Emily is a sweet, seemingly unassuming girl. With petite features of European ancestry clear on her face (aside from the dyed grey-blue ponytail), and her dark eyes, she has the build of an athlete while coming off as someone who is healthily educated, though not necessarily to the point of being a bookworm or science whiz. Standing at 5'3" tall, and weighing in at 200 lbs, her muscles are quite toned, and show that she is just as committed to physical exercise and recreational activity, if not more, than she is to being a student. However, from the waist-down, it is unavoidably evident that Emily is made of cutting-edge cybernetic prosthesis that is even more capable than her original legs. Made of a high-quality titanium alloy, it gives Emily much greater speed than most grown adults can keep up with, and of course great force she can apply through her legs. It is also where much of her height and weight clocks in, the latter of which continues to get under her skin.
Civilian Clothing:
Emily's day-to-day outfit is like a typical schoolgirl's uniform, on part of her tendency to follow traditional dress codes as well as wanting to do her best to fit in a Japanese schooling environment that she is experiencing for the first time. Since her bottom half is dominated by prosthetics, Emily can only customize her top, which is a white blouse-tunic with a black overlay around the collar area that also helps secure the yellow ascot worn on her collarbone. Emily also wears a hair "band" to hold her ponytail in place that is highly reminiscent of a medieval knight's visor.
Hero Outfit: When Emily is dressed for Hero training, she wears a skintight black-gray armor similar to what covert operatives wear, albeit layered with armor in key places to maximize the effectiveness of her Quirk. This includes an extendable bo staff, a derivation of the one she used to use in gymnastic. It now doubles as a transformable weapon, working the same way as her Quirk.
Personality
Bad Habits:
Emily is too stubborn and self-righteous for her own good. She frequently takes matters into her own hands, especially when it comes to seeing bullies harassing others. Emily's maternal instinct developed from looking after her baby brother has only become more pronounced when her Quirk activated. As much as she likes to be a model student, Emily won't hesitate to break rules if said rules would get in the way of helping others. At the same time, it's easy to get under her skin, someone who will treat the slightest provocation, however jokesy, with literal malevolence.
Goal: Emily wishes, more than anything, to be a role model, for others, though also for her family. She wants to follow in her grandfather's footsteps, placing a chip on her shoulder that her parents never meant to put there.
General Personality: Emily is a doer, plain and simple. Out of a group, she’s among those who rise to the occasion without anyone needing to ask it of her. She is prompt and forward, asserting herself where she’s needed, and sometimes, where she’s not. Emily carries herself with propriety and courtesy, never meaning to demean or embarrass anyone, and is quick to apologize if she realizes that she has done so. She has great humility, and does not hesitate to correct herself if it becomes clear that she has made a mistake or done a wrong. In all, she’s quite the model student, and an excellent example for what the Academy may expect of its students as they work towards becoming fully-fledged heroes. To others, she’s a massive tool.
Socially, Emily carries herself with initiative and forwardness, yet at the same time holding back with confusing reservation. To further complicate things, she speaks with a clearly forced English accent that is heavier than her natural accent, using antiquated vocabulary as if she were actually a knight, as some of her fashion and aesthetic choices seem to be based off of. A fascination with her heritage and its cultural origins have culminated in a persona of an estranged knightess that is eager to make friends, correct their unruly behavior when it arises, and become the hero that she knows she is destined to be. Though it is in some part steeped in truth in regards to Emily’s motivations, it is largely a coping mechanism for anxiety around others, and most of all, whether she deserves the opportunity that she has been given, or if she is only here because she was fed from a silver spoon all her life.

