General Personality:
Nicolai is a very forlorn character at first sight. He does not speak much, only to other Quincies, and humans that he deem to be equal to him. And when he does so he speaks in a gentle, but also slightly condescending manner, not meaning to come off as rude, but due to his power and position he does think of himself as a bit superior to others. He is infact a well-meaning being, but he has a hard time expressing himself and his desire to protect and aid others.
He hates Shinigami with a passion, much like any other Quincy, and wishes to see them wiped off of the face of the planet. He thinks of Shinigami who relies on their Zanpakutos' abilities (if they are Reiatsu-based) as 'pathetic runts' who does not belong on the battlefield if they are going to cower behind their one and only trump card. Same goes for those who utilize a lot of Kido and does little to no hand-to-hand combat. But he can at least show a bit of mutual respect to those who come at him with their swords a-swinging, and fighting him head-on.

It is said that some individuals are born with a great purpose in mind. That some people are just born with an inherent destiny, that they'll be taken down either the path of ruin or greatness by design. Nicolai was such a child, as when he was born, it was as if the skies lit up with dozens of falling stars at the same time, an indication that the child was a being above humanity. His parents took this sign with great significance, and raised their child with all the love and care they could. However, such a destined child could not be ignored by outside forces, and that is when the Shinigami stepped in. Realizing that the Quincy race, of which Nicolai had been born of, were a great imbalance to their duty of purging and purifying souls and Hollows, whereas the Quincy just exterminated them, the Captain-Commander of the Seireitei ordered a mass genocide of the Quincy. Nicolai's parents barely manage to hide Nicolai out of sight, but they were themselves slaughtered.
Time passed, and Nicolai had taken to the streets, a wanderer and orphan, until one day he was found by one that he came to know only as 'Master'. This man was a Quincy, too, and leader of a new organization known as the 'Holy See'. He asked Nicolai if he wanted revenge for the death of his parents by the hands of the foul, impure Shinigami, and Nicolai, in his childlike desperation, agreed. He wanted to make the Shinigami pay. And since that day, the 'Master' took Nicolai under his care and tutelage, teaching him how to be a Quincy, and utilize most of their techniques and abilities, such as manipulating and absorbing reishi, utilizing his own Heilig Bogen, and so forth.
But, as time kept going, the 'Master' sensed there was something special within Nicolai, as he had sensed it from the very beginning of his training. One day, when the Holy See were attacked by a group of Shinigami, Nicolai was set up against one of his first real opponents, and while he was handling himself quite well, the enemy possessed very cunning, albeit underhanded tactics involving Kido spells. However, as one of these were sent towards the 'Master' by accident, Nicolai suddenly seized up, and through seemingly focus alone, the Reiatsu-based attack was snuffed out right before the Master's eyes, which took even him aback. Realizing now the potential that Nicolai had, after dispatching the invaders, the Master would promote Nicolai to Saint of Destruction, and he would also give him the unofficial title of Second-in-Command.

Physical Abilities:
Archery Expert
As with any Quincy of his rank, Nicolai is an expert marksman and sniper with a bow and arrow, able to pin-point and hit targets from near miles away with a single barrage of shots.
Master Swordsman
Nicolai is also extremely capable in close quarters, wielding a giant reishi claymore as his primary weapon. He is able to challenge even the most apt swordsmasters of the Shinigami, and fend off the most brutal of Hollows with his sword alone.
Hirenkyaku Adept
The standard movement technique for Quincy, utilizing the reishi around them to gather around their feet to increase movement. Nicolai is quite adept of using this technique, though not to the lightning-fast amount as some of his fellow Quincy.
Enhanced Durability
Nicolai is surprisingly durable and capable of taking punches than other Quincy, especially due to him being a melee combat specialist. Adding onto the Blut Vene technique, and Nicolai can brush off almost any attack with ease.
Enhanced Strength
With a durable body comes strength, and with his Blut Arterie technique it is only further enhanced. Even without Blut Arterie, Nicolai is at peak-human condition with his strength, able to dead-lift about twice his body weight, and deliver punches that can break bones and dislocate joints with ease.

