Alexia Price would arrive on the shores of a small coastal village near the mainland of Ixia by the name of Rustway Village. The small village had originally been a unimportant place, mostly occupied by fishermen and weavers who built sandstone housing from the nearby cliffs that contained massive deposits of the material. For the Price Family, who primarily dealt with building ships; there wasn't much in terms of business ventures here. Most of the boats used by the village were also made in the village due to a unique feature which when Alexia would step off to dock she'd notice instantly. The waters, as opposed to being crystal clear, or a bit more blue; was a foggy orange red color. "Careful to watch your step Ms.Price." The guard who had been sent to escort her to this place spoke as he made sure she didn't get knocked off by accident. "The waters are filled with Blood Krill.... Think mosquitos except far more bloodthirsty and hungry. Anything not made of metal tends to get devoured... well, except for the boats made here..."
Alexia would have been told by her Father why she was here. The first was to secure the wood here for lumber growing and more importantly for securing a monopoly upon the village. It had been her idea to send a Biologist to this place due to the strange nature of it she had read from a book she recently acquired. Upon making her way down the docks, along with the guard who was carrying whatever luggage she had towed along; she'd meet a group of people. An older man, who looked leathery from days spent fishing; a younger more modern woman wearing Pulic Garb; and a more upright and business dressed man who wore the Ixia standard, mostly business casual button up short sleeves, shorts, and of course the symbol of the Ixia merchant's guild.
"Ms.Price, these are your primary contacts and those who you'll deal with the most." The guard said, placing the luggage down. "The older man is Gerrome Roan, he's the mayor of the village, as well as an elder here. He'll act as your in between of civil and town business. The man on the right in business attire is Logan Burg'ox. He's with the local bank and merchant guild. Anything pertaining to funds or resources are his business.... then there is.... well, you already know her."
The woman stepped up. She was probably in her mid twenties early thirties. Her robe was one that was cut shorter than most Pulic kimonos which were the current fashion craze back on the larger continent. The sleeves and hem of the dress were roughly to her elbows and knees. What's more, the light blue was stained near the knees and sleeves with faded orange of some kind. It splattered in random patterns, which if it wasn't obvious it was a stain would perhaps be a nice possible design for skirts in the future. She was actually a little bit shorter than Alexia; and far less tan. Thankfully a large straw hat gave her plenty of shade to avoid sunburn thankfully. "Kimiko Araragi. We spoke through letters, and I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to be here. The bio-diversity here... sorry, the ecological.... Sorry I have to remind myself to use smaller words. The plant and wildlife here is unique and extraordinary."
