It is often difficult to judge the passage of time relative to two different points. This is a well known issue between inhabited worlds, but it is more true in the vast emptiness. So Garland, the strange knight devotee to Chaos, could not tell you how long he waited for life to start on this rock, barely the size of a moon, out in space. He had, in his mind, some idea that life would appear if he observed the planetoid, maybe even life would form because he stood on the barren land. A possible way to learn first hand how life forms, the emptiness warping thanks to chaos, and solidified thanks to order. It would be a fascinating means to understand its root, and how to break it.
And yet nothing changed. Hours, days, maybe months he stood here, waiting. And nothing. A fool's errand, it would seem, and a waste of his time out here in the vast infinite. He drew his blade , and raised it high over his head. At least he can see how much effort it would be to destroy something this size, if it would not give him new life to examine.

"I was starting to wonder where you had gone off to," the familiar voice of Kuja rang out. Moments later, the sorcerer appeared from a corridor of darkness, floating a few inches off the ground. He took a moment to take in what he was looking at: the desolate little seed of a world, the emptiness surrounding it, and his compatriot standing with his blade raised high over his head. Kuja was not sure what he would take from all this, but Garland was notoriously difficult to read or fully understand.
"I'm afraid to ask," Kuja continued with a slight smile, one of his slender eyebrows raised as he flipped a few strands of his white hair out of his face before landing on the ground. "But- I'll bite. What are you doing, Sir Garland?"
Maybe his presence was not welcome, not that it mattered. Kuja would not have tried to find Garland without a reason—not like they had ever been bosom buddies. They had exceedingly different ways of spreading chaos, with Kuja being a surgical tool and Garland being a sledgehammer.

Garland lowered his blade as the tool of destruction floated out from a corridor. "Thought I get a head start on a planet. Watch life for early, get it started towards chaos from the off set. Nothing appeared, so I'm just going to break a rock. What do you want?" His response was sharp, humorless, and made clear that he would not even blink if someone was to laugh at how he spent however long it was he was out here.

"I see," said Kuja, and the sorcerer did not laugh. He saw little humour in it; if anything, the idea of Garland having spent all this time just standing around was more sad than funny. It was an utter waste of time if anything. Not that Kuja was stupid enough to antagonize the knight by pointing that out. " And- what made you think life would ever develop on this piece of junk?" Kuja momentarily grabbed a small rock and held it in his hand before tossing it unceremoniously. "If you want life, you need the right building blocks for life even to begin. The very idea behind the spontaneous creation of life is, in and of itself, chaos. I admire the dedication, and I imagine Master would be pleased."
Kuja paused at the sharp question, choosing not to make a joke... it would most likely just be ignored if Garland even understood it.
"I came because I might have found something to entice you, some opponents that could prove to your liking. Something that would make for a very entertaining show" Getting to the point might be the best thing to do. He was getting increasingly frustrated with the Union and their Keyblade brats. Kuja had already faced one of their supposed "Masters" back on Gaia, one of the friends of his misguided little brother. Perhaps what was needed here was a big enough distraction for Kuja to act more freely. "Interested?"

"Oooh? What glorious news to be brought." One could almost sense the smile the knight might have at hearing this news. A living opponent was always more interesting than just challenging nature or it's creation. Even if a fight with a person too less time than 'battle' with a mountain, a mountain did not change come victory or defeat. It was not combat, no matter how one spun it. That said, he did not like leaving his thought to itself. He swung the massive blade back up over his head, and slashed hard at the ground below him. However he put a curve into the string, instead more 'scooping' out a part of the rock they stood on, as oppose to an attempt to 'break' it to its core. "There, my passing through feels completed. Lead the way Kuja. I would see these opponents that caught your ire so that you;d bring me upon them."

"Excellent," said Kuja with a bright smile. He raised his hand, calling upon a swirling opening leading into a corridor of darkness. "Shall we then?" He gestured for the portal before striding into it, counting on the fact that Garlan would join him. Travel using darkness was dangerous... at least for normal people, but Garland was far from normal, and Kuja had no heart to be corrupted.
The journey would take a while, so they could converse on the way there while the darkness flowed around them.
"Well, I learned from my mistakes, and I am not going to make the same twice." Kuja paused, glancing up at Garland. "My currency is war, and I can't well have a group of do-gooders continue to work for... peace." He said the last word as if he had to taste something disgusting. "Makes for such boring performances- which is where your assistance comes in, Garland. We need to shake up the stage, so to speak."

Garland walked into darkness without concern. Darkness and Light had little sway over him. "Bah. Peace is but a lie. Either a bulwark to try and stem chaos, certain to crumble. Or simply a word to make the constant conflict more tasteful. A hero of 'peace' and order often fight to be stronger same as any. Conflict is their nature despite their claims." The knight grunted, yet the word 'peace' did not have as much distaste to him as it did Kuja. "Still a battle with 'heroes' should be easy enough to incite. I simply hope they can hold my interest for long."
