Name: Akoto Uehara

Gender: Female
Age: 34
Date of Birth: May 16th
Place of Origin: Yokohama, Japan
Occupation: Teacher, Class 3-B
Faction: U.A. High
Appearance
Visual Appearance:
Physical Appearance:
Akoto is a woman of average height, about 5 feet and 8 inches, with an average build. She doesn’t at all look as though she might be able to bench press you (in hero mode at least). Akoto sports very long and thick blonde hair, ending somewhere around the shoulder blade area (she’s always looking to keep growing it, too) Her eyes are a lovely spring green, with a warm feeling to them, the kind that speaks of boundless care and empathy. Akoto has done her best to show her deepest kindness so that her altered form is less frightening to civilians.
On her upper back, between her shoulders, is a large traditional style tattoo of an Oni mask, which expands out over her shoulders and upper arms with a sakura motif over a blacked out background.
Civilian Clothes: (What you wear on a day-to-day basis when you are not working)
Personality
Bad Habits: Though she has learned a lot of management techniques, Akoto has an explosive temper that will often lead to violence if not quelled.
Goal: To help teach proper, and responsible, Quirk control.
General Personality: Akoto is known for being a level headed woman who tries to reason her way through many problems. As a teacher she tries to be very fair and understanding with her students, and colleagues. However, this is after many years of discipline to make her once very short fuse, longer. In reality she is constantly quelling a fire inside that wants to grow and burn everything. This rage is kept under control until she needs to let the demon out, something that is still kept in a certain level of control so as to not cause excessive damage or harm. What kind of hero would she be otherwise?
Over most everything else though, she is a protective soul who wants to defend her students from harm or undue strife. This extends to defending them from themselves as well, not all quirks are safe for the user or people around them right out the gate, a lesson she knows very well. Teaching her students to control their power and use those powers for the betterment of the world around them is the heart of who Akoto is, those who would harm her students will quickly find the terrifying wrath of an Oni.
Due to the fearsome appearance of her transformation, Akoto has learned to keep the rage as quiet, placid, as she possibly can. The quiet rage of Queen Yama inspires fear in her foes, and hopefully assurance in civilians she's saving.
Personal Life
Mother: Hayami Uehara, Alive.
Quirk: Itako- A quirk that allows the user to summon spirits for a variety of uses in combat, support, or rescue.
Father: Daichi Uehara, Alive.
Quirk: Hot Headed- A quirk which turns strong emotion into heat that can be turned into fire from the user’s extremities.
Siblings: None.
History:
As a young girl there was little sign of how her quirk would work beyond the radiating heat that would occur when she got upset, everyone figured that the rosy tint that her face took on was just a part of that, none of them could see the tiny horns on her forehead through her hair. It wasn't until she was almost 12 that she fully transformed for the first time, the kanabo appearing and almost crushing the dinner table in the midst of a fit because of homework was rather surprising, as was the crimson hue of her skin, the stark white hair, and the much more visible horns. The transformation only lasted a minute or so, the surprise of it nearly kicking her out of it immediately. This was a proud and scary moment for Akoto, one that would stick in her mind for the rest of her life, the lack of control in herself was a flaw that she despised, it frustrated her to no end, often being a catalyst for further anger and more than a few accidental transformations.
By the time she was ready to choose her high school, she knew she wanted to be a hero in training at U.A. High. She was also already well known by her peers for her temper, and destructive quirk, making her somewhat outcast. This only made her more determined to become a real hero.
(At this age her Oni form was much different; shorter stature, less muscle mass, shorter horns and hair, even the kanabo was smaller, and the clothes were all of black cloth.)
When she took her entrance exam, Akoto blew the competition away when it came to combat scores, however she took some negative marks due to the damage done to the “city”. While she was ranked pretty high overall, the negative marks weighed on her more than her success made her proud, the acceptance letter wasn't a surprise, but she almost seemed begrudging about it. Akoto knew she could do better than she had. More training, more control. Pushing beyond the limits holding her back.
