General Information
Name: Ron Stoppable
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Role: Linked
Origin World: Humanity's Haven
Age: 14
History:
Ron was always a bit of a goofy kid who nevertheless, despite his many insecurities, had a great heart--the day he met Kim Possible on the first day of preschool, he stood up for her against bullies--and when they turned on him she helped him right back, and ever since that day, they've done almost everything together. School and classes, getting their first computers, and cheerleading (Ron joined as the school's Mascot, the Mad Dog, with a mask he made himself).
Even when Kim's new website, intended to be an ad for helping people out with day to day things, accidently led to her doing her first mission as a hero, he was there to help, in fact being the one to let her know there had been a hit on the website, an eccentric wealthy man having accidently locked himself and his security advisor in a vault protecting his collection of rare cuddle buddy plushies. The advisor had meant to call for someone else, Team Impossible, but got her website instead. Ron was the one to encourage her when she initially doubted this was something she could handle, reminding her that her website had advertised that she could do anything (and so she had to stay true to advertising!), even helping her get inside by having his new pet Rufus, the naked mole rat, open the locked gates for them.
One of the few times, in fact, that he did not do things together with Kim, was when his parents sent him to camp Wannaweep for the summer--the place was awful and he called them almost daily asking them to bring him back home, to the point his mother one day started refusing his calls. Unsurprisingly, given the terrible conditions at the camp--being bullied daily, a lake that was obviously polluted with no one else even trying to acknowledge that fact, the buildings being in disrepair, and being forced to share an insect-infested cabin with a hyperactive chimpanzee that was the camp's mascot--Ron came away from the experience with lots of mental trauma and fears that he has only now started working through...slowly.
And yet despite those fears he has braved every danger to stand by his best friend's side on nearly every mission, even when sick, having to face her life when they switched bodies, or facing, ugh, monkeys. He's helped her confront numerous foes such as Duff Killigan, DNAmy, Professor Dementor, the wealthy duo of Senior Senior Senior and his son Senior Senior Junior (even if he accidently had a hand in turning them to villainy--oops!), Doctor Drakken and Shego, and even a couple of his own personal foes, including Ron's most dreaded nemesis, Lord Monty Fiske, or as he is better known, Monkey Fist. Often his help comes in the form of sheer dumb luck--and at the cost of his pants and dignity, often enough he's started to resign himself to it, most of the time.
It was, however, on one of the few missions where Ron and Kim were fighting (over his desire to join the cheer squad--hey, he needed the extracurriculars!) that his world got...a bit bigger. Ron had a need to prove himself, two scientists had gone missing, kidnapped by killer robots called Bebes, and he had discovered that Kim's father was the next target. But he was not the only one there to prove themselves. A young keyblade wielder was hunting something, and they bumped into each other, literally, Ron skidding as he tried, and failed, to avoid a bicycle collision with the young man that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
After they had picked themselves up, Ron introducing himself and the new boy introducing himself in turn as Harper, they quickly decided, they could help each other--if he helped Ron hold off the robots while Ron disguised himself, Ron would help Harper find the thing they were looking for (something called a...Devoid? Ron scratched his head but agreed anyway), because the other boy was quite sure his target was nearby, and who better to help him find something out of place than a local?
The plan went off without a hitch--the Bebe robots were kept at bay long enough for Ron to switch places with Doctor Possible, and they kidnapped him instead, never even noticing the switch or that the fight had been staged--until Ron revealed himself to a gloating Doctor Drakken who had thought until now that he had caught all of his former friends. Understandably, Drakken was put out about this mistake, having hatched this scheme over an old college grudge, and they argued back and forth for a while, and in the process of the argument, Ron managed to trick the Bebes into turning on Doctor Drakken, only stopped from escalating when they turned to attack a newly arrived Kim Possible, and Doctor Possible attempted to stop them with a sonic device he'd made out of Kim's communicator.
