Physical Description
A short-statured Shinigami, Yuji doesn't boast large muscles or an imposing height. Her slender, lean body has porcelain skin, almost white, and dull grey-blue eyes. Her hair is pure white, cut in a messy bob with a straight, slanted fringe across her forehead. Yuji has delicate, petite facial features, nothing to differentiate herself aside from any other Shinigami save for her lighter-than-air skin and snow-white hair.
Clothing/Misc. Items
The standard Shinigami robes, with a black tight obi sash instead of the standard white cloth.
Sexuality
Bisexual
Goals
Yuji dreams of one day wearing a captain's haori, but she knows she has a long way to go. She wishes to be strong and just Shinigami, to uphold the laws and traditions of Soul Society and be someone that her allies can look up to and know they can rely on.
General Personality
Yuji is a reserved and quiet individual. She believes in justice, tradition and the laws of the world, doing her best to keep in line and make sure others do as well. Yuji is caring and kind, though she doesn't show much through expressions, simply acts and deeds. She believes in bettering herself at every opportunity, not just in combat but in cultural endeavours, and enjoys writing poetry and songs. In battle, Yuji keeps her cool, and it is hard to shake her. She fights to protect her allies more than herself, and doesn't like those who show off or fight with flashy techniques. Yuji sees fighting as a necessary evil, and will attempt to finish a fight as quickly and painlessly as possible. She has disdain for members of the 11th Division or Shinigami who fight for fun, as she sees it as dangerous, a waste of life and energy.
History
The Imada Household
A low noble house, the Imada's were a century old family with many of them entering into the Shinigami Academy and becoming part of the Gotei 13. Yuji's mother was a third seat when she was born, while her father hadn't become a Shinigami but instead taken the role of the head of their house. Yuji had six sisters and eight brothers, all of which showed promise to become Shinigami one day. Yuji, however, was a bit more reserved. She trained with the others from a young age, but found herself enjoying the calmer side of life. She was painting various corners of the Imada house as soon as she could grip a brush, and writing as soon as she knew how. Yet eventually such dreams come to pass, and she found that, out of all her siblings, Yuji alone was chosen to join the academy and become a Shinigami. Grudgingly she accepted, because she knew the life and traditions of all Souls was something to uphold.
The Academy
Yuji was a strong member of her class. Already well-versed in Zanjutsu and with the basics of Shunpo under her belt, she learned to refine and hone these techniques to make her quite a competent and deadly solider. Yet she never enjoyed killing, even the purufications of Hollows leaving a bad taste on her tongue. She knew it was necessary, but she disliked doing so. Yuji decided during her training that she would only unsheath her blade in moments of dire need, when others needed to be defended or enemies simply showed no sign of redemption. Eventually she graduated her class, entering into the Seventh Division as a low seated member. The Inada's were so proud that she had made it. Her mother had passed away a few years before, and now it was up to Yuji to show her family name in a good light.
end of hypnosis
Yuji was never close to the three traitors, but in her time in the Seventh Division under Captain Komamura, she grew fond of him. To see him after the events on Sokyoku hill was heart-breaking for her. Now, a newly appointed third seat, Yuji is simply doing her best to get the division back in order, serving her Captain as best she can, and working hard to her eventual goal of becoming a Captain someday.

Physical Abilities/Power
Zanjutsu
Yuji is highly capable with her blade, trained well and with a steady sword-arm. She was one of the best in her class at zanjutsu in the academy, and can hold her own against an enemy without releasing her shikai or resorting to kido.
Hakuda
While small in stature, Yuji has some skill with hand-to-hand combat.
Shun-po
Yuji can keep up with vice-captain level Shinigami using her shun-po.
Kido
Yuji can cast Bakudo spells up to level #45 and Hado up to #33 without incantations. It is not her best skill, but she is proficient enough.
Zanpakuto
Mushoku; "Colourless"
A white-hilted zanpakuto that, like Yuji, is slender and unassuming in detail, with a simple circular guard and no additional details about it. Mushoku's spirit is a grey vulture that squats on a single, quartz tree sitting in an expansive white desert.
Shikai
Shibomu; "Fade Away"
In an area of about a hundred feet around Yuji, all colours begin to drain away, fading and withering until they turn to shades of grey. The only colour that can be seen in this area is the blade of Mushoku, which now shines vividly in all the various shades that have been absorbed by the zanpaku-to. Everyone within this sphere of influence has entered Haiiro no heiya, the Grey Plain.
Each slash of Mushoku releases the colour which it has absorbed, strengthening the attack and cycling through the rainbow shades that it has stored. The colours are released from the blade when swung, and have to be reabsorbed once the rainbow has been used up. Releasing the colours doesn't return them to Haiiro no heiya, instead painting colourful slashes onto the environment or anyone unlucky enough to be caught in their range. A mark from Mushoku will remain on a person or object until the blade is sealed away, even if they step out of the Grey Plain.
Anything with colour in Haiiro no heiya is subject to a few rules. Their movements are slower, each step or swing like moving through water. Senses are dulled, and the ability to differentiate different shades of grey lowers, gradually changing everything to look like a flat, grey portrait, with the only thing visible being the bright blade of Mushoku.
