General Information
Name: Tsukiko
Race: human
Gender: Female
Role: Keyblade wielder
Origin World: Elysium
Age: 25
History: Tsukiko was born on a rather isolated and old world called Elysium. It was a beautiful place steeped in history and traditions dating back to before the keyblade war. This world was home to cities and the peaceful lands between them, in the middle of which stood an ancient coliseum and temple, surrounded by farmlands and other valuable resources. Long ago, the two cities used to fight fiercely over these resources, each training a champion to do ritualistic combat to the death in the coliseum, the winner's city gaining dominion over the surrounding lands for the year. Each champion would wield one of two ancestral keyblades, said to be derived from the heart of the world itself, and the winner of the duel said to be selected by fate, and thus the authority of the winning side was not to be challenged.
Over the millennia, this ritualistic deathmatch became less and less of a matter of conflict, and more one of tradition. Each city still took great pride in raising their champions, bringing talented youths to the temple to see which would be selected by the world's keyblades and then training them up, but the prize for victory was simply bragging rights, and the matches were no longer to the death. The resources that were once fought for were shared equitably, though the winning champion would get first claim to the resources produced as a reward for their service. It was now more akin to a sporting event than a remnant of a bloody history of conflict.
Tsukiko was this generation's champion, selected by the keyblade at a young age, and trained by the prior champion, she was a talented youth, matched only by the young girl from the other city, Nirvana. Tsukiko had an innate talent for magic, while Nirvana was a physical powerhouse, the two sparred a lot even outside of the yearly bout and were very close friends beloved by both cities. They were evenly matched too, so no animosity borne from jealousy festered, as each won as many bouts as they lost. It was the perfect friendship in an era of peace and prosperity... and rumors were abound that perhaps the two girls were something more than just good friends, though nobody ever confronted them on the matter.
Things remained this way until one yearly bout, when Tsukiko was 19, she won this year's contest. As was tradition, the winning champion would take the keyblade of the defeated and bring it to the temple. The two keyblades had the ability to fuse into a greater whole, and this fused keyblade would be used for some ceremonial rituals. In the past, the defeated blade would then be left in the temple for the next champion to claim, though that didn't happen often anymore except when a champion retired. Everything was going as normal, take the keyblade, march to the temple, do the whole song and dance with the combined blade, all the same as every year... except something was wrong.
Tsukiko noticed a stranger in the crowd at the ceremony, an oddity as she knew just about everyone in both cities, but before she could think on the matter more, strange monsters of legend manifested all about the temple. Creatures of darkness and husks in white, stuff that only existed in storybooks, fairy tales all. They rampaged through the panicking crowd, striking down all who stood against them, the town guards of each city who were actually armed fought back with little success, but only Tsukiko seemed to be having much luck defeating them, other weapons were much less effective, and while magic still worked the guardsmen were more trained to deal with unruly people who'd had a few too many drinks, not monsters.
Tsukiko did her best to fight with the fused keyblade, desperately searching for Nirvana to give her back her half of the blade, if the two worked together they could maybe get this outbreak under control... she found her just in time to see a shining light exit her body and be swallowed by darkness, and for the body to disappear. Not knowing what it meant Tsukiko could only think the worst, what was more, at this moment the ground began to shake, buildings crumbling, a giant orb of darkness in the sky sucking up everything and everyone. The fused keyblade broke apart, and Tuskiko watched in horror as her friend's blade turned from white to a dark red and black, similar to the darkness attacking them all, corrupted by it.
Fighting as much as she could, striking down countless monsters, Tsukiko would eventually be overwhelmed and sucked into the dark orb along with everything else in her home, all seemed lost... but when she regained consciousness, she was in a new city, Scala ad Calum. It was here she would learn a great deal more about what had happened, about the heartless, and nobodies, the true nature of the keyblades, and more. She knew bits and pieces of many things, but her world's legends had degraded over time as all tales do. Had she possessed more complete knowledge, she'd have known how to seal the keyhole and protect her world, protect her loved ones and friends, and keep people like the stranger out. She knew in her heart the stranger was to blame, the timing was too coincidental, they had called the heartless, and they'd done it at the temple... likely where the keyhole was located. She wanted payback against the stranger... but more importantly she learned Nirvana might not be gone for good... she was a powerful heart, which meant her body wouldn't have been totally consumed... her mind and body would still be somewhere as a Nobody... and if her heart could be returned... that took priority.
Tsukiko trained under the masters at her new home, interestingly, she wielded both a light and dark keyblade, and discovered they could still fuse... albeit much more unstably, forming a Twilight keyblade. So she received training from multiple masters, honing her skills further as well as learning to dual wield. All the while she did research, looking for how her world could be restored, and how to find a specific heart in the darkness. She was determined, she'd take her home back, she'd get her closest friend back too, she would bring everything back, find the stranger who'd taken it away, and make sure they never tried again.
Now age 25, having completed her training and being ready to go on missions without an accompanying master, she is ready to work towards those goals, but what awaits her in the many worlds remains to be seen...
Appearance

