The Surface Knowledge
Kuja is an enigma, even among other Nobodies, because few know where he came from or how he came to be. He has an aura around him that gives the other Nobodies pause. What is known among those aware of the other world is that Kuja showed himself not long ago, appearing here and there on different worlds to make deals, selling his artificially created soldiers, the Black Mages, to spark conflict and war. He is a thorn in the side of the Union, one difficult to pin down and usually protected by those he does business with.
He is serving someone else, but the question is... who?
Kuja's First Life
Created at an unknown point in time, Kuja was an artificial Nobody, or Genome, designed to cause war on a young world called Gaia to help with the assimilation of his creator's world of Terra. Terra, being a dying world, had taken to fusing with other worlds, assimilating their hearts to prolong their own lives. Kuja was created as he is and never experienced a childhood; thus, he never developed full human emotions. A strong mind of his own with no remorse or conscience was a dangerous mix, perfect for inciting war but difficult to harness. His Master thus placed a limit on Kuja's lifespan and created another Genome that would be different from Kuja from the outset: Zidane was created as a child able to learn and grow.
Kuja did his part; he incited war by causing the different nations of Gaia to go to war, using artificial Bodies of his own to make it possible. At the same time, he plotted against his creator, waiting for the day when he might turn the tables on him. He only appeared loyal to Terra.
As it was, he manipulated events on Gaia so that he sent his brother Zidane on a collision course with their creator, with Zidane and his allies going to the world Terra, trapped inside of Gaia after their disastrous first attempt at fusing with the world and its young heart. After Zidane weakened the creator, Kuja showed up and finished the job. He also merged himself with the hearts collected by the assimilation plan, going into a Trance mode, growing more powerful and quickly defeating Zidane and his allies, taunting them at his newfound power.
But his Master's spirit lingered and spoke to Kuja, telling him he was created to last until the real Angel of Death, Zidane, reached maturity. Kuja realized he was a temporary pawn, much like the artificial Nobodies he despised.
The revelation of his impending death drove Kuja insane, and he declared he wouldn't let the world exist without him!
Using a barrage of Ultima spells, Kuja destroyed Terra. Blowing the world into pieces. But he was not finished. Seeking to destroy Gaia, Kuja found the keyhole leading to Gaia's heart. In the Crystal World of Memoria, they find Kuja at the Keyhole. What Kuja did not count on was that Zidane would ally with some Keyblade Wielders, who, upon sensing the destruction of Terra, were sent by their Master to investigate. Kuja summoned Deathguise, who was summarily destroyed. Kuja engaged Zidane's party and the Keyblade Warriors, and upon his defeat, casts Ultima, defeating them in return.
With the heart of Gaia almost destroyed, Zidane and the others found themselves inside it, confronted by an entity called Necron, a being summoned by Kuja's fear of death to destroy all life and save it from the suffering of existence.
Together with the Keyblade Warriors, Necron was defeated, and life was allowed to continue.
Having lost his trance powers and dying, Kuja used his power to teleport the heroes to safety. But he did not count on Zidane to come back for him, and here is where the Nobody named Kuja... died.
Lease at a new life, servant of CHAOS
Kuja found himself revived by the power of CHAOS, the memories of his last minutes of missing. He did not know how much time had passed, if Gaia was still around, or if this was an entirely different reality. CHAOS offered Kuja a lease on life and a new existence, unbound by limited time. In exchange for servitude and to further the power of CHAOS. A much more enticing deal than his former Master would ever have offered him, Kuja was not one to say no... still fearing his death, but with no memories of his redemption.
Where once he had been known as the Angel of Death, he now began to go under the moniker The Envoy of Death. Doing what he does best, Kuja began to sell his services and weapons to factions in different worlds, giving them the means to further their own goals and spread as much death and CHAOS as possible. With no shackles, no silly Master with a conscience holding him back, Kuja could be free to live for the moment.
He has already clashed with the Keyblade Union several times, even if only indirectly... and he is pretty certain those pesky kids who allied with Zidane the first time are among their ranks!
Mayhapps, will he get the opportunity for revenge at some point?
