The little figure in his hands turns, his thumb brushing shavings away as he listens in. They focus on getting everyone involved in one way or another, allowing them all a moment to shine. It's noble and a great way to make sure everyone feels good. It's not terribly practical. Still, this is the first of many lessons, and there will be time to teach them otherwise. Little Bat's movement towards the blueprints draws his attention and he looks up as she explains her plan to the team. The board lights up, leaving markers where she reaches. It does not escape his notice that she has given herself the more difficult path and he wonders just how much like Big Bat she is in terms of skill. Roy's lips part to respond when Kyle steps up to Batgirl. From his position, Roy can peek over her shoulder to see what the tall boy has drawn. A proud grin strikes across his face and Roy can't be damned to do anything about it. The last few questions Roy would have wanted answers for were reflected in the pages of Kyle's notebook. " Good work, Kyle," Roy says, offering the boy a thumbs up. " If you want those answers, I have them." He gestures at the board. If anyone decides the information is important, all they have to do is tap on the little envelope hovering beside Kyle and Little Bat. " If you think you have what it takes, come to the final agreement and we will run the simulation." The EnvelopeThe envelope opens up to reveal the following information:
There are a total of 8 goons and then Sanchez. Through the audio and windows, the team can discover there is a set patrol pattern for both floors. When picture evidence of Kit's life is sent to the police, there is a staircase leading down in the background.

Weld listened to Gwen and was just about to warn her, but she ended up punching him again; this time, he rolled his eyes with a slight smile. Metal-abs? Well, that was one nickname he had not been called before; he did not mind it and instead moved his attention over to Kyle again and gave an apologizing shrug; he had never claimed to be good at art. "I don't think getting away will be a problem. I can certainly help with that." He said, "As long as we can get the kid out of harm, we can take down these criminals." He was confident they had the skills to take down those guys alone if faced with such a situation, as long as the kid was safe.
He then listened to Roy, nodding as he spoke, watching the building with arms folded and his face in a thoughtful furrow. He left the floor open to all the others, slowly looking at each of them. What they said was true—the news would be more of a problem than anything else if the bandits could see the news.
He noticed Batgirl was looking at him, and he gave her a thumbs-up and one of his encouraging silvery grins. "I can be very distracting if I have to, so don't worry about me; you just do that awesome thing you keep doing, scaring the shit out of me." He said to her. "Aimed at the other side this time, if possible."
"I think we got a pretty solid plan so far," Weld said, "Spidey, Sparky and Bats could easily get inside without being noticed, as long as we can keep the media from noticing them doing so. When inside, it would be vital to find Kit and get him out" He pointed to the front of the building. "Kyle and I could be a distraction by approaching from the front, maybe striking up a conversation with the creeps about their demands or something. I can improvise to keep them occupied. Hopefully, that would also draw the media's attention, at least for a while." He cleared his throat, looking at his friends with what he hoped was a confident smile. "Kyle and I can come inside and help take the enemies out, but only when we know Kit is safe. What do you guys think?"

Gwen nodded. The plan made sense, and played to their strengths. She began to limber up, arms across her chest to stretch them, leaning deep into lunges to prepare her muscles.
"Yeah. That sounds like a solid plan. Hey, old man, I think we're ready to go!"
She grinned at Roy, then fished out her phone to line up some songs. Gwen knew the perfect vibe for this kind of mission. She looked at Batsy and then the others, giving them a laid-back peace sign.
"We got this in the bag, guys!"

Kyle tilted his head towards Roy, bending his elbow to give his own thumbs up, maybe his drawings were getting better.
His attention was called to this new piece of intel that Roy displayed on the board, which he reached out to poke with his pen, answering his questions. Though everything was bare already for everyone to consider, he still felt like copying everything into his notes. He could be kinda forgetful, maybe he would have to read it midway through. Kyle internalized the plan, him and Weld were both very tough and scary, so they would distract the goons and also the onlookers to buy the ceiling squad time to run reconnaisance and secure Kit, after which, his job would be to beat bad guys up. He wondered about that part, how would he do that? Heroes in those VHSs just throw a bunch of kicks and fists and it looks really cool and they never get hit, Kyle felt like he was a bit big, that might be an impediment to not getting hit back.
Kyle approached Gwen's rally with a puffed throat and head high, squatting with his notes open, with the locations of the cameras and the windows highlighted, to see how she and Batgirl would scout the premises and for everyone to huddle along and reaffirm their readyness.