Needless to say, the fight was successful, the robots scrapped, and the scientists (and Ron) freed by the end of the fight, but still no sign of the thing his new friend had been hunting, and though Ron had caught sight of a couple of mysterious, shadowy figures in the background, he thought it was his mind playing tricks on him, In the ensuing cleanup, the Possibles saw Doctor Draken off to the police, while Harper appeared quietly inside to consult with Ron about where the Devoid could be. Only at the last moment did Ron, with the help of Rufus, spot the fragments of robots pulling themselves together into a larger amalgamation, and the weird, otherworldly light and energy infusing them as he pushed Harper back out of the way, both of them only narrowly avoiding being crushed under a giant metallic fist.
Cue another fight, Ron spurred on by the urgency that Harper had instilled in him, that for now, at least, no one else know he was there, and so Ron did his best to keep the robot inside the building, serving as the agile distraction while Harper attacked it with a weird blade and what Ron could only describe as magic. In the last moment, the amalgamation was brought back down into pieces once more, when Ron's pants, which had gotten lost in the scuffle, tripped it up, allowing Harper an opportunity to lunge in and stab the things that had inhabited it before they could get away, and picking up their pieces.
There was only a few moments with them exchanging a triumphant grin, a 'booyah,' and then Harper was gone, and Ron was pulling his pants on again as Kim rushed inside, having heard the clatter. Ron simply said that the Bebes had tried one last thing, but couldn't seem to pull themselves together for it grinning at his own joke as Kim rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help a small chuckle as they left, and later that night, made up again, Kim deciding to support him in becoming the mascot.
To everyone's surprise, Kim's most of all, the crowd loved it. But on Ron's mind, was the visitor from another world. He kinda hoped he would be able to help Harper again, and others like him, perhaps, considering he knew, now, that there were far more problems out there than mad scientists and killer robots...or the mutant Gill that came from the polluted waters of camp Wannaweep a little later--or even the monkey ninjas he had to force himself to face again. Through it all he was left wondering when someone else would show up needing his help specifically--because if one person could come from another world, so could another just as easily. The universe was a lot bigger than he'd ever realized before.
Appearance
Image:
In everyday Clothes
Clothing/Armor: In his day to day life Ron typically sports light brown cargo pants (the pockets are a good place for Rufus to hang out in), white sneakers, and a short-sleeved red jersey over a blue, long-sleeve mock-turtleneck. Often, even when not at school, he'll have a brown backpack slung over his shoulders, too, in which Rufus will sometimes hang when not in Ron's pockets. He does wear other things from time to time, but this is what he most often wears, and whatever he's wearing at the time, even if it's the mission outfit, he wears boxers underneath.
Speaking of the mission clothes, he wears these on pretty much every mission, and they are similar to his standard clothes albeit with different coloring. Black shirt, grey cargo pants, grey shoes, though he forgoes the jersey, instead wearing gloves the same color as his shoes, and a brown utility belt. The same backpack he wears in his everyday life, is often there even on missions.
Weapon(s): Ron and Kim are teenagers--who would trust them with weapons? Even if they do save the world (Earth)on occasion frequently...
Misc. :
Grapple Gun: It's perfectly functional, though frequently when using it Ron loses his pants instead of being pulled up to the target.
Scooter: How Ron usually gets around town when he doesn't feel like walking. Normally it's not very fast...
Pager: How Wade and/or Kim alert Ron to get ready for a mission.
Microchip: Wade has put a microchip in Ron to allow him to be tracked if he should somehow lose his pager. Ron is not aware of this.
Assorted Mission Gear: Wade usually sees to it that Kim and Ron have any mission-specific gear they need--snowboards for the tundra or mountains, parachutes if they have to skydive, scuba gear for underwater missions, etc. But for now, Ron has nothing else specific he brings along with him on every mission--unless you count his pet Rufus as gear.