Appearance
Physical Appearance:
Kuja has silver hair that falls halfway down his back. He wears a large feather in his hair, has light-blue eyes and a pale complexion, and is of medium height and a slender build. He has a tail but uses magic to keep it hidden.
Clothing/Armor:
He wears white sleeves with a violet mantle around his shoulders. A white robe covers the back of his legs down to his ankles and is held up by four straps that act as a codpiece. He wears armoured, dark purple boots with golden buckles.
Weapon(s):
Misc. :
The Deserted Palace
Kuja's home and base of operations, a recreation of the desert palace he once occupied during his past life. It is an opulent building that reflects Kuja's love of luxury. The Palace is located between worlds, tucked away in the corner of reality, making it the ideal place for the sorcerer to recuperate.
Trance form
In his Trance, Kuja becomes covered in red fur, and his clothes, which turn white, become tattered. He has a long, furred tail in this form.
Personality
General Personality:
Kuja has an ego to match his power and lets his pride rule his head. Naristisstic to a fault, Kuja truly believes life should not be allowed to continue without him, and he would rather see the end of reality itself than fade himself.
Kuja is unable to empathize with others or feel remorse for his actions. Sadistic, playful, theatrical, and keen to get under people's skin. Kuja is rarely liked but more often tolerated by others. As a person, he's irritating, obnoxious and characteristically ugly. Kuja has high, unwarranted self-importance and is highly arrogant. He exudes a presence of extreme superiority over others. Examples like these (including giving those he dislikes disparaging names like "rats" and "elephant lady") make it clear he doesn't recognize other's feelings. Kuja believes he's too good for others and is often verbally harsh. He loves luxury and views himself as desirable, attractive, successful and influential.
Kuja uses his elegance to hide his insecurities and, deep down, is conflicted over his existence. He hates the artificial nobodies he creates because they constantly remind him of what he is himself, a nothing among nothing. Unlike a true Nobody, Kuja never had a heart in the first place, and so he has no heartless and no true identity to reclaim... only oblivion.
He hates and fears his mortality.

With his new lease on life and no memories from right before his death, Kuja has served CHAOS in whatever way he can, furthering these goals and relishing the freedom he has been given with this second chance. Currently, Kuja seeks to manipulate the most potent factions to fight each other, giving aid where and when he feels it will cause the most destruction.
Abilities
Skills:
Terran Engineering
The Terrans were famous for their ability to manipulate the world around them, be it bodies, souls or hearts. People "in the know" know the many achievements credited to the Terran people. Sadly, most of this knowledge was lost with the decay of their world, and few still know what happened to them. Kuja has an intimate understanding of Terran Engineering and knows how to create artificial Nobodies and dolls to store hearts and souls, which can be used for different purposes. He knows the technology to manufacture, modify, and enhance these creatures. Using the residue left behind from areas of great destruction, he can use it to build machines to mass-produce these soldiers effectively. But, he can also aid other Nobodies by modifying their forms, even strengthening them. Furthermore, he can control lesser Nobodies and Heartless easily enough.
Damage Resistance
Kuja is largely resistant to injury; he is not troubled by such things as feeling pain, and even powerful attacks barely draw blood from him. That does not make him immune to harm; it just makes him more durable, as if wearing armour without actually wearing one. He was designed to be this way. This does not make him physically stronger; it just makes him more difficult to take down if going by his outward physique.
Magic:
Sorcerer of Light and Dark
Kuja is horrible in physical combat, but his intense, destructive magic makes up for it. Making him one of the most powerful, magically inclined nobodies.
Kuja is an exceptional sorcerer, wielding powers of light and darkness, and he can cast white and black magic. His most powerful spells include Curaga, Holy, Flare, Flare Star and Thundaga, which makes it possible for him to become a dangerous opponent in battle. He also has access to a wider selection of other spells, such as Demi, Gravira, Blizzaga, and Water, to mention a few more. Many of his spells are focused on causing as much collateral damage as possible, with healing being the one notable exception.
His nature as an artificial Nobody also grants him the power to absorb souls he's captured to gain more power. This power allows him to achieve Trance mode, in which his magical power triples, enabling him to cast a powerful Ultima spell, which can be used to devastating effects when unleashed upon an area.