Batgirl put a hand on her hip, pivoted towards Weld, smirking under her cowl. They had only recently begun working together, and he already knew her so well. Then, she quickly reduced her stance to a neutral profile. She- did not normally express herself like that. Gw- Ghost-Spider was rubbing off on her. This team dynamic was nice.
The envelope hanging before Batgirl and Kyle was popped open by Batgirl as soon as it was within reach. The information inside was invaluable, for all parties. She quickly committed the patrols to memory. Seeing Kyle mark the camera and security positions was helpful, too. They could do this. They were going to do this. Her arms were not nearly long enough, but Batgirl tried to wrap herself around her friends (Kyle seemed to have the same idea) to huddle together in front of Roy. She looked up at him, daring.
It was time to prove themselves.

Roy looks over the team huddled together with amusement tucked into his smirk. " Alright, Champions. Get ready for the mission. This version of the simulation reacts to you. Get in positions." As he says this, the room around them shifts. An endless forest transforms into the seemingly endless concrete jungle of New York City. The team stands on the rooftop of a building across the road from the office building. The ravine is replaced by the edge of the rooftop and the road down below it. Arsenal is in his usual work wear including his baseball cap and bulletproof, tactical vest. A riffle rests against his chest and he reaches up to readjust his cap. " Since this is the first time, there is not a timer, however, do not take your time. As we do more of these, they will get more complex and I will add timers." The Champions will find that they are all in their typical field wear and everything would feel so very real. Even the late evening breeze of autumn manages to chill their skin. Down below them, they can hear the sound of a cop's voice over a megaphone, urging civilians back behind the barriers. " React to everything as if it is real. Move out, Champions." [ For the sake of this post looking neater, each Champion has its own segment for when they get into position. Click your spoiler.] CasperShe will find no resistance on her path to a rooftop. There are no guards up there and the helicopters have not yet arrived. Outside of the vents and the roof access door, there is nothing of note up here.
If the door is approached and interacted with, it will prove to have been locked shut. Kyle & Weld Their approach defines how this mission will go for them. The information they can gain from the rooftop and looking down is as follows:
- There are at least two police cruisers at either end of the road running in front of the office building and one more at the corner towards the end of the road that runs down the side of the office.
- Several news anchors are trying to broadcast this live over the air.
- There is one police officer in particular who is standing with his megaphone in his hands and on the office side of the main road. This guy is the one talking to Sanchez and his men. Little BatShe will find no resistance when it comes to getting close to the building itself as the police are currently busy trying to keep the press out of the area. If she moves close to the side of the building on her way to the back, she will hear the sound of two people arguing as they move from the back of the building toward the front.
If the door is approached and interacted with, she will find it locked. A secondary glance will reveal a nearby window. This is unlocked, however, it is too thick with dirt to be seen through. SparkyThere are a number of ways for her to gain access to the building as a whole as it is currently powered. However, none of the cameras offer visuals of the enemies and the ones outside are down entirely. Audio is clear through them.
Nothing is stopping her from gaining access to the building through her powers.

A door opened - the girl who stepped through did not see the group of young heroes surrounding a board or in the midst of training. Instead, platform boots crunched lightly on a textured rooftop. In the distance was a New York City skyline, but more pressing was the foreground. There, a man in tactical gear with a rifle sat as if he was waiting for her - or, more likely, as if she'd interrupted him. Pointedly, she looked behind her at the hallway that was definitely not rooftop access or in this part of the city, twisting her body for effect. A cropped black bob and bangs bounced as she turned back. She had been taking a sip out of a starbucks cup when she entered, but now it stayed dormant at her side while she took in what was happening. Stark blue eyes honed in sharply on the man and the gun. She was silent a hard moment before her hands started to raise. "... I come in peace?"

Gwen skimmed the notepad Kyle offered, giving him an affirming nod. She wrapped her arm around Cass, and Weld and Sparky if they joined them too, grinning at Roy with a look of smug determination.
"Let's go kick butt, Champions!"
Gwen gavefist bumps to anyone that would accept them, then took a few steps backwards to the rooftop edge, and... fell backwards, out of sight of the others. She went into free-fall down the back of their building before she decided it was the perfect moment to sling web and begin to swing. Gwen circled around the buildings, crossing the main road away from simulated cops and civilians, until she was on the rooftop of the target.
"Alrighty, Ghost-Spider... let's do what you do best."
She tried the door. Locked. No bother, it wasn't like she had expected it. Gwen checked the vent grates instead. If she could pull one of them off, then she would use that as her entrance instead.

