Past of the God King
Unbeknownst to Yugo, he is one of the original six Eliatropes, the leading pioneers of a forgotten civilization in the Nebula's far reaches. Like the other six originals, Yugo was born as the child of The Great Dragon and the Goddess Eliatrope (after which his people got their name). This union always resulted in twins born from the same egg, one humanoid Eliatrope, and a dragon. Yugo was first born from this, together with his dragon brother Adamaï.
The Eliatropes first fled their world because they were attacked by a space-faring race called the Mechasms. After venturing through space for a long time, they found a new home on Amalgamos. Yugo and his dragon brother, Adamaï, were the adventurous ones of the six, and later on, Yugo was named king of the Eliatropes by his departing brother, Chibi, the first king. Even if they never had much in terms of an actual kingdom, the position was more meant to be ceremonial. However, this made one of the other six, Qilby, extremely angry. He was also driven insane by his inability to forget his previous incarnations. In his rage, Qilby contacted one of the Mechasm, who journeyed to Amalgamos to eliminate the remainder of the Eliatropes.
Yugo and Adamaï, wounded and exhausted after an intense fight with Qilby, were killed in the attack. Still, due to the original six being granted the power of reincarnation, they were reborn inside their dragon egg (Dofus). However, the battles drained them, and it took them thousands of years to finally hatch. Their brother, the dragon Grougaloragran, recovered their Dofus with help from another of the Six, Nora, and protected it until it hatched the brothers in present-day Hyrule.
He entrusted the infant Yugo to a human named Alibert, taking Adamai with him. He also left a message for the adoptive father and a baby Tofu (bird) named Az.
Yugo, the little Eliatrope
Upon adopting Yugo, Alibert left his adventuring life behind him and settled in a small town in Hyrule, where he opened an Inn and later became mayor of the same little town. So, this is where Yugo grew up, in the care of Alibert, growing up in and around all the businesses found inside an Inn. Yugo lived a very eventful (and eventless) childhood; he was safe, well-fed, and happy. When he was old enough, he began to help his father around the Inn.
Things changed when he was 12 years old, and his powers emerged; he discovered he could use his hands to open portals, which he tried playing with and quickly became very good at using. He got to test his powers out sooner than expected when the town was attacked by a monster, a feral beast no one had seen before. They defeated the beast using Yugo's portals and others' assistance before it could cause too much damage.
Drive:
Yugo is driven by a desire to discover more about himself and have adventures. He wants to know how he fits into the world and where his mysterious powers come from. He is also a boy driven by the desire to help others and would not hesitate to do so, even if it would make his quest a little longer.
Visuals
Without his hat
Yugo is a young boy with light tan skin, dark blonde hair, and dark brown eyes. Yugo wears an orange sleeveless shirt with a yellow pocket over his blue pants, which he uses to store his Tofu, Az. He never takes off his long blue hat.
Personality
Yugo is a gentle and kind boy, pure of heart and mature for his age. He is a hot-headed optimist who never passes up a good challenge; he possesses a compassion that knows no bounds, as he always wants to lend a helping hand even when it leads to waylaying his journeys and adventures. Yugo's selfless nature protects him from being swayed by the honied and corrupting words of those who seek to use him, and he is far more perceptive than people sometimes give him credit for. Yugo can be merciful but also knows well enough when a villain's actions become unforgivable, and he can be rather creative when it comes to suitable punishment.
Yugo loves his friends and family above all else and is unwilling to allow them to come to harm if he can help it. Despite his youth, Yugo is often among the more mature group members, usually keeping a cool head in tense situations. Still, his young age does cause Yugo to give in to rash impulses more often than not.
Equipment
Abilities/Powers
Yugo is adaptive and quick-thinking. He's a fast learner, gaining control of his powers in a short amount of time.
