Cahya couldn't keep the smile off her face now, normally she was pretty good at keeping a straight face and making Jupiter work to make her smile or laugh, a sort of game they played of them trying to get her to crack, but she couldn't keep her poker face on at all right now. As her new date collapsed into her arms she let out a laugh
"I don't know, that last pun was really paper thin" Cahya joked back as she stood up from the desk, lifting Jupiter up like they weighed nothing at all... which in comparison to her usual workouts that was probably accurate. "I'm surprised you've got a reservation and restaurant set up already though, the odds of getting me to take an evening off are pretty slim... wait... you haven't been making reservations that go to waste every time you've asked me to take time off and go somewhere have you?"

Much like the paper they wielded, Jupiter weighed nothing at all to Cahya. They had faith in her strength, knowing they could easily slip into their embrace without any complication. At Cahya's question, the paper hero simply rolled their eyes jokingly then hummed thoughtfully as their eyes looked to the right as they thought to themselves a bit more seriously this time around. "Mmmm yes and no. Like...oh dear... 70% of the time this has been the case. But about a good majority of that have been things that have not gone to waste with maybe once or twice...yeah, pretty wasted." they admitted. They sigh and shake off their short span of depression. "It happened, I was a bit crushed, but I got over it. it happened. I should have known better. But that's the past."
They held up their index finger then gestured to them both. "But it's the present. And this time, you agreed. So both you and I are going out for certain this time." They then smugly remarked with a raised brow. "Least now instead of being wrapped up in your work, you can get wrapped up with me...or BY me. I can work with either...or both." They shrug then fidget, keeping Cahya guessing whether or not they are joking.

"You goof, you should've told me in those cases, can't guarantee it would've changed my answer every time, but if I'd known your money was going to waste I'd have at least factored that into my decisions..." Cahya said with a sigh, feeling guilty now as they looked in hindsight at all the many times Jupiter had asked her to take time off with them. She'd never really put much weight behind her decisions... there'd always been stuff she needed to do. Looking back on it all with Jupiter's romantic intentions in mind, and the knowledge they'd been putting all this effort in... she felt really bad for never noticing before now.
Still, she'd finally caught the hint... she'd just have to make an effort to focus more on the people in her life and not her work... heh, Izara would have a field day if she knew this was what it took to get through her mother's thick skull.
"My how forward of you, making comments like that when you haven't even taken me on a first date yet" Cahya chuckled as Jupiter talked about wrapping them up "buy a girl dinner first before you try to wrap her you know."

"Least now you know my endgame." they alluded with a shimmy of their shoulders. They continued their gaze into Cahya's eyes that could almost peer into her. They could tell she had relented and come to the same realization as they. They held no hard feelings and it was the present, after all. They DID gift-wrap themselves after all at the start. The message was two-fold...and Wonder Fold. They beamed. How they LOVED their own mental wordplay.
Their eyes went toward the door they came through then shrugged a shoulder in the same direction as they realigned their gaze into Cahya's eyes. "Shall we head out then? No time like the present. Like me." they added with a smarmy grin, adding an extra adoring factor by sticking out their tongue.

"I hope you've come up with a gameplan for that endgame, with my weight there's concerns for your safety there" Cahya laughed "but yes, let's get a move on"
Cahya would carry Jupiter out of the office and set them down on the ground outside "I'll let you go get one of the cars and bring it around front. I do need to at least let a couple people know I'm heading out so they can fill in while we're enjoying ourselves. I'll meet you outside the front gate in 15 minutes tops alright? I'd come out with you right this second but this is kinda out of the blue after all" she said sheepishly. She figured this wouldn't take long to handle, but it was a bit embarrassing having to pivot back to work-adjacent stuff even a little bit right now... still she couldn't just up and leave without telling anyone.

As they were set down, they raised their arms and turned to face Cahya with a thumbs up. "I'll fetch us our steed then,oh glorious nubian queen." They bowed dramatically to Cahya and when they arose, they flicked their wrist and the gift wrap they had been wrapped in initially emerged once more. This time, it flitted about like a bird then gingerly wrapped snugly around Cahya's upper left arm, finishing itself off in a bow. Wonder Fold had taken into account of Cahya's strength and the bow seemed to be adjusting itself. It appeared quite flexible and would almost answer what their gameplan was in the future.
"Just take the time ya need. I've waited THIS long to reel you in." they winked before prancing off with a skip in their step as they made for the lot where the vehicles were kept.
They splayed their front over the sleek white sportscar they owned and rubbed their cheek lovingly against it. "Alright, girl! We finally got her to agree! it only took 27 times! Lucky number 27, haha!" they sighed sadly then shook off the blues, stood upright and took both hands and slapped themselves upon the face. "None of that, Jules! Nope! We got a date!" They slipped into the vehicle and started it up. Not moments later, they pulled right up to the front and patiently awaited the arrival of their date with a proud smile plastered on their face. Happiness really was Wonder Fold.