Leslie grinned as Weld put them all into a team huddle before giving out fist bumps. Once the team spilt, she stuck out her tongue as she got a bit of a pre-game stretch, bending over to touch her toes before slowly moving up into an upwards stretch with her back arched. "Huh?" She said, noticing the (cute) punk girl that just walked in as she was leaning back. "New girl?" She said straightening herself back up before nodding as she approved of the girl's style. "You're a little late to the party, someone mind giving her the cram course?" Leslie waved as she turned away, jumping into an electrical box before appearing on another rooftop as if she were teleported, trying to get a better angle on the target building.
"Alright, let's see what we're working with here." She said assessing the power lines before finding a solid method for entry, a power box on the side of the building proved to be the least flashy way in. She strutted over to it and then disappeared again, this time into the metallic surface before shooting off into the building's wiring. She didn't want to power anything up, but she did get a feel for what was and wasn't hooked up. At the same time, she wanted to sense if there was anything running on batteries or jerry-rigged, like maybe a bomb or something. While she normally loved to charge straight into situations, she didn't want to come off like a dumbass in front of everyone.

Kyle tilted his head as the warm vista was replaced with the cold shade of the city, and everyone suddenly looked so much more ready, though his clothes did not change at all, he hoped that at least all the dirt was also simulated, laundry day is quite far. He carefully put his notebook away as he watched his partners roll out, then took a peek down at ground level. Well, it was great that all the people were distracted by the conmotion next door. Kyle carefully peeked from the edge of the rooftops and turned around to climb down the building's many crannies and windowsills, slowly and boorishly, at least for a bit, he didn't want to leap from such a height with the risk of overshooting his own legs and destroying the pavement.
He sprung off from the wall, horizontally, righting himself up in a frontflip and making a traditional movie landing a few feet back from the crowd. Wow, it, actually hurt a bit to do that, but it still felt cozy to having pulled it off. The lizard got up and both tucked his shirt back in before carefully, yet heedlessly, making it through the picket line, the back of his tail gently brushing people aside as he did to leave room open, and the tip staying high to beckon everyone's attention. He approached the head negotiator by simply standing within his line of sight, and gently extending his hands for him to hand over the device for a moment, while giving a completely silent thumbs up while he simply stared in expectation. If acepted, he would tap the device a couple of times with his finger to test it before handing it over to Weld, who should be joining him shortly.

There was no way Weld would ever miss the opportunity to make a fist bump! So that was what he did when Gwen offered it to him.
"Maybe we should..." he started as the new person arrived, "Hi, Mania, good to see you. Sweet, I did not know you would be part of this training; we would use more muscle.". He was just about to say more when... Kyle left the roof and started going down to the street. So instead, he looked to Roy, "Sir, if it's okay, can Mania come with Kyle and me? I can catch her up to speed on what's going on." He gave Mania one of his most disarming silvery grins, along with a thumbs up, before dropping of the roof after Kyla.
Unlike Kyle, however, Weld was not that worried about getting hurt when he landed... well... the road was more hurt than him as the impact caused the asphalt to crack, creating a small crater. "Why did we have to start atop the roof?" He muttered, brushing some road dust off himself before following Kyle.
"Yo!" He greeted the present law enforcement, "Looks like you could use a hand, officers. Were from the Champions, Robot sent us." If this were an official mission, which it was supposed to mimic, then it would make sense if Robot had sent them, so saying that did not feel out of line with the lore of this little adventure story. He blinked a few times when Kyle gave him the megaphone.
"Thanks," he said with a friendly grin before looking at the officers. "So, what have they been saying so far?" He asked, wanting to know what to work with before he took to using his silver tongue... which was less figurative in his case.

Batgirl remained still long enough for Ghost-Spider to pass a fist-bump to her (she seemed familiar with them? she was ready to give one herself) before she quickly moved to her own position. Their surroundings were still transitioning by the time she was already in the air, dovetailing down to her position at the rear entrance to the building that inexplicably manifested before them, security and all. She worked quickly, checking her corners and diminishing her profile as soon as she landed. The door, locked. For a moment, her thoughts went to how she would overcome this obstacle. Tools, to breach the door, came first. Using the alternative entrance, once she spotted it, came second.
Without hesitation, Batgirl moved towards and (hopefully, without much resistance) through the window. There was not time - nor ability - to determine the risk of using an ingress when there was no way to see what was on the other side. Attempting to breach the locked door was, comparatively, much riskier.
And much less fun.