Personality
General Personality:
Ron tends to, most of the time, be pretty cheerful and laid-back (even to the point of laziness), not caring how their peers see him, and often cautions Kim that she cares too much about what others think of her--in fact, he finds it difficult to understand how she so often feels pressured by their peers to do things when most of the time he could care less about peer pressure, the exception being when he's trying to improve his image to get a girl's attention--not that this usually lasts long as he realizes it would take time away that he could be spending with Kim.
He tends mostly to do things that interest him regardless of what others will think of those things, or occasionally get fixated on the most random ideas, to the point he can sometimes fall into the trap of conspiracy theorizing about what their enemies are up to, and it can be difficult to get those ideas and theories out of his head even when confronted with evidence there may be something else going on. Even when not taken to that extreme, he can fixate on things about himself or his legacy being upheld properly, or his image when Kim herself questions it.
Underneath the cheerful exterior, however, he tends to suffer from self-confidence issues, especially when contrasted with Kim's outstanding performance in almost anything she tries to do, and so on those occasions when he does get a confidence boost, his tendency to fixate often leads him to overcompensate with arrogant and dismissive behavior even toward those he cares about.
Despite his laziness and seeming inability to grasp basic concepts at school, sometimes Ron displays what seems uncharacteristically advanced vocabulary, or be more observant than one would expect--again the laziness and lack of focus kicking in, as well as having low expectations for himself after so long trying so hard to fit in but failing due to social awkwardness or low expectations from his own parents.
Dangerous situations often tend to trigger frightened behavior, and yet, he courageously wills himself to keep going on missions with Kim anyway, not wanting her to face the world alone--even if it means his pants get lost more often or Kim has to rescue him from his own mishaps on a frequent basis.
In short, Ron can be a mess of contradictions, but despite all his flaws, he still does his best when it really counts, and doesn't judge people for what they like, be it athleticism or reading, cheerleading or geeky games.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes:
Dreams/Goals: Underneath it all, Ron wants to be recognized, appreciated for something worthwhile, not just as Kim's sidekick, but as her partner--and hopefully on his own merit, rather than from being in her shadow. He wants to be able to prove he can do things himself--he just has a hard time believing he can...
Abilities
Skills: List any special talents your character might have that aren’t spells i.e. transformation, extra strength, woodworking
Agility and Athleticism: While he is often clumsy, when he has to get down and focus with something serious on the line, Ron has displayed a remarkable ability to master the talents he needs to get a mission done--without Kim.
Animal Empathy: Ron seems to have an uncanny ability to communicate with animals and understand their wants and needs--at least when he's not running away from them screaming in fear like he does with monkeys.
Arts and Crafts: Creativity was Ron's only escape from all the horribleness at Camp Wannaweep, so he dived headfirst into it, trading his swim time to Gil Moss (who later mutated into the amphibious Gill from all the time in the polluted lake) for more arts and crafts time.
Cooking: Ron was kind of forced to make his own food from a young age due to his parents being busy so often that he was frequently left to his own devices. Not only has he found himself enjoying it now, he's quite proud of this skill and has been complimented on it by people he actually cares about. He even invented the Naco, a nacho/taco hybrid, in his time working at Beuno Nacho.
Intelligence: This ability does not often come out, due to his low self-expectations and general laziness. But when pressed, or when his inhibitions are removed, it can shine, pushing him to heights of mechanical or tactical genius, as a natural extension of his creativity with arts and crafts.
Mystical Monkey Power: After being exposed to the energy of four jade monkey statues placed symmetrically by Lord Monty Fiske, Ron briefly became a master of Tai Shing Pek Kwar, or Monkey Kung-Fu. Despite his fear of monkeys, he had to, to get out alive. He thought the power was destroyed along with the statues, but within him the power now lurks, dormant, ready to give him bursts of crazy physical strength, and the ability to once again channel the power of Tai Shing Pek Kwar, if he can only muster the belief, the will, or the confidence to do so. At full power, there's no telling what feats he could pull off, able to manipulate his Chi to enhance his strikes, even cause environmental effects that would levitate objects in his vicinity. If only he could get over his fear of monkeys and his lack of self-confidence. At least for now, he seems to be able to, sometimes, fend off opponents who are theoretically far more capable of fighting than he, when the need arises, and take far more punishment than the average human should probably be able to.
