Kachiya was at the many training facilities within UA. She had reached out to Sensei Ritters and wondered if he could meet with her ahead of time. It seemed like a silly thought then, but he agreed to meet her! They set a date and time and... here she was.
For most, it probably wouldn't come to mind however for Kachiya, meeting the teacher ahead of time was calming, understanding how things would work here, how her schedule would be ect. All those things calmed her, gave her a sense of security. She was always a meticulous planner, especially recently, as she had to carefully plan out her day to get the most effective training in that she could.
She checked her phone... it was still early, no need to be anxious right? But she was. She took deep breaths like she had learned from Tanzo and continued to patiently wait. There was no rush after all

The training area Kachiya arrived at was a spacious arena, decorated with over a dozen large apparatuses. Each of them were obscured in silhouettes, which cast abstract shadows over the well-lit floor. Some of these objects were positioned on the walls and even the ceiling, though no less obscured. If Kachiya approached any of them, she would be able to feel the silhouettes, which were themselves made of a soft, ethereal fabric that captured light, which is why it was impossible to see what lied underneath. Kachiya would not be alone for long. At the far end of the chamber, double doors were opened with a loud creak. The large, familiar form of Giga Bite emerged, red tie and all. He waved briefly at Kachiya before making his way over at a moderate peace. Moderate, though for his size and speed, Giga Bite cleared the distance between them in a matter of seconds. Once he was in front of Kachiya, Klaus squatted down slav-style, with his four arms draped along the ground. It brought him (closer to) eye-level with the girl. His smaller mandibles clacked in what sounded like a formal greeting. "Guten morgen, Kachiya. How are you feeling today?"

Kachiya felt excessively nervous, she wanted the school year to start off with a bang. She wanted to make a good impression and the thought of her being at the top of her class loomed over her head.
She needed to find a sense of normalcy, stability she once had at home however she wouldn't be alone with her thoughts for to long, as she would spot a massive Beetle coming towards her. She knew exactly who this was, and she smiled when he stopped
"good afternoon sensei. Im... nervous i guess?"
She took a deep breath, collecting herself before continuing
"I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with me. I know youre busy, preparing for the new year and all. Theres alot to prepare for, and I wanted to start the new year perfectly. "
She spoke softly, but there was a determination to her, one she never felt for herself before. It was a level of resolve that she first felt when meeting with Akemi for the first time.
"I've been doing alot of training over the past few months but... i still feel like I'm far behind my peers and, because of the exam results, i feel like all eyes are going to be on me."
She had cleared her throat and blushed, feeling as if she had spoken to much
"Sumimasen, i didnt mean to bombard you with all that, I really just wanted to meet you in person ahead of time, and hopefully get some training in?"
She asked, giving the teacher a big bow

Klaus waited until Kachiya was finished speaking before he responded. He shook his head, clicking his smaller mandibles. It sounded like he was tutting. "Kachiya, nerves are to be expected. You are about to attend U.A., a prestigious school for upcoming Heroes. I would be more worried if you did not have any concerns." Klaus slowly moved one of his arms towards Kachiya, making sure that she saw what he was trying to do. The arm moved to Kachiya's side, gently pressing upon her shoulders in a reassuring gesture. His hand was easily larger than her entire body. And yet, there was nothing but gentle care behind Klaus' reputation.
"Kachiya, you are capable of great things. You would not be here if that was not true. I am glad that you were interested in meeting me ahead of time. Even this small conversation has been delightful." Klaus retracted his arm from Kachiyu to return her personal space to her. "Now, training can mean many things. What would you like help with before the school year begins?"

Kachiyas let out a breath, one she didn't even know she was holding as gigabyte comforted her. Hearing it from an older student was one thing, but a teacher was something else completely different. She would smile at the teacher, and give him a nod looking away, ruffling her own hair feeling weirdly sheepish as she was acknowledged in this way
"I... ive heard people say that but... everyone else just seems so much more talented"
She admitted, as she was given her personal space back. He was a kind, encouraging teacher. She was more excited now, to be growing under his care. Then, he got to the matter at hand. Why she wanted to meet him to begin with
"well.. ive been practicing using my quirk to get better at it, but.. I still dont have the best control of it and... my physical fitness could use some work. I was really winded at the end of the exam. Everyone else also seemed to have their own style of fighting and... idk... o just dont. I feel like all the other students in my class have so much more figured out than I do, and I gotta do what i can to catch up to them"