It took her a while to open up to her classmates, seemingly expecting the rejection that she had received from her previous school. It was likely this solitude that caused her to spiral downward, that flaming temper getting worse and worse, reflected in the worsening performance in hero courses, snapping at her classmates for little to no reason. It was after the first test they had before break that her teacher had her meet after class, Akoto was sure that she was being booted from the school. She couldn't have been more wrong, when she arrived to find that her teacher was there with a newly minted pro hero by the name of Flashfire, a UA alum
Quirk
Name: Oni's Curse
Quirk Type: Transformer
Power: Akoto has the ability to transform into an Oni, gaining supernatural strength and durability, as well as immunity to flame and heat. When she takes this transformation she may also summon a powerful kanabo.
Over the years she has attained the ability to do partial transformations as well, letting her do bursts of strength without heating up too much. This is usually used to hit hard, or gain a burst of speed from her legs.
Her other more advanced ability that she acquired, is the power to turn the immense heat she builds up into flames. In the Oni form she is immune to the heat, and burns she may sustain, however it does put a strain on her normal human form (see drawbacks). Creating flames helps sustain the Oni form longer however, as it expels much of the internal heat that harms her more fragile form.
When Akoto transforms there is a wave of intense heat that pushes out from her, making waves in the air around her. There is a quick flash of light, and the transformation is completed. The severity of the heat can vary depending on her mood, though she can focus her mind to control the temperature.
Supermoves:
Raijin Strike: Using the kanabo, Akoto swings the great club down and slams it into the ground to create a massive shockwave that emanates for 20' in all directions. This shockwave can knock down or even push back most full grown adults, as well as causing temporary hearing loss from the thunderous sound.
Fujin Charge: While her speed is only as enhanced as her leg strength allows, she is able to do a singular burst in a straight line at incredible speeds, often pulling unattended objects from their place with the rush of wind that follows. However she must have enough room to stop, or hit something that can stop her momentum.
Kaji Breath: Internalizing the heat from her quirk and building it up in her throat, Akoto can expel it as a gout of flame from her mouth. At the highest heat she has been able to melt glass. This move is extremely useful for letting her continue her transformed state for longer periods of time.
Hi-Strike: Akoto channels her heat to one of her limbs, turning the heat into powerful flames for a single blazing strike. When channeled to her hands, she can douse the kanabo in oil for a longer lasting flame attack.
Drawbacks: The Oni form produces massive amounts of heat that she cannot feel while in the form. The more strength used, the more heat is produced, when she returns to her normal form she will often be subject to fevers of over 100 degrees, causing; extreme weakness, nausea, muscle aches and cramps, as well as extreme disorientation.

Hero Outfit:
Her hero outfit is basically her quirk since she’s a transformation type. In her hero form she becomes a terrifying Oni! She grows to almost twice her normal height, becoming a 10ft tall beast with dark red skin and rippling muscle. She has pure white hair that nearly touches the ground even when tied back, except for the two braids dipped in ink that frame either side of her face. The Oni’s eyes are pitch black, with glowing yellow irises, her left eye scarred vertically down the middle from some past battle, and she sports a third eye in the center of her forehead. The third eye isn’t the only new addition to her Oni form, Akoto also gains a pair of wicked sharp horns that protrude from the top of her head, and spike-like growths from her shoulders and elbows, and her canines all sprout outward as vicious looking fangs just protruding outside of her mouth.
Across Akoto’s skin in the Oni form are many scars that do not exist in her human form; around her forearms, across her thigh, at the front and back of her midsection, the list goes on.
Upon transforming, her clothing takes a new form; a tiger pelt wrapped around her waist that is tied with a red ribbon. The pelt is layered over top of tattered wide legged black pants called hakama. Around her chest she wears a tightly bound white cloth. Finally, she sports a smaller piece of tiger pelt that is cut to a bandana sized for her, usually worn around her left arm.
