History
Whether Kris remembers their life before Toriel is largely irrelevant, given that they never talk about it. They were adopted into the Dreemurr home when they were a child, only slightly younger than Asriel, who was overjoyed to have a sibling to
There was that incident with the police department. The town already knows what happened, so there’s no need to talk about it. There were other incidents, too, here, there, everywhere. Kris doesn’t bother to remember them. It’s better that way. There were plenty of adventures to remember with Asriel and his friends instead. Being around Asriel was how Kris came to know most of the people in town. It was because of this that Kris started to be known for being Asriel’s sibling. Someone very wonderful. There was nothing official about it. It simply… happened.
These times, too, eventually drew to a close. Asriel was growing up into his own monster. He was going to college. Kris had slowly been inheriting their brother’s things, though mostly by accident. They made sure to leave their brother’s things alone. They would be ready for him when he came back. Until then, it was just Kris and Toriel at the house. They had chosen a quaint, quiet life in Starlight Sanctum.
No one can choose who they are in this world.
Appearance

Physical Appearance
Kris isn’t much to look at. They’re a disheveled teenager, with yellow skin and nary a trace of muscle on their limp noodle of a body. The dark hair on their head is more like a mop, perpetually draped over their head. Their red eyes are constantly covered by their thick bangs, but that doesn’t stop them from seeing… somehow. They’re a little on the short side, standing at around 5’7”. They don’t talk about how much they weigh, but given their outward appearance, odds are good that they could be 100 pounds soaking wet on a good day. It doesn’t take a Susie to push Kris around.
Clothing/Armor
Kris’ fashion is pretty single-minded. They wear the same outfit every day, a green- and yellow-striped long sleeve shirt and generic pants. If it’s cold out, they might break out a hoodie, the warmer equivalent of that green- and yellow-striped ensemble. All of Kris’ clothes are hand-me-downs from Asriel.
When Kris ACTs as a Wielder, they take on an otherworldly appearance. Their yellow skin turns a pale blue, and their hair takes on a similar tinge. Their body looks far more haggard than it normally does; at times, it appears corpselike. They become clad in surreal knightly armor, including a distinct magenta scarf and a special symbol emblazoned on their breastplate.
Weapon(s)
Kris does not have any weapons. Most of the time.

Personality
General Personality
Kris is a difficult person to read. THey don’t talk much, and when they do talk, it’s often layered in irony that makes it unclear what they’re actually serious about. At times, Kris will have an aloof sincerity while spending time with their friends. Other times, they’re drifting through life in a listless haze. The two patterns intermingle so often that those around Kris have come to accept it as their natural state. Kris is a human in a monster’s world. Who knows how their kind is supposed to behave?
Kris seldom lets anyone in on what’s going on upstairs. Everyone else leads much more interesting lives. Kris was just the adopted sibling to the most popular kid in town, the kid who has grown up and moved on to bigger and better things. They had friends… osrt of. Their life was a long line of sort ofs. That was fine. That was simply they way things were. You don’t get to choose who you are in this world.
Likes/Dislikes
- Sleeping. Playing the piano. Super Smashing Fighters. Eating chocolate.
- Talking. Going to school. The unknown. Puppets.
Dreams/Goals
Kris yearns for a chill, easygoing life, but more than anything, they yearn for freedom.
Abilities
Skills
ACT
Kris has an uncanny ability to get others to do what they ask of them. When they compel others to ACT, their voice can sound unlike themselves.
Dream Warrior
Kris is pretty good with a sword. They’ve never needed to use a sword, though. But deep within, they know that they could.
Magic
Kris frequently practices “magic” with their classmate, Catti. This isn’t actual magic. Everyone in Starlight Sanctum knows that humans can’t use magic. Kris likes to pretend, though, and Catti is a good friend to indulge them. Every now and then, Kris dreams that they’re secretly a magical warrior from a distant land. But they’re just that. Dreams.
Bond Information
Friends/Allies
Toriel
The closest thing Kris has to a mother. She is their legal guardian, and teaches the younger classes of students at the school. Toriel cares fiercely for her children. Her sense of humor is… lost on Kris.
Asriel
Kris’ older stepbrother, and their best friend. Kris can remember everything about him except his face. They don’t talk about him much, but it’s clear how much he means to Kris.
The Ducks
The four mischievous youngsters in Toriel’s class are well known to Kris, if only because of how often their mother talks about them at home. For better or worse, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby are often involved in Kris’ pranks around the town. Though they’re a wide margin apart from Kris by age, Kris enjoys their company.
Noelle Holiday
The daughter of the Mayor of Starlight Sanctum is friends with virtually everyone in town. She holds a closer friendship with Kris than most, enough that she confides in Kris whenever Susie is involved.
Max Goof
Max is too cool for Kris to hang out with, but they get along with him well enough. Toriel and Goofy are far too alike, to the point that they would often set up playdates for them and Asriel. That doesn’t really happen anymore.
Asgore Dreemurr
Kris’ estranged father figure. The former chief of Starlight Police now runs a flower shop on the other side of town. He tries to maintain a relationship with Kris… when Kris remembers to visit.
Rivals/Enemies
Susie
For as long as Kris can remember, they have been Susie’s victim of choice whenever she’s in a mood (which is most of the time). In spite of this inexplicable aggression towards them, Kris doesn’t top hanging out with Susie despite the clear and present risk to their health. Kris may have a bit of a death wish.
...
It’s only you.

You look out on the town. Everything is covered in macabre, illuminated only by that massive moon looming in the sky that is no moon at all. There was no warmth to be found here. And yet, you were not cold, either. Taking this all in, you felt numb. It was not a new sensation.
You had been fighting for a while now. You could not remember for how long. These shadowy monsters were as much a mystery as the weapon in your hands. This, too, felt numb. You only knew that somehow, this was right. Dreams were funny like that. It was the only explanation they could accept.
Now, you crossed blades with... someone. Their details couldn't be made out in this place. It didn't matter. You had to be fighting them for a reason. You were slowly gaining the advantage. You swung your sword that wasn't a sword more and more violently. They were barely holding on. Then, something gave. Your weapon went through them, clean and satisfying. You looked into their eyes one last time. Asriel smiled back.
thunk
Kris flailed, their body halfway between the bed and the floor. Another one. They looked up at the ceiling, teeth grit. They quietly cursed the thing no one could see. Then, they finished crawling back into bed. This time, they found peace quickly.
They were having butterscotch cinnamon pie tomorrow.