"Kachiya, have you ever stopped to think that those students may feel the same? That they may even feel that way about you?" It was strange, hearing the same words that had been spoken to him, all those years ago. How little things changed, it seemed.
Klaus glanced over Kachiya, taking in the parts of her that she was concerned about. He would not lie to her, for good or ill. It was his turn to admit truth in what she said, if only in part. Even with that, Klaus did not seem deterred in his measure of his student. He glossed over that strange onomatopoeia she had just used. The root of her concerns were clear. "You may be surprised to hear that most students in your place would be feeling the exact same way. Even those who would appear to be at the peak of their fitness, or control of their Quirk." Klaus tenderly moved his finger towards Kachiya's chest in a poking gesture. He was careful not to make contact; after all, the size disparity alone was telling. "Nerves has a much greater influence over your performance than many people realize. Even licensed Pro Heroes succumb to doubt every now and again. Do not allow these concerns to overwhelm you, but do not ignore them, either. They are challenges to be overcome. It is why you are here at U.A., to learn how to overcome these challenges. I am here to help you. The rest of the faculty, even your fellow students. We all work together to..."
Klaus took a step back. His four arms cris-crossed against his chest, which puffed out to at least one and a half times its ordinary size. Klaus' large form seemed to be a relaxed state of his true potential. He towered before, but this... well, it was like he was straight out of a giant monster movie. His antennae flared, and his mandibles clicked, first his large ones, then the smaller set. "Go Beyond. Plus Ultra!"
He let the moment sink in. Once he had witnessed how Kachiya reacted to this display, the Beetle Hero shrugged his shoulders, allowing himself to revert to his (slightly) smaller size. "Speaking practically, however, I do not think we need to worry about a "fighting style", yet. That is not as important as other areas for improvement. For instance, you said you were winded by the end of the exam. That test is designed to push prospective students to their very limits. Still, it is important to moderate your exertion when you can. Did you have a fitness routine before coming to U.A.?"

Kachiya would look down, as she clasped her hands behind her back and started rocking on her heels as she shook her head at the teachers first question to her
"well, i guess not"
She would respond as he continued to talk. She listened to what he said, but she scratched her head as he mentioned other students also had the same struggles she did. She found it hard to believe at first, but her thoughts went to tanzo, and the images he showed her of his first art peices... and this was a teacher, so it was likely that he knew what he was talking about.
But then he went on to talk about how even pro-heros felt that way sometimes which caused her eyes to widen
"OMG, for realz?"
She would ask, it seemed almost too good to be true
"even pro-heros get nervous?"
She felt a bit more confidence all of a sudden as he talked about everyone working together. When he did the plus ultra pose, though, Kachiya couldn't help but take a small step back. He was massive! She didn't know Gigabyte could get this big! In a weird way, it was confidence inspiring. She could admit that that particular form was a bit terrifying but that form protecting them was comforting. She wanted to be able to instill that kind of comfort with others as well.
She had a massive smile on her face, and reciprocated the teacher shortly after yelling
"Go beyond! Plus Ultra!"
Doing the pose.... made her feel power, like she could do more. Talking with Gigabyte had her feeling like she could do more. She had a bit more confident now, than she did just a few moments ago.
He would come down from the pose, and so would she. Then, he would continue with his advice. She became a bit sheepish again, as she would shake her head
"Not really no, i just like... did exercises that i figured were needed. A little bit of cardio, a little bit of physical training along with practing my quirk, it was all kinda like... jumbled together and stuff"

Seeing his words resonate with the girl soothed Klaus' heart. This was why he was still here, in Japan. Helping the new generations of heroes recognize the potential within them gave him indescribable elation. There was nothing more precious in the world than a child's smile. It was all the more precious when they found that smile themselves. Even now, Klaus could feel his own nerves melt away. These children completed him in a way that they would never know.
Klaus nodded, his lesser mandibles clicking twice in succession. It sounded like... approval? Sort of. There weren't many that understood the intricacies of his speech. "That is understandable. Unless you have been an athlete in prior schooling or your extracurriculars, adapting to the regimen of a hero, even one in training, can be daunting. We will take it a little bit at the time. If at any point you feel overwhelmed, please let me know, Kachiya. While your performance in the entrance exam speaks for itself, I do not know your limits personally. Now."
Klaus took another step back, giving Kachiya proper space this time. He made an underhanded gesture with his dominant right arm, encouraging her to proceed. "Show me some examples of the exercises you would normally do. This is a judgment-free zone." The Pro Hero's antennae twitched in excitement. Kachiya had not even begun, and Giga Bite already looked like he was ready to congratulate the girl. To think that she was the only student in his class that had taken the initiative to come to him...!

