“I’ve dealt with it before, I’ll manage.”
Weld possesses an entirely metallic physiology and can alter his composition willfully. His entire body is composed of various metals, down to his inner organs. This includes having silver bones as well as copper and gold internal organs. In most cases, he is one of the strongest and most durable, entirely due to the unique composition of his body. Or, as he himself would put it, he is "practically untouchable in a fight". He also lacks things that would normally kill another person, a malleable physiology that allows him to survive what would fatal injuries. He can also alter himself in many creative ways, both inside and outside of battle, such as turning his arms into spears and hooks for combat or other tools that can be used in daily life (saws, hammers, etc...).
He does not really have a heart... and he weighs six hundred pounds.
Furthermore, Weld can rearrange the metals that form his body, separate them into their composite elements, and push the impurities to the surface of his skin. This makes it possible for him to handle metallic objects with his hands and teeth, seeing that normally he bonds to metals he touches on contact, which would make daily life complicated. This assimilation effect is largely how he repairs damage to his body and can reshape himself to compensate for suffered damage. His shifting encompasses all features, and Weld can also "tweak" his appearance if he wants to look different, such as more or less imposing. It is even possible for him to change his apparent gender.
“It’s fine. I don’t have to sleep much, anyways, so it’s good to keep busy.”
He is also finally unaffected by anything that would normally affect organic creatures and, in many ways, also inorganic creatures. Weld is also sometimes known as a "Noctis Cape", which are paranormals who, for whatever reason, don't need sleep.
A few weaknesses his unique physiology gives him are things such as powers based around magnetism, with the mutant Magneto being a prime example of a dangerous opponent for Weld to face. It is potentially possible for him to rearrange his physic with metals that are not magnetic, but that would require time. His power also makes it likely that he will accidentally absorb things made out of metals unless he uses impurities as protection. (Gloves are good)
Weapons/Items:
“Others get $400 a month to spend on food and other essentials, but I don’t sweat and my clothes last a long while if I get durable ones, and I don’t eat, so why shouldn’t I spend money on something more ‘quality of life’?”
Music Collection:
Weld boasts The Champions' largest collection of CDs and a nice collection of different ways to play music—headsets, players, boomboxes, MP3 players, laptops, etc.

Appearance
Physical Appearance:
It is difficult to miss Weld in a room; the only really "normal" about him is the fact that he clearly has the body of a teenage boy. He could not get past the scanner at the airport, which would be impossible because he is entirely composed of different kinds of metal. From skin to hair to bone, is all metal and alloys of varying types. His metal body is exceedingly detailed and refined, made from a dusky dark grey metal with the slightest of swirls of lighter metals in it, and his ‘adonis’ musculature was perfectly etched out in the metal, with silver lines tracing his muscle definition like veins of metal in raw ore. His eyes are silver; two lines come from the outer corners of his eyes down his cheekbones and to the sides of his jaw.
It is also not unknown for him to have a random collection of metal objects fused to his skin at various stages of absorption, which makes him stand out even more when he runs into others during these periods.
Weld also has a branded mark on his heel, which manifests even if Weld were to reform the foot.
Clothing and Armor:
Due to the fact that Weld doesn't sweat, he has little need to change his clothes to the same extent as other people. He, therefore, focuses on dressing in sturdy (simple) clothes, jeans, and the occasional tank top (even if he has a habit of being shirtless, even in cold weather, the cold never bothered him anyway.)
Personality
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual (It is complicated; it always is when you're made of metal.)
General Personality:
"She thinks I’m fearless, but I’m not. I don’t have any hormones, any real heart that can pound, adrenaline to flow through my veins. But I still feel fear, still feel despair."
Contrasting somewhat with his metallic body, Weld can be described as trusting, respectful, and generally kind to everyone, apart from a select few who, for different reasons, have earned his ire, and even in this case, it happens mostly to those on the deep end of the "evil" spectrum. Weld possesses a keen intelligence with an analytical and tactical mind, starkly contrasting with his size and strength, often making many view him as a simple front-line combatant. That being said, he does make the occasional social tumble, but never from a place of maliciousness.
Inside, Weld is a complicated person with a lot on his mind and a body he never asked for. He has lost much of his ability to taste, feel pressure, and smell. Therefore, His sensorium has been affected much more than he has been willing to admit, even less to his friends and allies, purely out of a desire not to make them worry. He does hear, and as far as hobbies go, nothing brings Weld more joy than music. He relies highly on music as a coping mechanism, with his quarters among the Champions having wall-to-wall stacks of CDs. He is not picky and listens to many varied and different genres and styles. Weld does not strictly need to eat and functions on less sleep than normal for humans. As such, he spends much more money on new music, which he views as the sustenance he needs more than food.