Roy bites back a smile at Gwen's smug little look and grin. He knows he can't show favoritism for the champions' sake and hers. Not that she's his favorite. That title belongs to whoever does the best on this mission of theirs. He tracks her as she dramatically falls backwards off the rooftop and he hears the soft thwip of her webshooters. Show off.Arsenal watches the door open to reveal another potential student if her apparent youth is anything to go by. He pins her in place with bored, unimpressed blue eyes as he hears the team around him gradually take off. Some mention the new girl and others do not. Weld's interaction gives him the most information in his familiarity with the girl, a basic idea of her strengths, and name. Roy fully plans on putting the young man through leadership training. Here he is, taking on the responsibilities of a teammate. Again. StarbucksThe man pockets his knife before lifting his riffle, checking the safety on it, and clicking it off. Arsenal looks up at Mania with the stiff expression of a man who wants nothing more than to not be here. His southern twang is hard like steel as he says, "Sign outside the door says no food or drinks allowed in here. This place costs more than you or I will ever make in our lives. Put that cup outside and close the door."
He would wait a beat for her to comply, double-check that Little Bat is not hanging around, and then say, "You can either join Weld and catch up on the mission from him or you can stay and run my part of the mission with me. You don't need information for that. Make a choice." Casper The vent grates are not terribly secure, and the grate gives in with little more than a gentle tug from the Spider. It is cramped and full of debris, yet wide enough for Ghost to slip through if she so chooses. If she picks the vent She would quickly realize the network is rather straightforward. The only real question is which side does she try to investigate first? The rooms on the left side or the rooms on the right side? Does she investigate all 3 rooms before making a choice or does she dive into the first one? If she declines the vent A quick scan of the rooftop would reveal that the second-story windows are the next best option. There is a cracked window on the front of the building, however, it is in sight of the crowd below. There are also windows on the back of the building, however, none are currently open. SparkyAs she connects to the wiring, Leslie quickly discovers that the information gathered has been correct. While the lines themselves were still mostly connected between buildings, the block itself was cut off from external power. Their source of power is a generator in the next building over.
As for traps or bombs, she quickly finds there is nothing of the sort. At least, not any that are powered by electricity. There are numerous devices that do run on battery power, however, it is clear from their movement that those are cell batteries. There are also far fewer than the promised 8 goons plus Sanchez. A mere total of 4. Two are posted on the bottom floor and two at the top.
Agent Weld & Agent Kyle The crowd parts with soft sounds of surprise as Kyle makes a path through them. They are mindful of the tail as it brushes against them and they do leave that path open in his wake. None seem willing to stand in his way or disobey the silent instructions. They find out quickly why as Weld makes his way through them to catch up to Kyle.
The negotiator is a tall man nearing middle age, strands of stringy hair clinging to his face. He frowns at Kyle as he hands over the megaphone, expression curious and confused. "Name's Vachelli. Can I help yous? I'm negotiatin here," Vachelli grouses as he looks the two Champions up and down. He seems to recognize both the team name and Robot. He heaves a heavy sigh before gesturing at the building.
"Sanchez up tha ain't givin us nothin. He just wants a million dollars and a car that ain't got more than 10k miles on it." A thick hand brushes his hair from his face. "What's ya plan, kid-" He pauses and turns 'kid' into a plural with a strained, "Sss?" Little BatThe window slides open silently and without resistance. Someone's been using it frequently for the sill to be so clean and for it to be unlocked. As Cass slips into the building like a shadow, she would notice that she is in some type of breakroom. There is a couch to the left surrounded by dilapidated vending machines. On the right is a door indicating it is for the empoloyee bathrooms.
Next to her is a small table with an ashtray and a still burning cigarette. Across the room from her is a door that, according to the blueprints, leads out into the main office area. Above the doorway is the entrance to the vent system.

Gwen grimaced as she navigated her way into the vent, even though the debris was simulated.
"Gross... couldn't they simulated somewhere clean?"
She slipped through with ease, stopping at the interception. Three rooms... she would need to figure out what was in each one. Slow and methodical, that's what Weld would do, or taking notes on every detail, like Kyle. Gwen places a hand on the left-hand grate, carefully pulling it away from the metal.
She crawled into the other room, sticking to the ceiling, to get the best view of the first room.

After successfully scouting the building, Leslie found her way back outside. She waved over to the police setup, noticing Weld among others as she casually walked over to them. "Yo, I scouted the building. Figure crawly or sneaky will find any traps I couldn't detect. But I did find out something special." Leslie grinned with some sing song. "There are in fact not 9 bad guys... but 5." She said before tracing out the building with some electricity in the air in front of her. "2 bums are guarding the downstairs, 2 at the top with the boss." She said, pointing at two spots on her little 3D light show. She looked back at the building and then back at her diagram. "Bats is here... and Spider is here." She said before pointing at two other spots.
