Lucille tilts her head to look at Cal inquisitively. "What is it, Cal?" She asks, though upon noticing the book she leans down and picks it up. She tilts her head at first. Is this a... Meditation book? Like some kind of guide for it? Well... She was literally just complaining about that so she supposed it couldn't hurt to give it a read. With a slight smile she gives Cal a gentle pat on the head. "Good find, buddy. When in doubt, opening new books until a solution comes used to work alright for me in the past..." She says, before opening it up and giving it a read. It was... Pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Mental health exercises and in-depth guides on meditation including techniques like grounding and breathing exercises like the candle blowing or five second methods. She had to admit she wasn't sure meditation was exactly her style, it seems more the type of thing you'd some sort of monk or savvy guru do, but hey she may as well give it a shot. She ends up wrapping up the parts of the book she thought pertinent by the time it was around her bed time, so she calls it a night there.
The following morning she'd start off trying out the meditation thing, and it was... Rocky, to say the least. It barely worked but it's scarce for a first try to work out perfectly, right? Whatever the case may be she went on to do her exercises and then sword practice. It didn't really help her mindset much, but she gave meditating another shot later in the day to wind down, and then called it a night. On the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that, and so on, she would repeat this. It was pretty repetitive just spending all day in her home practicing but finally getting that third hit in was firmly on her mind and she didn't want to stop until she did it. She still consistently struggled with meditation, but one day she decided to change things up and meditate at her desk instead of on her bed. At first it wasn't much better, but then a breeze came in from the open window, and the way it lightly rustled her hair brought a new aspect of things she didn't think of. Suffice it to say she meditated with the window open from then onward. It seemed to yield results; her exercise went more smoothly and her sword strikes became more clean and efficient. However while she was making noticeable improvements she knew this wouldn't be enough to overcome Lightning's sensory overload of sheer movement. But one final day she ended off her meditation by sticking her head out the window and feeling the breeze more fully. As she felt the wind move... She realized something. Something BIG. With a sudden smile she exclaims. "AHA! I finally—" BAM, she smacks the top of her head on the windowsill by accident from her enthusiasm. Shortly after she was rubbing the back of her head sitting on the bed. "owww ow ow ow..." When the throbbing subsided she finally looked at Cal with a pained smile. "I think I got it, Cal. I think I know what to do. I just need to practice for a couple more days, and then... Let's go show Lightning what we can do, hmm?"
And like clockwork, on the third day Lucille arrives at the training grounds, sword in hand and Cal in tow. She seeks out Lightning directly and greets her succinctly. "Good morning, Lightning. It's been a couple weeks on my own and I think I'm finally ready to show you what I've got," She points her blade at them in a challenging manner, though it was moreso for the cool symbolism than any kind of aggression. "Indulge your troublesome student one more time?"
