
"stop my vines? I think not!"
Where her voice was coming from could be pinpointed but where she was not yet discernable through the chaos of what was going on

The vines were an obstacle that Yoichi would have been able to scramble over easy enough, but the civilian wasn't going to allow that. She gritted her teeth, feeling the slow ebb of panic rising in her breast. She felt sweat prickling her skin her breathing speeding up as adrenaline pumped through her body. What had Kachiya said about facing a real villain? Yoichi gave a fearful, wild grin to herself. Yeah, she had underestimated this!
The crunch of ice and snow behind her made her whirl around, standing between the villain and the civilian. Another archer, unseen to Yoichi, was taking shots at the man's feet, but he seemed totally unphased. Yoichi took a deep breath, raising her arm slightly and activating her quirk. Her hand transformed into a bow, and she plucked a handful of hair-rows from her head.
"Stay back."
The words were calm, stalward, entirely opposite from Yoichi's pounding heart and growing anxiety. Her eyes lowered as she loosely knocked an arrow. This villain would have to fight her if he wanted more victims. Even if she died here, Yoichi realised that she wouldn't back down, not with the elderly man at risk. Her heart skipped a beat. She would not back down!
"Stay back! That's a warning!"

In her downtime, Mei often trimmed her plants to ensure their growth and health. But the vitality of these vines were a bit toomuch as they grew back much too fast for herliking. The more she used her limbs to hack away at them, they'd spring right back. Everyone was trapped and they were counting on her to deal with them. She couldn't afford to let them win. Not again. When the vines threatened to ensnare her, she'd hack those as well then backed off to keep herself between the civilians and the dangers itself.
She didn't speak a word, only using her actions to show just how dedicated she was to defending those who were in danger. She never got far in her first year. In fact, she distanced herself too much and didn't even give anyone a chance to know who she was or what she was about. The biggest event that occurred was still fresh in her mind...and when the voices of the ones responsible for the cold and vines could be heard, all she could think of was how callously people like them could say such things. Yoichi, an underclassman was ready and she even warned them!
Bravery in the face of a terrifying foe. If Jack were here, what would he do? Stand fast. And dive right into the action. But that was his specialty. What was Mei's?
She firmly planted her feet into the ground then brought her scythe-like limbs forward, clicking them together. She then spread her humanoid palms wide in a defensive stance. Her eyes became intensely focused and her antennae straightened out. Then the mantis limbs raised up, still folded in, then opened and snapped together before her, making the sound of two crystals crashing into each other. She did this twice, loudly as if in intimidation...or challenging the danger. She raised her head up with gusto and shook her head slowly, showing that nothing was going to get past her. No words needed.

Serena knew immediately this situation was even worse than she feared. The maniac didn't just dodge that attack in the brief instant he could see it after emerging from the cloud, he made it look easy. If his reflexes were fast enough to casually dodge that, she wasn't likely to get one over on him without using her quirk... and that quirk wasn't going to last long against an ice user.
More importantly though, there were two civilians in harms way one of whom had morphed their hand into a bow and their hair into arrows? Were they a student in street clothes maybe? Or maybe just a desperate civilian willing to take the punishment for unlicensed quirk use. Either way the priority was getting them out of line of sight... and if the bow girl was looking to help... Right, bending or breaking the rules to ensure survival was street urchin 101, Serena could work with this. This did mean she was going to have to get in close now though. She was kind of hoping she could fight this one at range where there was still more sources of heat to draw on... and she couldn't get encased in ice and waste energy breaking out a bunch. No helping it though, civilian lives came first
Serena leapt high up into the air and over the ice and vine wall, body partially blocking out the sun and casting a shadow over the battlefield so even if the monk looked up at her to see her attacks, he'd be blinded by the light at her back as she fired several more piercing arrows downwards at him, aiming for limbs and tendons to try and cripple him. Four shots, then she put the bow to her back as she fell in between the villain and the civilians.
CRASH
The ground cracked and shattered from the impact of Serena landing on one fist and two knees, classic superhero landing style. Of course by now everyone knew the physics of how bad that kind of landing was on your body, but that was kind of the point for Serena. This super inefficient landing strategy meant a bunch of excess kinetic energy she could suck up with her quirk, bringing her to close to a full charge to start the melee fight with. Her body was heated from the barely contained energy in the cold air, making steam rise from her dramatically as she stood up. Then reached into her quiver and tossed a few dozen of her blunt arrows back to Yoichi. They were heavy weighted arrows meant mostly for knocking targets out without risk of piercing an organ or anything, but they also would double as a nice way for Yoichi to charge up Serena's quirk if fired by someone else.
"Use those if you need to shoot, if you use those hair arrows the authorities will crack down on you, but if you use my arrows you have deniability" Serena said "those arrows will also help me if you shoot me with them by accident or on purpose, quirk stuff. Focus on keeping that man safe though."
Turning her head to face the villain, Serena put on her best confident hero smile "Now I can entertain you properly, that is your deal right? Usually villains going on random rampages like this are battle nuts or something. I'll be much more satisfying than an old man and a teenage civilian" Serena said, trying to ensure the monk's attention was firmly back on her as she tried to pull in whatever heat was still in the air down here, every single drop of kinetic energy she could scavenge was going to be crucial... unless she started relying on electricity...
"There is the shock arrows... I could absorb them but... I haven't pushed my capacity for electic energy yet... that much energy would... well it's a backup plan at best." Serena thought to herself as she eyed the villain trying to predict what he'd do. Her best bet was to bait him into an attack she could dodge, then try to counter so hard she could end it before her reserves ran dry. None of her electricity training was developed enough to risk it here

