The EternalThe Eternals were never living entities in the first place and are constructs more similar to the Denizens. With the significant difference being that they were not born from imagination, but spawned by the Library to fulfil different purposes. The Eternal make up most of the staff in charge of maintaining functions. They repair things when they break, act as guides and guards, and man the information desks scattered around the Library. They can look like a wide variety of things, but all share the trait of looking slightly artificial and constructed, frequently being mistaken as part of the Science-fiction section.
Examples of Purpose: Security, Maintenance, Information, Service.

Enemies/RivalsHas your Eternal made any unfortunate enemies in the Library? Do they have a rival they wish to upstage?
Abilities & SkillsEternals are all granted abilities and skills vital to fulfilling the functions of their Purpose. These are only combat-oriented if they are part of Library Security. That is not to say you can’t be creative with these abilities.
Important: Common among all Eternals, they do not need to eat, breathe, or sleep. However, they cannot taste, smell, or dream.
The GuardiansThese are the humans the Library chose to protect and guard the Denizens inside. They receive the call in the form of dreams and can stumble into the Library in many different ways. They can be chosen seemingly randomly from anywhere in the world and from all walks of life. Still, the most common humans who become Guardians are those who used to be Visitors, but that is not always the case. Some Guardians chose to stay permanently, and their homes are often found in and around the Entrance Hall. However, nothing stops Guardians from living in different library areas for personal reasons or to protect one specific section. As for those Guardians who, for wildly different reasons, want to go home, it can be done, but it would need to be approved by The Librarian; with the recent assault from the Vala, Morgoth, security has risen, and it becomes more important to know who comes and goes though the Main Gates.
Upon stepping into the Library with their physical bodies, humans are granted armaments and equipment to help them protect themselves and others. Their base of operation also functions as the Library’s entrance hall and main information desk. The Guardians regularly patrol the Stacks and can be called upon when trouble arises.
The Guardians are The Fractured's most persistent enemies because their weapons and equipment were created specifically to be effective against fictional entities.
Guardian Equipment: These are unique objects, even in the scope of the Library. Created by the
Eternals, they are shaped from pure
Imagination and can be forged into almost anything. The Equipment in its unclaimed state all appear as orbs of light and, when claimed, will shift into a form suitable for the wielder. At first glance, a Guardian weapon will look like any other weapon, but when used, it can wound even the most powerful of Denizens, giving the Guardians a much-needed edge. They usually have one ability tied to each of them.
Warning: It is not recommended to fight an enemy of Sovereign alone, even with a Guardian weapon.

General AppearancePlease briefly describe your Guardian and anything not seen in the provided image. Guardians are humans, and their general appearance should reflect that. They can have any ethnicity and come from any part of the world.
Guardian Weapons & EquipmentAll Guardians are granted special weapons and tools designed to work effectively against Fictional entities. Guardians don’t possess the many innate abilities or magic the Denizens have. In return, their equipment makes up for this and are some of the most important ways a Guardian will survive their life inside the Library. One Guardian is usually granted between 1-3 pieces of weaponry or equipment, but they can be granted more. Each has
ONE ability tied to it, which can be any number of things. Some objects might even seem a little weird at first glance. A few examples of weapons and tools used by past Guardians have been:
A sword that turns into a whip
A shield able to summon magic barriers
A wand able to manipulate wind
A pistol able to fire bolts of lightning
A mirror able to reflect light and energy attacks
A backpack bigger on the inside.
A key that could open any lock (and had a built-in pocket knife.)
A pair of sunglasses that could detect invisible things

The Denizens
Denizen is the collective term for all creatures and people manifesting from humanity's collective imagination. Born from stories, novels, and make-believe. Denizens are the most abundant in the Library and can be found everywhere. The Guardians have ranked them according to the level of influence and power they possess, with them going under one of three roles:
“Sovereign,” “Cast,” and
“Tertiary.”
SovereignThe Guardians call the Sovereigns so simply because they represent the peak, the cream of the crop, the fictional world's powerhouses. More often than not, the Sovereigns are to be respected, if not feared, and usually require several Guardians to take on, even with the added assistance of their weapons and equipment. They can be the most difficult of obstacles or the greatest of allies. Both evil, good and anything in between can be found among their ranks.
Examples: Saruman, Dumbledore, Arriman the Awful, Pennywise, The Hell Priest, Kvothe, and The Hobgoblin
CastRight below the Sovereigns are what the Guardians call Cast Roles or just Cast. These are often the Protagonists or Antagonists, depending mainly on their disposition and flavour. They are so-called because this is where different stories' main characters and minor villains frequently end up. They are usually at a comparable level to the Guardians.
Examples: Long John Silver, Sherlock Holmes, Belladonna, George Wickham, FitzChivalry, Danny Torrance, Hamlet, and Aragorn.
Tertiary
This is where the Guardians put the remaining Denizens that don’t fit into the other two categories. They are the most numerous and are always the least dangerous for the Guardians to handle. Tertiary Roles often function as minions of the antagonists or supporters of the Guardians in ways where power is unimportant. However, the Tertiary also consists of purely neutral fictional characters who try to live their lives without being pulled into the politics of the Great Library. That is not to say they cannot be dangerous or helpful because even the weakest among them have a will of their own and sometimes a desire to prove themselves.
Examples: Winnie the Pooh, Argus Filch, Charlie Bucket, Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, Moominmamma, Charles Bingley, and Issy Randall

The VisitorsLike the Guardians, the Visitors are humans, but the significant difference is their true bodies remain outside the Library. They are composed of similar imaginary energy as the Denizens. A Visistor usually materialise inside the Library for many different reasons, either when they dream, end up in a coma, or are otherwise unconscious. Some visistors have even been inside the Library longer than many of the older Denizens, giving rise to the idea that they died. Many of these tend to be children or teens, but it's not unheard of that others find their way inside.
Visitors do not possess abilities like the Denizens or are granted weapons upon entering like the Guardians; They are on the same power level as Tertiary Denizens. That is not to say that visitors do not possess abilities or benefits; the most important thing is that Visitors cannot be killed inside the Library. If “slain,” a Visitor will simply respawn at the last Information Desk they visited, much like in a video game. Furthermore, upon materialising inside the Library, they are all granted a
Library Card. This card gives them the freedom to roam about and function as a way for the other entities inside to identify them as Visitors. Most of the Library's residents welcome the Visitors and consider them honoured guests. Harming a Visitor is seen as a taboo, even among the evil Denizens. That doesn’t mean they cannot be exploited in other ways. They possess knowledge of the human world and can be ignorant and naive.
