General Information
Name: Pinella Santa
Identity: P
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Date of Birth: January 26
Place of Origin: Hosu City Japan
Occupation:
Student - 1-A
Faction:
UA
Team Confidence
Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance: A pink-haired young woman standing at 5'4 and with an athletic build and medium bust. Side effects of being experimented on when younger led to some pointier than normal ears, and an incredibly durable body. Her eyes are a piercing red though white in the center of her pupils, making them very hard to forget. Having been trained in combat, she has a solid core and toned limbs. With cat like reflexes, she can carry quite a bit of weight, though it's mainly due to having dealt with combat since a little tike.
Civilian Clothes: She'll often where a black turtle neck shirt. On top of that is typically a coat with a furry hoodie or a long, hooded black raincoat. For bottoms, she likes olive green shorts or pants with long back socks and boots. There are other times when she'll wear a more colorful raincoat with white boots. She in most cases will have her hood up regardless of what kind of jacket it is.
Hero Outfit: N/A. Whatever she's got on in that particular moment.
Equipment
Her phone- It's loaded with scanners, and jammers, despite looking like a regular cellular device.
Blast Knives and Bombas- Knives and small black bombs that are actually made from her gunpowder quirk. She hides them on her person, and they don't show up on the school metal detectors. Since the knives and bombas are more densely packed into a strong solid, they actually are more akin to a high grade firework. The knives themselves are of the throwing sort and only 3 inches long, whilst the bombas are just slightly bigger than a marble.
Personality
Bad Habits:
Planning too far ahead
A bit delusional.
Goal: She exists for the next generation of team confidence.
General Personality: Pinella is a warped individual. She may seem like a normal girl, but there are things that sincerely don't phase her. Things like killing, or theft are about as natural as killing a bug or picking fruit off a random tree, they are things that are to be done with minimal effort. Like her father, she is incredibly intelligent but falls short compared to her adopted sister, Kaytee. She often will walk her way into the future with visions and scenarios of how things will play out. As long as something matches her mental simulations, she is very hard to surprise. And like her mother, she's got a knack for getting into people's heads. She takes a great deal of care in getting to know people. Knowing people is only half the battle.
As far as being friends goes, Pinella is a calm and easy going friend. She takes her times, and carefully looks to help who she can. She can read into things and ascertain plenty by reading facial expressions and body language. With a mother who once was a psychologist, she takes many of those teachings into practice, and aims to be a reliable source and confidant. The odd part is while she is acting and lying to people, she sincerely gets attached and maybe this is why she fools people so easily. Having a delusional nature and self image can often times be confusing to witness from the outside, but for someone who's constantly been pushed to brink to become a high level villain... well... it just means she's too invested. She'll likely mature out of it soon and understand creating boundaries for herself.
Personal Life
Mother: Pinella Santa aka Pill (Team Confidence, Quirk: Pill)
Father: Kunimi Dorikawa aka KK (Team Confidence Leader, Quirk: None)
Siblings:
Adopted Sister, Kaytee Rays-Dorikawa aka KK (Adopted daughter of KK, and proxy for when he is away, Quirk: Bluetooth)
Deceased Pinella Santa Mk 1(Deceased Twin Quirk: Stone)
Extended family: N/A
History:
Pinella found herself staring at the floor. It felt as though he was cursing her just for existing. Well, this wasn't necessarily a place for love. It held a family vibe for villain standards, but for his daughters, this was a place for results. Her sister, Kaytee had already proven to have a similiar IQ to Kunimi himself, though being adopted. Pill had the medical prowess and chemistry skills to provide endless possibilities with her quirk. Even the likes of November and Chihiro were treated with great respect. Meanwhile Pinella was kept as a secret until just recently. She was a good criminal, but what Kunimi wanted was a great VILLAIN.
"I've taught you far more than you were prepared for but I've come up with something that even you can't screw up, daughter. Hmm~hmmm." He smirked. Kaytee who was linked to him with her quirk actually began to smile too. "Oooooh. Hmmm~hmmm, yeah you're right. She's an excellent actress and liar." She chimed mimicking his satisfied hum. KK shoved his hand into a bag of potato chips before stuffing his face. "You'll get your fair shot at villainy. Maybe I'm just not a good teacher for you. Your the type to adapt on your own, I know that much."
Unexpectedly, Pill would chime in, "She's like her mother. I march to my own beat, and so does she. You're just too strict." It was the only coherent thing the woman had said in the past hour. Honestly, it caused the room to pause for a moment. Kunimi would nod. "We're disowning you. Rather, I want you to keep as minimal contact with us as possible. I've already placed my bets on the next generation. You, Kaytee, November, Scorn, even some of the newer recruits like Vox, Beekeeper and Rat King. That being said, in order for you carry your weight, I need you to be my hero, and infiltrate hero society. You'll be our key into gathering intel and destroying hero society from the inside! Matter of fact, stay on that end as long as you can, as well as you can. If anything happens, coming to us is an easy task."
He'd spread his arms wide. "So go my daughter, ADAPT. You're to forge your own brand of villainy, and make us proud. I only push for result so hard, because there's a margin of error that we operate in. More precisely, we need to trust you. Trust turns into confidence, and confidence in a villain can make the impossible, possible. All you need is an idea, and a will to manifest it. Have confidence in us, and we'll bring the results you need as long as you bring the results WE need."
It was oddly inspiring, when he broke it down so simply. Understood, she was only failing because she was incompatible with her father's teachings. It didn't mean she was a failure, she just needed a new teacher. In this case though... this was a whole new hero academia.