Resilience: Even before being exposed to the mystical monkey power, Ron has shown himself to be quite resilient to mishaps and injuries, rarely being seriously injured even when thrown against or through walls, or blasted by Shego's plasma.
The Ron Factor: Ron himself is not aware of this, but more than one covert organization is currently studying him from afar, theorizing that the random mishaps that occasionally end up being what beats a criminal's latest scheme, and that without it, and Ron himself, Kim would not be nearly so successful.
Magic: Magic? Ron has so many other things to master first before he can study magic. Like how to not keep losing his pants on missions...
Bond Information
Friends/Allies:
Kim Possible
Ron's lifelong best friend. They do almost everything together. School, sports, missions. Ron even spends major holidays over at her house instead of at his own. He's often trying to get her to chill and stop fretting as much over the latest fads or what their peers think of them, or relax when she lets her competitive nature get the best of her. In turn, she tries to motivate him to participate in things more, or tries to soften his enthusiasm when he gets seemingly too fixated on something. In short, while they have their squabbles like any pair of friends, ultimately both attempt to be good influences on the other, and are there to support each other through thick and thin (outside of the occasional fight that never lasts too long if she can't deter a fixation or he can't pull her back from being overcompetitive). Some pf their friends and family even speculate that given time they may become a couple, though both of them tend to say they prefer just being friends--perhaps these denials are a little more strenuous than needed...
The Impossible Family
Not just Kim, but her family, regard Ron in a positive light. Her parents welcome him as a frequent guest at their house, occasionally giving him the kind of parental advice he wishes his own parents would care about to give him more of, and her geeky cousin Larry has actually helped them directly on one mission so far, as have her younger twin brothers sometimes (even if Kim consistently gets annoyed by the 'tweebs' as she calls them).
Rufus
Ron's first and only ever pet, a naked mole rat (because he needed a hairless pet to avoid triggering his father's allergies, if he wanted to get a pet at all). Rufus is implied to be genetically modified, as he was fairly intelligent from the start, capable of communicating meaningfully through pantomime and the occasional spoken word (if you listen carefully past his clicks and squeaks), and perfectly understanding human speech. He is much more observant than Ron (And sometimes Kim too), not to mention, he was also exposed to the Jade Monkeys, being in Ron's pocket at the time, and thus took down Monkey Fist's retainer on his own while Ron was fighting Monkey Fist himself. Needless to say, he also has dormant Mystical Monkey Power, and though he has less issues using it, displaying feats of strength and durability no normal naked mole rat could pull off, he does not have the same potential as Ron in this regard. He has proven useful on missions many times, being able to get into tight spaces and chew on wires, hit buttons, etc, to help them get into places or solve problems that Ron and Kim can't because they are too big to fit or too noticeable to get away with doing it before the villain can try to stop them. Bonus--he can be as paranoid as Ron (but is more willing to accept the truth when proven wrong), and loves Bueno Nacho's food as much as Ron does, particularly Ron's creation, the Naco!
Wade
The tech guy for Kim and Ron. Wade may be the youngest human member of Team Possible at only ten years old, but he is a genius who has already graduated high school and obtained his college degree within 8 months. He doesn't appear in person often, almost always communicating through the Kimmunicator he invented especially for Kim (which includes several nifty features aside from being a communicator). Occasionally, he does communicate 'in person'; via holographic projection. He is the one that makes sure they are properly equipped for missions, either with standard equipment or occasionally inventing new gadgets for them to use, and he is also usually the one who arranges for their transportation when they need to go anywhere outside of the tri-city area. And he does that all from his room, which he almost never leaves except when dire emergencies force him out.