Something or rather someone caused the villain to pause. He'd been eyeing the location of where the arrows were fired from, and from that same area, a hero sprang into action. Or... perhaps a student, most pros would have intercepted him earlier. They had gotten over him, the glint of the sun masking their movements. Seeing as it was an archer, he could take a wild guess as to what was to come next. Ice rapidly formed, the crackling sound of it shifting was present as he chuckled. With a fist raise, it would enlarge into an icy fixture over his head intercepting the arrows. He'd haphazardly chuck the enlarged fist down the road toward his initial landing spot. There were no living bodies over there anyway. What was the count again? Somewhere in the 30s, he held a giggle in as he removed an arrow that was still sitting in his wrist. There was a bit of blood, but his whole hand came off. It would just turn into a snowy clump as it hit the ground. Serena's talking do him forced a chuckle out. She took him for a commoner villain. He came for a reason, so he'd tell her. " Entertain? hmhmhmhmhmm~ I guess the death toll would make this a rampage to heroes. The man I came to see, I've killed already. " A chuckle escaped once more as he spread his arms out, his missing hand formulating in an icy blue hue before returning to the color of his skin. One hand would slowly reach for his staff that he tucked in his robes behind his back. As he grasped it and pulled it out, it too would become frosted. The rings on the staff's ornament still jingled, icy flakes peeling off in the subtle breeze. ______________________________ OOC: Present Mic Voice: Quirk Name: Tip of the Iceberg Quirk Type: Transformer Power: The quirk gives them the ability to create and manipulate ice directly from their person. It can range from small to large quantities, depending on the desired utilization. At it's peak(lowest temperatures or extremely moist areas) the user may also turn themselves into ice and snow along with their usual abilities. This quirk allows for constructs and lots of icy improvisation. ______________________________ "Justice has been served... as it will be served for any other surviving member of the agency. Anyone with a sliver of alliance to the people who killed my wife and daughter must die. Full House will make sure of it." There wasn't enough to draw from in his words. He was acting as if they knew most of his backstory already. More importantly, he- "As for the other casualties... They've been sent to their ancestors. They'll never know enlightenment... they'll only be reborn again and again until they do. Those who cannot be a part of my Paradise Plan must be culled, upon their new life they'll be given a new chance to get things right. " He'd bring the staff in front of him, and allow the other icy hand to rest in front of his nose... -praying. He was sharing the word with them. "Here I'll put in layman's terms for you... To reach peace, many people need to come to a perfect balance, enlightenment one might say. As a balanced being, I am simply a vessel for peace and a messenger of death. I'm but a summer breeze flowing through this city joyous and full of life.. -delivering crimson snow, and chilling rot. See? Balance! Let us pray for all the lives lost today. " He gave a sincere smile at the end and closed his eyes for a moment of silence. A nut case? He was sane enough to keep up with what was going on around him at least. At the same time he seemed like he was operating on a completely different wavelength. Like he wasn't looking at them, but through them. Maybe it was this enlightenment mumbo jumbo he was speaking of. He probably was sane at one point, but something or someone along the line made him crack. Despite clearly being human, he was a fractured ghost of who he used to be, and as he saw himself... he was simply blowing through their city like the wind. A summer breeze, as he put it. He was like a natural disaster exhaling some odd gospel like a sick joke. What the fuck was so funny about any of this? All of it was funny to him. He was a Laughing Monk.
A strange level of calm followed his words. He very literally gave these people he JUST murdered a prayer. "May their rebirths be an enlightening journey. -Namusan." There wasn't any killing intent present as he assessed everyone in front of him. He actually held no ill will toward Serena and Yoichi, just the weak old man between them. He needed to be culled as well. It would bring his count to 40. A decent number to stop at for today. "39 is such an ugly number, please let me cull him as well. I'll be taking my leave once that is done. Rending Ice: Killer Frost..." It sounded like he was asking permission, but he wasn't. The movement was ridiculously sharp and swift and without any unnecessary movement. The way his body moved almost looked like art. Killing was an art... Hazeshini chuckled at the thought. He whirled the staff overhead once, and whirled it once to his side in the same forward step. On the side spin, the ornament nicked the ground before the staff sat at rest on his hip. From that simple tiny nick, the ground ruptured as spiky icebergs erupted forward and accurately carved a running path around Serena and toward the old man.