"Now, I tugged some strings from an old friend. Your an orphan from Osaka, and the NJPD group worked with you as a candidate from their program. Meaning, none of your academics matter since you never got the chance to get a formal education. What truly matters are your test scores and entrance exam scores. " Kunimi explained. He eyed her. This was a big task to give, but he had confidence in her. Despite all his griping, he knew she was capable in her own way and that he'd have to purely keep confidence in her as he did with the rest of the faction. Still, he stared. The two sat in silence in that black car. It felt like forever, but for some reason it was a lot more comfortable than any other time she was around him. Typically, he had her on edge. This time... he felt like a father.
Even when she was just about to leave the car, he pulled her in for a deep hug. "I believe in you. Your mother and I love you very much. "
As rare as it was for her to speak around him, she hugged him back, "Love you guys, too. I won't disappoint you!"
After some rather boring written exams, P found herself in the hero exam. It was a course littered with robos ready to pounce on her. Unlike many of her classmates, she ran! She'd corrals a group of robos into an alley, and leap onto a fire escape for some height advantage. Before the robos could organize to stack up on one another, they would be hit with the pitter patter of tiny black snow flakes. They'd be unlucky in finding out this was gun powder readying to be lit with her ignition. In a devastating myriad of tiny explosions, Pinella would find herself in pretty good shape to get accepted. Until she realized there was a collapsed student in the mix of downed robot bodies. She'd dig the kid out, and bring him to an instructor with a disappointed expression.
"I failed didn't I? I was so caught up in beating those robots, I hadn't realized he was in the mix trying to score his own points..." She explained. The teacher would rest a hand on her shoulder and tell her that, they'd be in contact with her in a few days. She cursed under her breath. What a blunder! Luckily, she'd find herself provisionally accepted when the kid gave a personal account of how quickly she came to his aid. Maybe she was a hero after all. Regardless, she was IN and she could begin the mission of a lifetime.
Quirk
Name:
La Bomba
Quirk Type: Emitter
Power: The user is able to emit a highly flammable and toxic black gun powder from their person and manipulate it to their will. In most cases, she will try and make small constructs or typical explosives. In more dire cases, she will exert as much powder as possible, and attempt to detonate. A strong tell that she is about to detonate her powder is if her eyes softly glow. Breathing in the powder will often cause a violent coughing fit, or asthma-like breathlessness. Over consumption through inhaling can cause someone to feel faint.
Supermoves:
Gun Man- A strike or volley of strikes with a explosive pop when they connect, much like a gunshot or tiny bomb. While this is a method for hand to hand combat, the primary use is as the name sounds, she can shoot projectiles like a gun can shoot bullets.
Stealth Bomba- A smudge that she will inflict by any means. When her enemy least expects it, a delayed or remote BOOM.
Snow Bomba- Creating a snowfall effect, Pinella will ignite the powder to litter an enemy with relentless tiny rupturing explosions.
Rocket Jump- a self denotation to boost her momentum to either crash into someone, or to just simply jump higher and traverse the air for short periods.
Constructs- Based on size and ease of use, her go to construct is often hands that she can control to claw, smother, or grab at someone without risking getting close (range of 20 meters before the powder just falls to the ground). They also offer a great deal of utility. And of course, guess what?!?!? These can go boom, too. Other times she will make weapons for herself, or use detonation traps or spike traps. From time to time, she may even make something clever and small like a bug or bird.
Firework- By creating an unstable array in her hand, P will slam a disgustingly powerful explosive palm strike or unleash the array forward with an explosive smoke trail behind it for a trace explosive. It looks like a pink fire work but has comparable fire power to c4 charge.
Land's End - A construct that typically can take quite some time (a post or two) to create. Whether it be a torrent of gunpowder, or a larger construct... regardless this is a much bigger and heartier explosion than all others.
Drawbacks:
Water and wet environments- she is complete useless in these situations. You may as well just call her a civilian if she's stuck in the rain or ocean.
Ignition- Ignites are indescriminate. While she is slightly resistant that doesn't mean her allies are... It also is hectic to deal with in cramp spaces. Overuse can lead to light burns and trembling/numbness due to the constant blowback she deals with.
Range- 0-30 meters. She cannot detonate anything out of her range. Powder that has left her range just becomes useless black powder until it comes back into her range.
Constructs- since it's a powder she controls. Large constructs actually take a really long time to harden and refine for detonation. This is why she prefers just make small things like hands.
Fighting Style:
Being a born and raised criminal has pushed Pinella to fight like a well trained adult already. For specific case, she's the daughter of a tactician and a psycho... This leads for her to follow an unorthodox way of thinking and planning. She certainly doesn't fight fair, and will use any and all weakness to extort her enemy into submitting. With such a bombastic quirk, she can power her way through many situations with a bang! But she's quite reserved with it's usage. This is her fathers teachings coming into play. She'll often feign as if her quirk only works one way, then surprise a foe with more tricks as the fight goes on. There are other times when she understands instinct needs to take over, and she will have to go all out. Coming from a background where killing was totally okay, she sometimes struggles with knowing when to stop...
As a spectator, her methods don't really seem all that heroic at times. Sometimes it can seem oppressive and manipulative. Regardless, the "super hero" P will come and save the day... maybe.

"So so so so so disappointing." The man paced in front of his daughter. Her mother mused to herself as she was high as a kite off of her own quirk, and her sister looked away. There was clear discomfort but she couldn't speak up in this situation. Pinella looked at her father with teary eyes. "My own flesh and blood," He started up again. "Average IQ, and I was hoping Pill's quirk lineage would land you something more useful... you can BUY bombs anywhere. That's literal child's play. We were blowing things up back in highschool."Pinella found herself staring at the floor. It felt as though he was cursing her just for existing. Well, this wasn't necessarily a place for love.