Physical Appearance: Tsukiko is a tall girl, at 5'10" with a slim build densely packed with muscles from many years of training, though she trained more for agility and endurance and thus isn't as visibly ripped as some warriors might be. Her long hair is a dark blue at the roots, almost black, while lightening to a paler shade of blue as it grows out. she has amber colored eyes, and is adorned with tattoos that seem to have some sort of spiritual significance, though even she doesn't know the full scope of the legends behind them as they were lost to time even before her homeworld fell.
Clothing/Armor: tsukiko wears a two piece outfit made of dark cloth that resists darkness, which helps her travel between worlds more safely as well as harness her powers more easily. Her pants are baggy to maximize freedom of movement, while her top is a tight binder to also maximize combat efficiency. She also sports arm sleeves and gloves made of the same material to further aid her in resisting darkness. She wears earrings given to her by someone special, and has various other accessories and piercings.
Weapon(s): Twin keyblades
Consisting of a light keyblade and dark keyblade, the blades of equilibrium used to be two light keyblades deeply tied to the heart of her homeworld. When her world fell, one of the keyblades became corrupted as both the world and it's original wielder fell to darkness. When wielded individually as a dual wielder each is a powerful blade in it's own right, but their true power comes from the ability they once had before the fall, the ability to fuse into one singular keyblade, melding the hearts and light of their owners. Now corrupted, this ability results in a unique new form
When fused together into the Road Between, the single keyblade is immensely powerful blending light and dark power together into twilight. However this form is innately unstable, requiring the wielder balance the light and dark within themselves, and thus risking the darkness taking over, or the light shining too brightly. Tsukiko has been training intensely, and wearing special clothing to make maintaining this form easier, but it is a struggle. The power yielded by a successful fusion is well worth the effort, but the cost of the fusion breaking apart leaves her drained and vulnerable.

Personality
General Personality: Tsukiko is a very driven indivdual, raised nearly from birth to be a warrior to represent her people, she has incredible discipline... and limited social experience. She's a genuinely kind and caring person, but doesn't really know how to show it, most often resorting to jumping to help others and showing her intent through actions since she can't always find the words. To an outside observer she seems stoic and aloof, even intimidating as she often struggles showing emotion on her face, but those who get to know her know better. She's a bleeding heart despite her lack of expression, and those who know how to read her face can pick up on the subtle changes that show how she feels.
The fall of her world affected her deeply however, and she spends too much time close to the darkness, exacerbating some of her worse tendencies as she is forced to wield darkness to access her fused keyblade, or to even wield the dark blade at all. This has made her more impulsive, quicker to resort to violence to resolve conflict, and more irritable in general. All traits she's not especially happy with having, but her need for the dark power forces her to toe the line, even if it makes life more difficult for her.

Abilities
Skills:
Extensive Combat training - Tsukiko has been trained from a young age to wield a keyblade, something she has only gotten more of since her world fell and she's had access to more teachers at Scala ad Calum. This has been curtailed somewhat by the fact that for most of her life she trained to wield a single keyblade, and it's only in the past few years she's been dual wielding.
Magic savant - while her rival was always the superior physical fighter in their yearly bouts, Tsukiko has a innate talent for magic, having a great deal of MP and power to her spells, this has only been enhanced with the addition of a second keyblade
Magic fusion - a technique developed in order to compete with her rival's superior physical might, Tsukiko has learned to combine multiple spells together to create amplified or unique effects, such as adding air magic to fire magic to create an amplified flame, or fire to water to create steam.
The Road Between - mentioned above in the description of her keyblades, Tsukiko can fuse her light and dark keyblades into a single powerful Twilight keyblade, enhancing it's strength as well as her own, but only for as long as she can maintain the delicate balance of light and dark within herself. Failure to do so results in the transformation ending, leaving her tired and vulnerable to attack