His ability has also affected how he feels emotions, seeing that he no longer has any of the chemicals needed to produce certain emotional responses inside the body; chemicals such as adrenaline are missing. Weld can, therefore, not feel fear. With the addition that he cannot feel strongly in many other cases, and neither does he produce sweat.

History:
Weld did not have the easiest start to life. Well, truthfully, he has no idea who he used to be before he was Weld if there was anything before that. The parahuman woke up amnesic in a scrapyard, his body a fragment consisting of his head and part of his chest. There, he spent an unknown amount of time trying to make sense of his current situation, consolidating and separating himself from the metal that had been fused to his body. All that is known is that he is a product of the experiments done by a subsidiary of A.R.G.U.S, known as The Cauldron, which works mainly to produce Parahumans to turn them into possible super-soldiers, albeit with very dubious means. Unsurprisingly, Weld has a less-than-positive view of this group and, by extension, A.R.G.U.S itself. Experimenting on people against their will, he is not one to stand for it.
As luck would have it, Weld was found and recruited by the Justice League to join The Champions before A.R.G.U.S. could reclaim him. He became part of the initiative of the League to give way to a new generation of heroes and provide him with a safe place to get an education and make social bonds.
Weld has made something of a presence of himself, not just in the faction but also in the world at large. At some point, Weld was the subject of an internet meme featuring an image of him with various captions. He has also begun having an active acting career, making landmarks among parahumans, mutants and the like as being the third monstrous hero to feature as an actor on a television show, the first to make a second appearance on TV, and the first with an onscreen kiss.
As of now, Weld has been part of The Champions for roughly two years and has made himself at home as a hero with a good ability for leadership due to his composed personality and being less likely to lose his cool.
Role Play Sample:
"What's your opinion on other villains going the same route you did?"
Weld had not told Livevire that he had listened to her program or that he had been part of her following for a few months now. It was not that it was a well-crafted secret or that he actively avoided mentioning it. It just never came up. He adjusted the headset as he lay on his bed, silver eyes looking up at the ceiling. The Champions were what the League called them and what the world called them, but what did that even mean? Being a hero? Aliens and... even magic, it sure was a lot to take in, even for him. Before all this, he did not even know magic was an actual thing, but here it was. Weld raised a hand, looking as the light from outside reflected in his arm.
"Take it from my experience that it sucks being on the run, especially if some big hero has their sights set out for you."
He smiled, just a small one, at her words... that was clearly experience talking alright.
His attention was drawn away from Livevire's voice to a knock on the door, and he pulled the headset away from his left ear. Weld was not expecting anyone to visit him. Garr was out, so it could not be the shapeshifter, and Livevire was... well, live, so he had no idea who it could be.
" Yeah?" Weld called out, sitting up just as the door opened to reveal a woman with black hair and friendly green eyes. She was dressed in a business suit and carried with her a folder under one arm with the name Weld written on it in cursive. "Oh, Hello, Miss Walters."
"Hello, Weld", Jennifer Walters said with one of her kind smiles. "I was waiting for you in the office. Are you okay?"
"Office?" Weld asked, taking off the headset. "Why- Was that today? I'm so sorry; I was so sure it was tomorrow."
"It's perfectly fine," Miss Walters raised a hand. "I had a feeling you might have forgotten about it."
"So, does that mean you- found something?" Weld asked, crossing his legs as Jennifer walked further into the room, sitting by the desk chair.
"I'm afraid not. I hate to disappoint you, Weld, but currently, I have not been able to locate anything that might help. There is nothing in the missing people's register, and I even checked in other countries, but still nothing. I've asked Question to investigate further, but he seemed to be occupied with something else."
"I see," Weld sighed. "Well, I'm thankful you're helping me with this, Miss Walters. Suppose we find something, I'll figure out how to deal with it. But I'm not going to beat myself up over not knowing. I am still me, even without all that stuff. Not like it would be easy to go back looking like this. Besides-" He paused, playing with the headset. "I would think if I had a family that would have seen me in on the TV by now."
He hoped his words sounded casual enough, or at least enough to mask his disappointment in not finding out anything about his past. It would make things like getting a driver's license much easier.