Monique
One of Kim and Ron's more normal friends who has little to nothing to do with any of their mission work. While initially Ron was mistrustful of Monique due to her new budding friendship with Kim taking his own time with Kim away, before long Ron realized he and Monique shared a couple of common interests, particularly in professional wrestling and Bueno Nacho's food, allowing them to bond and become friends themselves. He may annoy and disgust her sometimes, but being a friend of both Ron and Kim allows her to sometimes be a bridge between them when they are fighting.
Mr. Steve Barkin
A strongly opinionated substitute teacher at Middleton High School who is capable of substituting in a wide variety of subjects, a man Ron regards as a mentor and whose advice he consistently listens to, even if the advice can often be...questionable. Maybe it's because Mr. Barkin actually acknowledges when Ron manages to do something well.
Mr. Stoppable
Despite Ron's less than stellar relationship with his parents (his mother is strict, controlling, and Ron is almost certain she would have preferred a girl instead of the boy she got with him), his father does seem to want to be more a part of Ron's life to make up for his mistakes in the past, ready to dispense helpful advice, if Ron should wish it.
Perry the Platypus
While Ron and Kim were hunting for Drakken who had 'unexpectedly' teamed up with someone new (at least to them) called Doctor Doofenshmirtz, they 5hemselves teamed up with the mysterious Perry to stop their respective foes together. Perry did not say much, or anything really, but he and Ron managed to come to some kind of understanding anyway, and Ron refuses to elaborate any further on that to anyone, not even Kim, no matter how curious about it she gets.
Rivals/Enemies:
Monkeys (and apes)
Ron's first and greatest fear, stemming from his time at camp Wannaweep and an unwillingness to distinguish apes from monkeys.
Lord Monty Fiske (aka Monkey Fist)
Ron's archnemesis, and one of only two villains who consistently remembers his full name. Ron took an instant dislike of him on first sight because the man liked monkeys, and was after a jade monkey statue...and it turned out his mistrust was warranted, as Monkey fist proved obsessed with mystical monkey power, and monkeys in general, even modifying his own body with surgery and genetic manipulation to give himself more monkey-like limbs, hands, and feet. After their first encounter, he has now built up an army of monkey ninjas as minions.
Gil Moss (Aka Gill)
One of Ron's most consistent bullies at Camp Wannaweep, Gil traded with Ron for more swim time--and as a result was muted into an amphibious creature that was bent on getting revenge on the 'squeeb' of Ron for 'tricking' him, by mutating Ron and his friends into creatures like himself. While he was thwarted, he is not gone, and Ron is sure he will be back...he is the only other4 villain to always remember Ron's name.
Señor Senior, Junior
Ron unwittingly had a hand in turning the Seniors to villainy, commenting that their home looked a lot like a villain lair and even suggesting how they could play into the vibe. Imagine his shock when they actually tried to be villains later! But Junior is less focused on the villain side of things than obtaining his own selfish goals, which puts him directly at odds with Ron more often than Kim, while his father tends to be the schemer that Kim has to stop.
Shaun
Ron and Rufus both do their best to avoid this mean-spirited young cousin of Ron's...enough said. Even if he isn't even close to 10 yet he's still a menace that makes their lives hell during family reunions.
Kim's Various Enemies
Ron does not actually have personal animosity for most of the other villains he and Kim face, and more often they are focused on her, but any enemy of Kim, he considers an enemy of his. This also extends to her personal life, antagonists toward Kim in any fashion usually earn Ron's antagonism in turn (unless they are a girl he happens to have a crush on at the time).

Journal Info
Journal Blurb: Ron is a seemingly bumbling sidekick who repeatedly helps his friend save Humanity's Haven--because beneath the bumbling exterior he is capable of far more than he believes if he can just work past his lack of confidence. He is a mess of contradictions--brave but fearful. Insightful but unobservant. Ignorant, yet intelligent. Both lazy, but ambitious, yearning for a chance to prove himself, for recognition for something he's good at. He just needs to believe he can do it...
