History: His family had always believed in the legends of Scala Ad Caelum and never strayed far from the path the Masters had laid out. He had always dreamed of making a difference but felt he lacked conviction for the majority of his life. What drove him to strive for greater heights was the awakening of the Masters of old that spurred him forward. They had been gone for the longest time and now that they reemerged, it had become clear to him that they needed help now more than ever.
Since that day, he dedicated himself to their cause and worked hard to achieve the goals he set for himself. They weren't easy to obtain and he even fell along the way. Yet he picked himself back up, time and time again. Even when faced with odds that were clearly against him, he pushed through to come out on top. He worked tirelessly to ensure a brighter future for not only Scala Ad Caelum but for existence as a whole. He had studied under the Masters even and landed himself a position as Guardian. Yet to him, this was not enough. Not nearly enough.
He had to shoulder the load. The plight that plagued worlds would weigh heavy on his mind for not every being is aware of the path they tread and some even struggled to understand their own path. But he had the knack to be on the outside looking in and could clearly see the drives of others even if they themselves did not. They might claim to know what they want but he can tell through their actions what path they are destined to walk to some degree, it was true. Some have clear-cut idea while some are totally oblivious. He would then take it upon himself to not only instruct them as a Guardian but as a person who struggled to find his own path as well. In time, this methodology would earn the respect of the Masters who would allow him to council not only allies but Keyblade Wielders as well in lieu of their own selves.
His guidance soon became paramount as they entered a new age where everyone needed a helping hand to set them on the path they needed to be.

Physical Appearance: Cid stands at a decent 6'6" with average features. Has short, stylized jet black hair and poignant grey eyes.
Clothing/Armor: Wears an ivory longcoat with several black accents and markings denoting his achievements as Guardian.

A pair of gloves charged with magic that enhance the user's strikes but not their physical strength. These are also effective at dealing with Heartless.

Personality
General Personality: Cultured and well-spoken but also possesses a friendly disposition. He is a man driven by conviction, not letting anything but himself dictate his actions. This allows him to think unclouded and properly guide those the way he deems fit. He might come off as needlessly strict or callous at times, but what he does, he does for the benefit of those who train under him. He is quite sincere and mindful, able to be both heavy-handed and use a gentle touch as needed in conversation and through actions.