He can levitate himself, becoming free from the constraints of gravity, and traverse between different worlds using the Corridors of Darkness.
Bond Information
Friends/Allies:
Garland
Calling the Devoid knight a friend would be a stretch, but certainly an ally. Even if Kuja and Garland have different ways of going about their missions, they both serve the same purpose of spreading CHAOS and destruction; therefore, they do not clash. Kuja regards Garland with at least some respect, albeit reluctantly.
Rivals/Enemies:
Zidane Tribal
Kuja has no idea of his brother's location, or the location of Gaia for that matter. Whether he is alive remains to be seen, but Kuja cannot deny that his feelings for Zidane are... complicated. Still, he could prove useful again, seeing that Kuja is not currently on the brink of death...
General Beatrix
Among the guardians and teachers of Scala Ad Caelum, none knows Kuja like Beatrix. She knows the evil that is Kuja, what he is capable of, what he has done, and how dangerous he is. Kuja's feelings on the matter are very mutual, and he is well aware of the General's skill in battle. He almost destroyed her home world, after all.
Faction Link(s):
Due to his "profession" as an arms dealer, engineer of Nobodies, and follower of CHAOS. Kuja has made several connections among different worlds, making enemies and allies. He has personally little, if any, loyalty to any of these groups, and all he does serves to further his new Master's purpose... and his own, too, of course.
The Keyblade Union
Kuja HATES the Keyblade Union. They already messed up his plans once in his past life and kept sticking their noses in his business in this one as well. Goody-Two-Shoes Heroes who judge reality from their high horses!
Villainous Inc.
There's nothing like power-hungry idiots to make for good customers. Kuja often strike deals with the different members of Villanious Inc., Providing them with his Nobodies at a reasonable price.
The Council of Naught
Kuja's relationship with the Council of Naught is cordial if slightly strained. He does provide his services to select members of the faction. But it makes it a point to steer clear of others for many reasons.
The Grand Assembly
The faction Kuja has worked with the most lately, providing them with regular resources for whatever schemes the different members want to accomplish.
The Sealed
Like the other factions, Kuja has been in touch with the members of The Sealed. He is enough to be on speaking terms with Dante and has been seen in conversation with him on at least one occasion. As to the whys behind it, it remains for the moment unclear.

A mortal...? ...I'm finished? I don't believe you! Why would I believe such a silly story? You're telling me that I'll die soon now that I'm more powerful than anyone? I'm going to...die!? Lose...? Ha... HAHAHAHAHAHA! What comedy! Zidane, isn't it hilarious!? I'll die just like the black mages I so despise! I single-handedly brought chaos unto Gaia, but in the end, I'm nothing but a worthless doll!
...I won't let it happen. I won't... I won't let this world exist without me!

"They did.. what, exactly?"
"They destroyed it, Master."
Kuja clenched his fist.
"And the wares?" He asked slowly, voice laced with no small amount of contempt.
"Also destroyed, Master." The Dusk replied, swaying slightly from side to side in a manner typical of their kind. "The Union tore the place down."
Kuja pinched his nose, the Union, yes, of course, it was them. "The Union, those three fools and their band of children, like a persistent swarm of locusts, keep pestering me at every turn. I thought my brother was persistent, but this is getting silly." This was going to be a significant setback, one he would have rather been without. Still, at the end of it all, it was just a setback. It's not like the Keyblade fools would get anything useful from blowing up his workshops and destroying his creations. It could have been far worse.
"Maybe-" Kuja stopped, "No, he would be the person I least want to involve in my business. Still- He would be better suited to deal with those Keyblade Heroes... even if I can only arrange a collision course and hope for the best."
He looked to the Dusk again.
"Where is Lord Garland right now?"
"He was last seen in a small world that is no more, Master." Answered the Dusk, "Do you wish for us to find him?"
"Yes- locate him and tell me where he is or where he is going; I might need to have another word with him."
"Yes, Master."
"You're dismissed," Kuja watched as the Dusk slunk off before turning to one of the large windows in his "office" and looking out into the void outside.