Quote: "A-booyah!"
Notes: Is ethnically Jewish but doesn't seem to practice much outside of specific circumstances/goes absolutely all in on holidays/his zodiac sign is Virgo/lives next door to Kim
RP Sample: Ron was typing the most recent order into the register when the dining area suddenly grew silent. Not that he noticed, until he was finished, the items displayed for the customer in case they wanted to change their mind or he got something wrong. "Did you want to supersize that?" he asked...but when there was no answer for a full half of a minute, he lifted his head, to see a more empty than usual dining room.
Nearly empty, that was, except for one...person? Skeleton? His eyes widened, and his jaw dropped in disbelief. No freakin' way! Rufus popped up to see what was going on, only to dive back into his owner's pocket the instant he spotted the skeleton with glowing orbs in his eye sockets--the fact it was wearing shorts and a jacket went completely unnoticed by either of them. Ron could feel his pet trembling in his pocket, and he reassuringly patted him, even though he felt his own knees trembling. "Kim...KIM!" he hissed, trying to get his best friend's and coworker's attention, forgetting for a moment that she was in the back room getting more ingredients. He wanted so, so badly to back away from the register but then the skeleton, who had until now been devouring ketchup packets, got up from its table and approached the counter.
Ron squared his shoulders. He could do this. He'd helped Kim face down Drakken and Shego. He'd even faced, and taken in, the evil of mystical MONKEY power! He could face a skeleton! Never mind that now his legs were locked up and he couldn't move even if he wanted to. He swallowed, hard, and forced a smile on his face despite the sweat beading on his brow. And when the skeleton offered him money, he took a deep breath, and took it. And then, in the next moment, they were gone. He had to blink, trying to convince himself that hadn't happened. But the money in his palm was too real for him to have imagined this.
Still, Kim would never believe this! Not that he wasn't going to try and convince her...

Physical Appearance: Ron is, for lack of a better word, average in appearance when it comes to teens his age. He's already hit his growth spurt, putting him at 5'9" in height, his hair is a messy blond that is rarely properly combed, eyes are brown, and his skin tone is fair, with notable freckles on his oval-shaped face. Also, he's notably in shape with a wiry build, even if he's not quite up to par with his best friend in that department. Aside from the rest of him being average, he does have a longer than average nose that comes to a pretty noticeable point.
Clothing/Armor: In his day to day life Ron typically sports light brown cargo pants (the pockets are a good place for Rufus to hang out in), white sneakers, and a short-sleeved red jersey over a blue, long-sleeve mock-turtleneck.
Likes:
- Beuno Nacho (both their food, and just sitting there to socialize with his few friends)
- Being good at something, and even more, being recognized for that talent
- Cooking
- Kim (he even acts more clumsy than he is sometimes to try and cheer her up or make her look good in front of someone she wants to impress)
- Rufus (His first pet and second longest companion in the world)
- Computer games (especially the more obscure 'cult classics')
- Sci-fi and fantasy (especially if his current fixation is a story in one of those genres)
- Animals (aside from those he fears, anyway)
- How often he loses his pants on missions
- Monkeys--they absolutely terrify him, along with insects, garden gnomes, mechanical horses, and several other deep-seated fears.
- When a villain plot damages or destroys his usual Bueno Nacho hangout.
- Being away from Kim for very long at a time, or having to share his time with her with other people--he can get jealous.
- Josh Mankey (come on! his name sounds suspiciously like 'Monkey' plus the fact Kim wants to date Josh? Eww, why, Kim?!)
- Things changing as part of growing up (he can get terrified of letting things go--he still trick-or-treats as a teenager despite others looking at him oddly for it)
- When villains (and others) frequently forget his name and refer to him as Kim's sidekick or extra. Ironically, as much as he despises Monkey Fist for his affinity with monkeys, he also respects him for never once getting Ron's name wrong.

Heroes of Haven