Holy Aspect (Divine Destruction)
The power of Nicolai is a perfect weapon against Shinigami, and is the result of many a lineages of pure-blood Quincy genes being transferred down through generations. Thanks to this, Nicolai has developed the power to completely destroy and nullify anything composed of reiatsu, such as a Shinigami's Kido spells, or a Hollow's Cero. Even techniques composed of reiatsu, such as Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou, are futile in the face of Nicolai, who can just brush it aside like nothing. It should be noted, however, that he cannot destroy zanpakutos with this ability, due to the zanpakuto only being a container of spiritual power. However, if a reiatsu-based attack is launched from the sword, Nicolai can destroy the attack, just not the sword.
However, such a mighty power has quite a catch to it. Each time Nicolai uses Divine Destruction, he is unable to do anything else other than utilizing that sole power alone. So whenever he is using his Holy Aspect power to nullify a Reiatsu-based attack, he is more or less left wide open for attacks during the time he's focusing on nullifying the attack/technique. And while he is able to use a technique that allows him to infuse his Holy Aspect powers into his Heilig Bogen arrows, he can only fire one such shot at a given time, and has to wait a considerable amount of time before utilizing another shot.
A few additional limitations with this is that he can only utilize his hands to cancel out Reiatsu-based attacks. Therefore, he can only cancel out as many techniques as he has hands, which is to say only two at most. If a third attack is launched while he's cancelling out two already, then the third will strike true. If a technique is based on attacking the psyche, or is an intangible illusion, he cannot block or destroy it (for example, he cannot 'destroy' Shinji Hirako's Sakanade ability, since it has no form) The power of any given technique also means he might have to use both hands to nullify it. For example, a regular Cero might require Nicolai to utilize just one hand, but a Gran Rey Cero or Cero Oscuras might have him need to use both hands to nullify it. And the same goes for techniques utilized by a Shinigami's Shikai or Bankai. A Bankai-powered technique will require him to use both hands to fully destroy it.

A special skill that allows Quincy to pump reishi through their blood vessels, allowing their defensive and regenerative capabilities to increase tremendously.
Blut Arterie
Similar to Blut Vene in its initialization, Blut Arterie instead focuses on increasing the blood flow to simulate an adrenaline rush, increasing speed and offensive capabilities.
Sklaverei
Also known as "Reishi Slavery", it is a technique that allows Quincy to tear apart and deconstruct reishi on a molecular level. Not only does this allow Quincy to deconstruct reishi particles, but also entire creatures or structures made out of reishi. The deconstructed reishi is then absorbed and utilized by the Quincy for their own use.
Vollständig
The ultimate technique of a Quincy, it allows them to unleash their full power and fight with near-divine might. Nicolai's Vollständig creates a diamond-shaped halo over his head, along with a pair of diamond-shaped wings composed entirely of Reishi. In this form, Nicolai has increased speed, strength, durability, and is able to utilize his Divine Destruction power on a much greater scale; Instead of destroying Reiatsu by coming into physical contact with it, he now generates a permanent "Anti-Reiatsu Field" around his very being, and anything Reiatsu-based breaching this perimeter withers away before even touching him. This perimeter extends to about ten feet from the center of his position, in all directions, but can be cancelled out if he is brought out of his Vollständig, or if he is knocked unconscious or killed. He is also still very much vulnerable to physical damage.
Ransōtengai
Also known as "Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit", this technique allows the user to use strings of Reiryoku controlled by their brain to form strings made of Reishi that connects to their whole body, or just individual body-parts. Utilizing this technique, a Quincy can control and move their body/bodyparts like a marionette, allowing them to move and act even with severe bodily injuries/disabling conditions.

His Quincy Cross is the brooch that holds his cloak in place, and it is shaped like a silver diamond.
Helig Bogen:
Nicolai's Heilig Bogen looks almost like an Elvish fantasy bow, and is about 5 foot long from top to bottom. The balanced design of it helps him keep his aim steady. It does not have a special name, but one unique ability it has is that he is able to imbue his arrows with his Holy Aspect powers, allowing his arrows to tear through Reiatsu-based attacks or barriers.