the plants grew rapidly... until they didn't. there was a point in time where there was a shift between being unable to cut the shrubbery fast enough and being able to make a sizable dent in the wall of growing vines. nymph herself was mesmerised by the show happening. the monk that she was... kinda working with was entirely fascinating. 39 people? he killed that many? she didn't know how much she had contributed to it, she was just having too much fun! she was interested in him enough that she had almost forgotten what it was she was doing
eventually, the green vines and plants would all die away as the borrowed power from the small being was coming to an end, which also meant that everything she was creating would also wither away into nothing. it would give the civilians all the space they needed to run away, and it also revealed her exact location as she would have been the only one standing there as the monk made his speech, not running away in fear but also not attempting to stop him. it would be just enough to give Mei an opening to attack her with her having just enough time to regain her bearings to properly defend from an attack where it to happen

The appearance of Serena should have filled Yoichi with relief, but the fact was that the mere presence of the villain had sent her into a fugue state. She saw the arrows clatter at her feet, saw someone she recognized from the class above stepping between her and the Laughing Monk. He was speaking in a way that felt so outside of reality that it shook her to her core. Talking about murdering thirty-nine people as if he was counting birds in his garden. Something so violent and wicked, spoken with such ease, even pride. Yoichi swallowed her fear. This was no time to be getting overwhelmed. This was how villains acted, and she had more important things to focus on. Serena had given her a chance to- In that moment of hesitation, the Laughing Monk made his move. Ice spikes thrust themselves from the ground, a path that went around Serena and headed straight for Yoichi and the old man. She didn't have time to react, no time to grab the arrows or even spare a thought for what she was doing. Yoichi's body moved on its own, reacting to pure gut instinct, grabbing the civilian and throwing both of them out of the way of the attack. Her body had twisted in between the ice and the target, but she didn't feel the sharp shards slice through her leg as she dove sideways. Yoichi had been training her whole life to perfect her reaction speed. What she didn't own in strength, or in a powerful Quirk, she had in her own personal fitness, her body's skill and her mind's decisiveness. Without even considering the consequences, Yoichi had put herself in danger to save another's life. Had used every mote of training drilled into her for a decade, every miserable second that had brought her to this point. Everything to protect a civilian, and rip the chance for a villain to cause any more misery. This was Yoichi, the Hero.
She landed, her twisting motion cushioning the old man's fall. Grunting, she pushed him to one side, rising to her feet. Blood ran down her right leg, a gash above her knee where the ice had caught her, but the civilian was unharmed. Yoichi panted, re-transforming her hand into a bow as her eyes darted around for an exit. The ice had trapped both of them, and it seemed like Serena was the one who could escape with ease. She had to figure out another way to get this civilian out of harm's way. A rope would be handy at this stage; she could shoot it using her arrows to provide some kind of escape, but... as of now, she just had to stand her ground. Yoichi pulled free an arrow from her hair. She had to risk the repercussions. If they penalized her for protecting this civilian... well, she would have to deal with it when it came. "I warned you the first time! If you try again, I'm not holding back!"