It would take Cahya slightly longer than expected to make all the arrangements... almost entirely because of all the teasing she had to go through about finally taking time off, and for finally FINALLY picking up on Jupiter's feelings. So she'd come out 25 minutes later instead of 15
"Sorry it took so long" Cahya said, actually a bit out of breath as she sprinted out of the gate "every. single. person. had to tease me. You'd think I'd have a bit more respect around here!"
Cahya took a few moments to catch her breath, as the screen on the gate behind her showed the face of the resident tech expert Dusty popping up and winking at them while making kissy faces, before disappearing before Cahya could turn to see it.

Jupiter had been listening to music in their vehicle by a certain up-and-coming student and just had one ended, did Cahya arrive on cue. They beamed at her arrival and quickly noticed Dusty on the screen behind Cahya. They gave a slight nod to acknowledge it before it vanished. Dusty had probably had some inkling on how they felt about Cahya or had they known the whole time? Whatever the case, they opened the door for Cahya. "I mean they're probably just happy to see you finally getting out and are excited. And maybe some of them were waiting for you to actually go out with me."
As they guided Cahya into the car, they whispered "I know I'm very happy about it." When she was settled into the car, Jupiter wasted no time in getting to the venue. It was no ritzy place nor was it a hole in the wall. Rather, it was just a simple family-owned restaurant with a few pictures of some of the heroes that had dined there within. From Chow Down to Flashfire. To even the likes of Vixen and the late Nocturne which had a few flowers beneath it. It was almost fancy enough to classify as a high-end place. But in essence, it was a humble establishment with delicious smells wafting from within.
Jupiter held up their reservation, arm and arm with Cahya. The hostess would bow to them both and showed them to their booth with all haste. "Came here with another for a change?" the hostess wondered. If Cahya noticed more of the pictured faces of justice, Wonder Fold was not among them. Yet it had been clear they'd been here many times before.
"Yeah, I actually managed to ask her out!" they laughed bashfully. They leaned upon Cahya. The hostess simply smiled and placed the menus upon the table before them before departing, giving them time to order.

Cahya sighed "well I'd appreciate if they could express that excitement in some way that doesn't involve teasing me for 10 minutes" she grumbled before getting into the car and being driven to the venue. It was a quaint little place, probably family owned... Jupiter knew her well it seemed. Cahya had a history of frequenting places like this that had good food but were less recognizable. Ritzy places came with a bunch of media hassle and holes in the wall were hit or miss on quality... but mid-sized places like this she could dodge the media coverage harassing her while she ate AND get good food.
Speaking of media though, she noticed photos of a lot of pictures of top heroes who'd eaten here it seemed... but she didn't see Jupiter "I don't see your photo anywhere, but the waitress seemed to know you... I didn't take you for being photo-shy" she commented

Jupiter laughed and held up a finger at Cahya. "Oh that? I've been asked loads of times to get my picture taken but I've always declined." They lounged back in their seat, menu in the other hand. A wistful smile played on their face as their eyes scanned through the menu they had likely seen dozens of times at this point. "It just didn't feel right to me." they'd admit with a smirk. "Something was missing, ya know? My name is synonymous with paper and yet the only article of paper to have my face on it lies in my wallet."
It was a quiet place, the clinking of washing dishes heard from the kitchen in the back. The murmurs of the other patrons who were minding their own business or paying their respects. Then Jupiter put down their menu and gave Cahya a very sincere look that felt like it came from the more vulnerable side of them. "You. You were missing. I kinda wanted to get a picture taken with you in it. With me. Erm...yeah. That was my reasoning." They chuckled and sighed as their eyes fell upon the image of the late hero. "I...anyone really, doesn't know when a moment will be their last. And a wise old man once told me that the only regrets you have in life are the risks you didn't take."
They took a moment to drink in the atmosphere, most of it solely just Cahya sitting there being herself.

Cahya pondered Jupiter's answer there. It was a bit odd that the only paper that had their image on it was the license in their wallet. The way they said it too seemed... off. Was there something there she wasn't aware of? The two of them were close and all, but perhaps there was some sort of insecurity there.
Jupiter's stated reason for it assuaged her concern a bit though. It was a silly reason, but it sounded sincere enough. She also glanced to the image of Nocturne, her mood faltering a bit. That had been a shock, she didn't work that closely with the man too often, at least not any more than any other top hero, but she knew he was strong. For him to have died and the culprit to be unknown was sobering. And She'd felt the effects almost immediately as the branch in his city had to increase security massively to deal with the surge in Yakuza activity... the Yakuza probably weren't dumb enough to attack the branch and provoke the whole of the Bear Den into coming down on their heads... but the ripple effects were being felt for sure.
"We'll get that photo today then." she said "one photo on the wall that'll never need any flowers. After all I'm pretty sure even if I was killed I'd still get back up and keep working."
It wasn't something she thought about much, with her quirk, death on the job wasn't really a concern for her, not seriously. It would take a lot to do damage to her that would even threaten her, let alone actually kill her... but now that the topic was on her mind she thought about Jupiter, how would she feel if they... no, the thought was chased from her mind immediately. This was a happy day for them, she wasn't about to let hypotheticals dampen her mood.
