Fate/Leave Chaos Canons

This can be a bit confusing as along with canon Masters who summoned canon Servants in Fate/stay night, there have been many side projects, prequels, and spin offs that expanded just how many Servants there are, many with their master just being 'Protagonist'. This first post will be of the canon Masters in the series that are alive in this time period. The Second post will be of the canon Servants paired with the first post's Masters. The third post will be canon Servants that have been revealed since then in other spin offs. The final post will include other potential Masters (canon side characters) who may find themselves drawn to the chaos of the war.

To Be Clear,

Fate/stay night Canon Masters are limited to summoning their Canon Servants. However, Masters and Servants from non Fate/stay night canon do not have to be limited. So Shirou has to summon Seiba, but Sisigou does not need to summon Mordred

Canon Masters.

Shirou Emiya: The hero, more or less, of the story and Master of a Saber class Servant. Ten years ago, his family as well as many others wear killed in the fire resulting from the end of the 4th Grail War. However Shirou force himself to stay alive, something he has hated himself for since. He was adopted by former Grail War Master, Kiritsugu Emiya, however not taught any of his skills, Kiritsugu wishing for Shirou to live a peaceful life of helping others. Now, strange forces have not only drawn him into the conflict that so changed his life 10 years ago, but have also landed him with the very Servant his foster father had commanded.

Rin Tohsaka: Heir of the Tohsaka mage line, descendant of one the three mages who created the Grail War, prodigy genius mage, and Master of a mysterious, amnesiac Archer class Servant. Her father took part of the previous war, however along with his dying, Rin's mother was assaulted too, and died shortly after, leaving her in her own care and the pester of a family friend, Kirie Kotomine. Powerful and proud, she entered into the War solely because it is a Tohsaka's duty to try and win the grail since the War was conceived. Despite her strong drive to win the Grail, she could not be able to tell you what she would wish for.

Kirie Kotomine: A priest of The Church and current officiator of the Fifth Holy Grail War. Despite his welcoming words he gives off an unmistakable air of villainy. A survivor of the previous war, friend to the Tohsaka family, and son of the previous war's officiator, who himself had died as well, despite having experienced so much, he is not one to freely speak of it. llyasviel von Einzbern: Heir of the Einzbern mage line, descendant of one of the three mages who created the Grail War, homunculus daughter, though born naturally, of Kiritusgu Emiya and Irisviel von Einzbern. She is commonly known as Illya, and she is the Master of a frightening Berserker class Servant, her control over the beast a mark of her power as a homunculus and child of such powerful mages. Despite her frame, she is over 18 years old, but is more than willing to act the role of a child, given that is how she is viewed. Her father, Kiritsugu, was suppose to return home, after the war with mommy, however, neither of them did. Told that she was abandoned and the Einzbern family betrayed by this Emiya man, for ten years her mind has been poisoned with hate for that man and his legacy. She will win the war with her mighty Servant, for that, is her duty.

Souichirou Kuzuki: A 'simple' homeroom, world history, and ethics teacher at the high school that Rin, Shirou, and the Matous attend. Not a mage, however a professionally trained killer, and acting Master of a Caster class servant who turned against her original Master. Passion was something trained out of him at a young age by the organization he found himself raised by. He has been teaching for two years now and already finds himself well liked by the staff and many students despite his strictness, and he lives his live at the local Buddhist temple. [Taken]

Sakura Matou: A shy, modest girl who, in fact, is the long estranged sister of Rin, who around ten years ago, was given for adoption to the Matou family, the third line of mages who began the Grail War, by Rin's father. The reasoning is that, sine the Matous at the time lacked heirs with magic circuits, were seen as a dying mage line, but as one of the three who began the war, and Tohsaka not wanting the daughters to heir over being the heir or not, he thought it most fair to give one of his daughters up to them. Since that she has been abused mentally, emotionally, physically, and sexually by her new family, resulting in the modest girl not wanting to draw attention to her. However, while most of it is tamped down as 'training' and barely taught, she has at least as much mana as her blood sister Rin. The original Master of vilified beauty of a Rider class Servant, however ownership of her and her command seals were bullied from her to her would be brother. However, something menacing rests deep inside this frame, waiting to unleash back to the world the pain she has suffered. [Taken by Mod]

Shinji Matou: Blood heir of the Matou family, however born without magic circuits he is seen as proof of the Matou line's end, and thus beyond a disgrace. Despite him studying the theories of magic long and hand, he could never hope to please the head of the house, his 'grandfather', simply due to him lacking the one thing no amount of training could make. And so, despite his baffling social popularity, he took his familial frustrations out on his adopted sister, Sakura. And when she got command seals, as well as a Servant, he demanded she hand them over, using a strange family heirloom, a book, to hold the command seals, making him, for now, the Master of the long haired Rider. Zouken Matou: Head and grand master of the Matou family, and in secret the actual third mage who took part in creation of the Grail War system previously of a Russian mage line but had to escape and change his name. At this point he is barely even human, under the wrinkled guise he has taken is a construct of countless family familiars, magic fueled worms, with which he uses to sustain his life through the blood of others, effectively now a vampire without the title that would bring the Church down upon him. He is a cruel man, solely interested in ownership of the grail no matter how he may ruin the lives of others through it, an simply wanting to wish for a true immortality. When he took Sakura in ten years ago he did not see her ever having a chance to become a Master, nor that the next war would come in a mere ten years, instead setting her up to be the womb that would birth a new Matou child to take up the family crest again, and maybe THEY, in 40 years time, would be the master. He did not see the girl as a person, but like many around him, simply a tool. The last bloodline Matou to take part of a Grail War, during the fourth war, had died after attempting to steal Sakura away from this chaos. [Taken by Mod]