While Mei used her extra limbs to keep the vegetation at bay and the civilians safe to the best of her ability, she had overheard the talking this other villain was doing. And it downright made her feel frustrated, sick, and overall more determined than ever to keep that number from rising. Once she saw that the plants were withering, she gave them one extra firm swipe with her forelimbs and urged the civilians to run and get away. Now she could help support Serena even better by finding the one responsible for the vines in the first place.
She needn't look far to see a lone small figure not moving and seemingly mesmerized by the speech the monk was giving. They had to be the culprit! If nothing else, she could keep this one from doing anymore damage or aiding the monk if that was their plan. Mei used her inconspicuous nature to close the gap quickly then seize the little menace with her raptorial forelimbs by their shoulders then used their hardened hands to deliver a concussive chop to the base of their neck in hopes of incapacitating them to some degree. It was the least she could do and hoped it would be enough to aid Serena and company in any way.

Serena was very serious as she listened to the villain's "philosophy" and scanned her memory for what she knew on him. Being part of an investigative agency till recently, and having an investigator for a mother, she knew a lot about villains with active case files, she remembered reading about something like this. Ice villain, 40 kills per incident, the phrase crimson or red snow... she had a general read on him now, she just needed too...
The ice surged around her towards the old man, shit!. She was about to dash to intercept, but the civilian reacted fast, too fast to be just a regular teenager. Now that she thought about it, wasn't that girl in the year below her? She hadn't interacted with too many first years so far this year, and the ones she trained had been class B not A, but she'd picked up some details on class A regardless. She didn't remember the girl's name but she was sure she'd heard about an archer girl with hair arrows... now was not the time to think about that though!
Picking up one of the chunks of rubble from her landing, Serena hurled it at the ice wall trapping the underclassman and the civilian with a surge of energy, shattering the wall and giving them an exit "Get him out of here! Fight after" she said quickly, then whirled to face the laughing monk.
"As for you, you like killing sinful people right? Well you're in luck" Serena said "I am the most sinful person within a square mile of here. I've done plenty worth culling me over, stealing, cheating, hurting people, working with villains... you name it."
Serena smiled as wickedly as she could to sell the bit, she wasn't lying at all, but she didn't just have proof of this on hand and she needed him to believe her for this to work. She was also leaving out how much of that was done under duress, he needed to condemn her after all. "Sure you could round out your 40 with some old man who's not long for the world anyway, but wouldn't it be so much better to finish your 40 with a true sinner like me? I mean if you don't cull me I'll become a hero and get away with everything before long. Who knows, maybe I've even done some work for that organization you're after, wouldn't want someone connected to the murders of your family to slip away now."
Serena hoped to get him focused on her, if this was a religious thing, and he could convince him that she was the one who most needed to die here, and he didn't want to kill more than 40, he'd HAVE to let everyone else be and focus on her. For her own survival this was a terrible idea, but she could defend herself until backup showed, maybe even squeeze out a win... the others couldn't.
She wouldn't just rely on words though, as she sprung towards the monk at high speed, and drew her fist back, ready to deliver a devastating right straight from an elevated angle to drive him into the dirt if she connected. This was a feint though, as at the last moment she seemed to slide sideways through the air diagonally down using a brief burst of energy to her side, then shifted into an equally powerful uppercut from below and to the left of the monk, aiming to ram her fist up under his ribcage, one of the most devastating places to punch someone. If her fist connected with skin she'd unleash a huge burst of energy to send him flying, and probably break quite a few bones and definitely cause internal bleeding if she landed square on and damaged his kidney. If he still blocked with ice despite the seemingly impossible feint she'd hold of on her release and simply jump back a bit, she couldn't afford to waste power smashing through his ice walls unless they were trapping her or she could guarantee doing so would let her land a finishing blow.