Extended Family:
Emily's grandfather, Gregory Baxter, is Grail, one of the first Pro Heroes in the United Kingdom, and the founder of The Round, the Pro Hero institution in that country. His Quirk is Armory, which produces and launches a multitude of high-powered melee weaponry. He is rumored to be invincible.
History:
Emily’s mother was a player for the Liverpool Trojans, whereas her father was a high-end consultant for a biotech firm in London. By all rights, neither of them had any business with one another, but as always, love managed to find a way, and they soon became inseparable. Not long after, Emily was born, the darling of their lives and the culmination of their hopes and dreams for the future ahead. She was curious, much more so than other children her age, filled with an untameable spirit. Much of her early childhood was relatively uneventful, although her parents were mildly surprised. After all, Emily’s mother – on whose side of the family had a matrilineal tendency for inheritance – was a Quirk User, specifically with the ability to transform her skin into a durable earthy layer, though unlike most people with Quirks, she had elected not to become a Hero, and continued to be an athlete. Though Emily showed no signs of a Quirk, her parents did not think any less of her for it, though they could not help but feel a little disappointed.
In school, Emily was exceptionally gifted, academically though also athletically, much to the pride of her mother. She took after her in this regard, though seemed to pursue basketball instead, something that Emily’s parents supported her in every step of the way. She became a bit of a model student, and was quick to stand up for others that might have otherwise become victims of bullying. She never hesitated to do what was right, no matter what, and had she developed a Quirk while doing this, it would have been the perfect catalyst to send her off to U.A. High. But, it didn’t seem to be.
However, eventually there came a time when Emily’s Quirk did indeed finally reveal itself. Unfortunately, the circumstances under which it happened were terribly tragic. Emily had spotted one of her close friends being bullied yet again by one of her bitter enemies in school, who never seemed to let up whenever she stepped in to stop his nonsense. In this case, however, it was happening on the precarious stairwell of the school, and when an altercation began to break out between Emily and the bully, she (perhaps intentionally from the bully) fell down the full flight of stairs. It was during this moment that her Quirk activated, covering parts of her body in a layer of knight-like steel. Unfortunately for Emily, who was totally unprepared and almost thrown into shock by this happening, caused the armor around her legs to form incorrectly, and permanently crippled her ligaments and joints from the waist down as a result. She urged her friend not to say anything about what had happened, lest he continue to become a victim of bullying, with the hope that the bully in question would stop after what had just happened. For once, that naivety rang true. But Emily was still Quirked… and she was still a cripple.
Even after being rushed to the nearest hospital, and after Emily had learned to safely deactivate her armor Quirk, the damage to her legs was irreparable, and the pain excruciating. The doctor suggested the possibility of cutting-edge cybernetics, in part a result of her father’s hard work, though Emily’s parents refused it outright, not wanting to put their daughter through any more. Emily, however, was adamant about the procedure, especially if it would help her as much as the doctor seemed to imply. Emily would never be able to walk again, or run, or ever play sports otherwise… or help other people with her Quirk. For her, it wasn’t a choice. From then on, Emily Kramer was Iron Maiden!
Oddly enough, Emily didn’t immediately apply for U.A. High, or any of the other cutting-edge hero schools all the way over in Japan. Although she had plans to go to Japan to make her career, she wanted to make sure that she had absolute control over her Quirk and how to properly protect others, lest something similarly awful happen to her again. Although there aren’t many particularly cases from this brief period, Emily’s encounter with a thug by the name of Takio comes to the forefront, especially since they are going to have to come to terms with being peers in the future. She caught her attempting to shoplift from a store, and quickly attempted to apprehend her. What to Emily should have been a simple petty crime turned into a long, drawn-out urban brawl with a Quirked delinquent that finally ended in a draw. The two of them agreed to go their separate ways, though the score was far from settled. Emily swore to her that she’d have a lot to answer for if she ever saw her again… a promise she bitterly regretted making when she saw her during orientation at U.A. High.
Emily struggled during her first year at U.A. She was qutie outgoing at school in Liverpool, though the stark transition to a school in Japan (and a Hero school at that) made it difficult for Emily to adapt. She did not make many friends as a result, and began to develop a complex about her ability to socialize, and in turn succeed as a Pro Hero-in-training.
Going into her second year, Emily is both emboldened and frazzled. She hopes to make more of an impact among her peers so that she can continue (im)proving herself to those around her... and especially herself. Emily continues to be plagued by the burden of being connected to the legacy hero Grail, and the first child in her family to attend U.A. She feels woefully unprepared to face the future, anchored only by the knowledge that she is far from alone in feeling this, nor in overcoming it. U.A., the Pro Heroes, everyone - they will face it together.

At a mental command, Emily’s body is encased in an incredibly durable, nigh-impenetrable armor. This armor extends from her various metal bracers, sleeves, and other accessories throughout her body that are attuned to her Quirk, though her torso is enveloped by a multi-layered plate-like chassis of varying hues that appears to be the “core” of her Quirk. Emily’s face is also enveloped in a helmet reminiscent of old European knights, derived from her metal hairband that helps form her flowing hair. The armor is borderline invulnerable to physical attacks, though it is not immune to different types of energy, elements, “magic”, or any attacks of that sort in the slightest. Emily is also very capable of being disoriented and fazed by physical attacks just as well; she is simply so armored that she usually isn’t budged by them, and / or isn’t injured like one would normally be. This Quirk also affects Emily’s staff, which transforms into a fully mechanized two-sided titanium axe. It goes without saying that in order for Emily to be able to bear the immense burden of being covered in heavy-duty armor she has to acquire an incredible amount of strength and endurance to simply be able to move, as well as use her titanium axe effectively. It is unclear how powerful Emily becomes while using her Quirk, though it is not too far-fetched to think that she would be capable of throwing automobiles with some effort, and stop vehicles ramming at full speed (or, with due preparation and focus, a runaway train).

Drawbacks:
Although Emily is a veritable tank with Bulwark active, she is incredibly slow. Though she is still able to maneuver in her armor, and even make basic acrobatic feats, her speed is significantly reduced as a whole, and it takes much more effort for her to build up speed. Bulwark is also highly vulnerable to electricity and heat, as heavy metal armor easily conducts these elements and would affect her much more easily. Fatigue can also set in for Emily more easily, particularly if she is being focused by numerous enemies, making it difficult for her to manage them all while draining her energy in doing so. If Emily becomes swarmed, the fatigue from an onslaught of attacks, however ineffective they may be against Bulwark individually, will rapidly accumulate and eventually tire her out to the point that her armor will disengage, and her weapon will “power down”.
Fighting Style:
Emily is a defensive player, on and off the court. She makes a point of keeping the focus on her, being able to take in the damage, and dish it out in full. She usually doesn’t go on the attack, leaving that to faster teammates who can blitz the objective, while she can focus on protecting and distracting others with her heavy, dominating presence. Her attacks, though often slower and clunkier than most Academy students, deliver incredible power that more often than not lay out an opponent after landing a single hit or two. Emily also doesn’t need to worry about actually hitting her opponent so long as she keeps them on their toes with the hefty threat of her titanium axe while Bulwark is activated. Though Emily is significantly less of a threat without using her Quirk, she is still quite resourceful, able to then use her athleticism and killer reflexes to her advantage in outmaneuvering her opponents and keeping them guessing as she literally dances circles around them while her teammates get the job done. This isn’t to say that Emily can’t act of her own accord, but her tactics work best in a team environment.