Paired Canon Servants

Saber: 'King' Arthur of the legend of Camelot and the Round Tale, true name Artoria Pendragon. As per the legend she drew out the sword from the stone, and thus her humanity as a young girl was discarded so that she may become 'King'. She, as a Servant, is a special case compared to others as she is not simply a copy, not something that every war she may be summoned in starting all anew, but in fact is a projection of her mind, from the last moments of her life, as her loyal knight attempts to return her sword Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. This means two things are dramatically different about her. She cannot turn into a spirit form after summoned, and she retains memories of the previous war which she was summoned during ten years ago. One can only imagine her shock hearing that her new master, Shirou Emiya, is the child of Kiritsugu, complex master that she clashed against, and who forced her to destroy her one hope, the Holy Grail, which she sought, to try and fix the ruin and destruction she feels her reign had caused. Yes, she seeks to use the grail, to change history itself, and make her not the King of England, for she feels her reign is what led to Camelot's fall.

Archer: A mystery even to himself, either due to just how strange of a hero he is, or how he was summoned, he finds himself without knowledge of who he is despite knowing his powers. Dark skin, white hair, the archer seemingly in name only, armed with a white and black blade in each hand, follows the girl named Tohsaka, promising her victory.

Lancer: The Irish hero Cu Chulainn, skilled warrior of speed, clad now in tight blue in sharp contrast to his spear of blood red. However, despite crossing weapons with many Servants now, every time he seems to have the edge against them, he is seen to retreat, much to his frustration as a warrior. Just what must his Master, whoever they may be, be thinking that calls for a warrior's pride to be trampled upon. [NPC]

Rider: The human form of the famed, reviled, and fear gorgon, Medusa. Long hair, sharp spike like 'daggers' connected by a chain, and a heavy blinder over her petrifying eyes, she would seek only for the happiness of her Master Sakura, however that 'happiness' was to have herself passed to her brother Shinji due to his bullying. She will fight for Shinji as long as he is her master, however she would not weep to be rid of him. [Taken by Mod]

Caster: Having fallen for the Argonaut Jason, aiding his quest, and killing her very brother, Madea had in legend earned herself the title Witch. While the Master she was summoned by was a vary capable mage, she had a distaste for him as a person, or how he planned to approach the War, topped off by his insulting of her class, Casters often disregarded in the war. And so, she killed her Master and would have disappeared, had she not be found and formed a connection with a teacher from the local school, Souichirou. Using her rule 'breaking' Noble Phantasm that allowed her to kill her Master so easily, and join with another, also allowed her to laugh in the face of the Grail War, and summon her own Servant, an Assassin class Servant taking the role of guard, partly because he has no other choice but do so.

'Assassin': A self-proclaimed Sasaki Koijiro, a false Servant summoned by false means, and anchored directly to the grounds of the Buddhist temple his Master has made her territory, and her Master's home. He cares not for what purpose the Caster keeps, but solely wishes for combat with any who would hold themselves by title as 'warrior'. And what better time to do so, than during a Grail War. [NPC]

Berserker: The most iconic, most known Greek hero, seeped to madness, Hercules, the son of a God, and now weapon and guard of the little girl Illya, her one 'friend' despite his beast-like insanity, and neigh unkillable.

Gilgamesh: Clad in gold armor, the King of Heroes, the oldest known myth, and Archer from the fourth Grail War. Now? Well, the war ended yes, and the final battle was between himself, and the King of Knights, however there was no real winner in that match. What could he be up to now?

Avenger: 50 years ago, in the third grail war, a Master thought that they would be ever so clever, and introduce a new 8th class to the war, replacing Berserker for the 7 needed. This servant was to be an anti-hero, or maybe even a villain, and would carry with them the powers of the god of evil. But the weak, unimpressive boy who was summoned, while what they wished to summon, did not last long, and found his essence floating in the Holy Grail... However, being who he was, he felt guilty having failed his master so fully, and wished with all his heart, that he could have been a grand evil god, source of all evil and wickedness in the world... And it is one thing to wish such a thing as you and I, powerless as we are to make wishes come true once dead... But when inside a wish granting cup?

Canon Servants The Fate franchise is huge, and as such there are many servants from various what if timelines and spin offs that in a canon timeline, do not have a canon established Servant, so feel free if you are having trouble making a Servant, to grab one of these nutjobs instead.

Different Interpretations I am willing to let two versions of the same heroic spirit be summoned if those versions are from different cultural ideas of said Servant.

Multiple Canon Classes[/b] There are many Servants that could be summoned through multiple classes, this is simply a run down of the canon ones where we see the different classes, though some of them have shades of different interpretations as well. I will not allow the same hero to be summoned under multiple classes at once, but I would allow the same hero to be summoned multiple times each time as a different class.