Portal Creation
Yugo can summon portals by rotating his hand in a circular motion and throwing them where he would like a portal to appear. Yugo can use these to out-manoeuvre and confuse his opponents in battle; it allows him to shift instantly between all attack ranges. It also makes it possible for him to redirect incoming attacks, either at his foe or to avoid getting hit. Currently, he can only make two portals at any time, but with enough training, Yugo can create dozens simultaneously. The size of each portal also depends on how much concentration he puts into making it, but he quickly tires if the portals are too big without sufficient training or an outward source of power. At the moment, the distance of his portals is limited by locations he can visibly see. Still, with enough training and experimentation, he can open them between locations he doesn't see as long as he has been to them at some point in the past.
Portal Boost - Undiscovered
By rapidly forming portals successively in front of him, Yugo can achieve high-speed movement, appearing as little more than a stream of energy moving in midair.
Portal Blast - Undiscovered
An ability that creates a powerful beam of energy. This is done by overlapping two portals at once.
Wakfu Sensing - Undiscovered
Using sensing, Yugo can perceive the Wakfu (Soul) of the world around him, enabling him a sixth sense that allows him to see without his eyes by perceiving the life around him, the lifeforce of living creatures, plants, and how it shapes the environment.
Wakfu Weapons - Undiscovered
The power to form his soul energy into weapons, such as swords and shields.
Wakfu Blast - Undiscovered
The ability to create blasts of energy from the hands, which are a lot faster than the usage of his portal based beams.
Flight
The Eliatrope people have wings made from pure life energy. These wings are attached to Yugo's skull and sprout from his Cranium. The wings are bio-luminescent and turquoise, and Yugo can only fly using these when he is not wearing his hat; the wings must be exposed to function.
Cooking
Yugo has learned cooking from his adoptive father, Alibert, and is an excellent cook, often helping Alibert cook and serve meals at his Inn. He also has enough talent in cooking to grasp the principles of cooking techniques he has not seen before, being able to learn these in as little as a single day.
Physical Skills
The young Eliatrope is just that, an active boy filled with energy. He can easily perform various physical skills and activities, such as running, jumping, climbing, fighting, etc. He is not a warrior nor has any formal training in battle, but he has pure, unbridled youth, optimism, and energy.
Longevity
Like all Eliatropes, Yugo ages quite slower than most living creatures. As such, his childlike appearance will last for several years longer than it would for other people.
Semi-Immortality
As one of the original six, the first Eliatropes, Yugo is semi-immortal and can potentially live forever. He can still die, but should he physically perish, his soul returns to the dragon egg he shares with his Dragon twin brother Adamaï. This is where he would remain until he and his brother occupied their egg and recovered enough to be reborn. Yugo and Adamaï do not remember their past lives.
Roleplay Sample
Yugo glanced around at the people scurrying about to help the wounded before he turned his attention to his own hand... flexing his fingers. He flinched a little when he felt something land on his shoulder, but it was only Az, his little pet. The Tofu looked at Yugo with big eyes, and the young boy sighed.
"Something weird is going on here, Az", Yugo said, and the Tufu tilted his head to the side, before snuggling closer to Yugo's neck and letting out a few soft noises. "That thing was like- nothing I have ever seen, and we're talking in stories too. Still, we need to go check on the Inn; that thing crashed through that place, so Dad will need our help to fix it up."
Yugo turned, and threw one last glance at the spot where the creature's defeated body had been earlier, all that was left was a pile of weird black powder and a scorched crater on the ground. He had only taken a few steps when his foot hit something partly lodged into the ground; with a frown, he crouched down... and found a black metal piece.
"Look, Az", Yugo said, pulling the shard from the dirt and wiping it off against his pants. "It looks like part of that collar thing the beast was wearing. Maybe there are more pieces?" He blew on it, trying to remove more dirt. "Look, there's a symbol on it- but I think it's partly ruined- can't make it out."
"Yugo!"
"Coming, Dad!" Examining this would have to wait; he had to help his father. Still, Yugo could not help but wonder where he had seen that symbol before.