Kachiya cocked her head a bit, as Klaus cracked his mandibles. It sounded similar to the one earlier but... it was much shorter. It didn't feel like she was being judge, though and he was accepting of her, giving out solid advice. Normally, she would feel self conscious about showing others her work out routine but here, she would just simply take a deep breath and start with her physical work out regimen.
She would start with some jumping Jack's, doing about 20 of those before taking a few minutes of a breather to do 15 push-ups. Her form was off, however her rump to high up in the air and, even if her knees were off the ground, she wasn't going all the way down. After that she would do 10 sit-ups with her hands behind her head, then she would jog in place for 5 minutes.
She was breathing rather heavily after this first round, taking a few more minutes to rest before doing that rotation all over again.

As Kachiya went about her workout routine, Klaus was still. So still, he would have seemed like a statue, if not for his colorful features. He said nothing, either, keeping his thoughts to himself. For what it was worth, she was performing better than what he had expected. There was plenty to work with here.
Once Kachiya had finished her rotation a second time, Klaus raised an arm to signal her to stop. He stepped forward, getting down to her level again. "That was good, Kachiya. You had variety, and a sense of repetitions to set for yourself. That is the foundation. My first piece of advice is to pace yourself. I saw that you were struggling towards the end of your first rotation. You should not rush through your exercises. Committing time to the exercise is important, as is the form. The exercise form is my second piece of advice. I noticed that you were having difficulty with your push-ups. Has that been a problem for you in the past?"

Normally, she would do three of these before taking a break. It would be about her limit, but she would have been told to stop after finishing the rotation a second time.
She was winded, and felt a bit fatigued, opting to sit on the floor as she took her breather and listening to what Mr. Ritter was saying.
Pacing and form. Don't go to fast, don't go to slow. Got it, she would keep that in mind. She was confused, though when he talked about her push-ups thinking back to when she was a kid
"I used to only do girl push ups, i didnt do real ones until recently"
She admitted. She was praised, though. And that made her feel good, like things were going in the right direction

While Kachiya took to the floor to continue resting from her repetitions, Klaus remained standing, his dominant arms pressed into the ground in front of him in a manner similar to gorillas. He did not have much to add to Kachiya’s explanations… not at first, anyway.
Klaus’ antennae twitched. “Kachiya, tell me, if you would: why do you call them “girl” push-ups? I do not understand the phrase.”

Kachiya had pulled her legs up, wrapped her arms around them and rested her chin on her knees as she looked up to Klaus with a confused look on her face
"everyone calls them that. You never heard of them before?"
She paused for a minute, deep in thought. It was surprising to her, that he didn't know about these things
"well, uhm... girl push-ups are done with your knees on the floor like this"
She demonstrated what one would look like before going back to the position she was in
"its easier to do, but it doesnt do much in building up your muscles because of that... or something. It takes less power to do. They sometimes say it to guys to make them feel less manly because guys are stronger then girls"
She stated, a contemplative look on her face
"guys who do girl push-ups are weak like girls."
She finished... well, saying it like that made it seem like guys were better and stronger than girls but... that's just how things were, right?

Klaus appeared impassive to Kachiya's claims to his ignorance. They could be true, they could be untrue. He watched Kachiya perform the "girl push-ups", as she had called them, with the same level of indifference. Once she had finished her explanation, he clicked his greater set of mandibles, which generated a more distinct clacking noise.
"Are girls weaker than boys, Kachiya?"

Kachiya looked over GB confused. He was unreadable, looking stone-faced throughout. It was as if her questions didn't phase her nor did she get an answer from him.... but... she felt like she shouldn't push the issue. He was the teacher, after all.
She sat there, wondering what Mr Gigabyte was thinking, jumping a bit in surprise as a larger sound came out of him, as he clacked his larger mandibles. Was she being scolded?
She felt a bit self conscious now, as he asked his next question which caught her off guard.
"Um... n-no? I think that boys and girls have different things they are better at... i guess. I... i think that....boys and girls can be equally determined to reach their goals if they want, but they would have different hurdles to overcome i guess?"
Even as she answered, she didn't seem completely confident in what she was saying. Like she was second guessing herself the entire time
