She looked for a gap in the weather so they could run through in order to get to an awning over a storefront but Sicily only spotted a few. None of which were pet stores. It was alright though. Any cover away from the tree is better than none at all.
She scooped up Kitana and the fox in her arms then used her hair to create a temporary "cover" of sorts as the athletic girl prepped her body for a quick sprint. She took a deep breath then darted across the way into the mall and under the awning in a matter of seconds. Kitana probably could have done it quicker but Sicily couldn't pass up a chance to show off her skills to her partner and a lost little fox.
When the rain stopped pattering against her, she set Kitana down and let herself readjust with the fox in tow. Sicily was dripping wet from the rain, hands on her knees to catch her breath from the sprint. She tossed her head back and wriggled off the rain as best she could. "And thank you for riding the Sicily express."

Kitana blushed bright red as Sicily scooped her up and carried her through the rain. Gosh her girlfriend was strong, and up close like this she could really appreciate the contours of her muscles, the glistening of her cheeks in the rain, those multicolored eyes she loved so much…
When she was eventually put down it took Kitana a few moments to reboot. Eventually she cleared her throat and planted a kiss on Sicily’s cheek “what an amazing transportation service, I’ll have to ride more often~” she said

The young Sicily looked rather proud of herself. If this were a rescue mission, she was sure she'd get scored quite handsomely. But the mission wouldn't be complete without ensuring the safety and comfort of the people in her charge be they human or otherwise. She tossed back her hair, playing off Kitana's words quite coolly. "Well, it's a free service technically speaking as I'm paid by the cuteness of my passengers." she gave a thumbs up then flicked out a card she slipped into Kitana's grasp.
"Get what ya need to get and I'll stand guard here. My treat." said she with a quick wink and a brisk motion of placing her hands on her hips.

"I appreciate it, but I don't need any guarding, you can just come in with me... besides you should probably rein in my spending. If I go too crazy I'm sure your Mom will ask questions and I'm not about to trust myself with a blank check" Kitana chuckled "besides if you come in with me we can be closer together for longer that way."
Kitana would hardly wait for an answer before grabbing Sicily's hand and pulling her along into the first pet store she could find, chatting up the store's closest employee without hesitation or a hint of awkwardness as she learned what she needed to get for her new foxy friend, then dragging Sicily along to go get it all. Kitana's naturally extraverted nature was serving her well here it seemed

The moment those fingers interlaced with her own, Sicily realized what kind of experience she was in for. She softly gasped at the touch then exclaimed as she was taken along. She did have a point with the spending.But it wasn't her mother that would be asking questions, thankfully. It was going to be her brother who, at this point, might be getting notifications of what was being spent. She could only imagine both the confusion and amusement that would play on his face at this time which in turn made her giggle a little. It was going to be fun explaining...but... she smiled. It was going to make him happy, deep down. She just had a feeling.
The bag handling would be taken up by the twin snakes that graciously bore the burden with aplomb. After all, Sicily wanted her hands free to hold Kitana's. Like hell she would pass up a chance to do so! By the time they'd get finished, Sicily hoped the weather would clear up for the sake of Kitana and their newfound furry friend.
It was at this time that Sicily closed her eyes and took in the soft,subtle sounds the world made. She was made aware of her surroundings more acutely. She could even single out her own breathes along with Kitana's. She could swear she heard a heartbeat but maybe she was being a bit too confident in her hearing abilities at this time. It was surreal...to find herself in this situation where she wasn't being forced against her will. And she was smiling. Happy.
She squuezed the hand she held to reassure Kitana and her own self that she was here to stay.

Without Sicily reining Kitana's spending in, the fox girl blew through the first pet store and the next couple they visited like a furry whirlwind, ending up buying everything her new pet would need as well as an abundance of toys, bedding, treats, and other items to spoil her new little fox friend in. She didn't even have the reality check of carrying her bags to remind her not to go overboard, so by the time all was said and done Kitana looked at the hoard and paled a little bit
"Sicilyyyy you were supposed to stop me from going overboard." Kitana pouted, the fox meanwhile seemed quite content munching on a treat it had been given and voiced no complaints about how much it was being spoiled now. "I'm never gonna be able to pay you back for all this you know, my allowance isn't nearly large enough to even start repaying you..."

She snapped back to reality in time to catch the sight of an adorable pouting face belonging to Kitana. She shook her head. "That is my line; I'll never be able to repay you. Money is...hm...a trifle. While it does get alot of things, one thing it can never buy...least for me... was my freedom. You helped me realize what really matters. Normally,I'd be sweating bullets if I was spending money willy-nilly like this for fear of...her finding out. But right now, I'm helping another find their own freedom..." she eyed the little fox then smiled softly.
Then she looked to Kitana. "But if you insist on paying me back, I'm not going to stop you or question your method of repayment. So long as you're happy, that's all that matters to me."

"Man when you put it all like that now I'm not sure how to feel about paying you back..." Kitana said, pausing to pet the fox a bit "I guess I'll have to repay you by being the best girlfriend I can be. You'd better be ready because I'm going to be so awesome it blows you away"
Kitana put her hands on her hips and posed dramatically to emphasize her point. The fox picked up on this energy and posed regally on her shoulder for all of about 5 seconds before caving and returning to devouring its treat, kind of ruining the image.
Kitana couldn't keep the overly dramatic pose with a straight face for long either, laughing a bit and then leaning in to kiss Sicily on the cheek instead

Just seeing the two figures before here working in tandem to melt her heart. Her fingertips traced her own cheek then trailed to her lips where they lingered briefly. When her hand moved back down to her side, her lips formed into a warm smile. "Looking forward to that. Especially since you're already an awesome girlfriend. Can't wait to see what surprises ya got in store for me."
She brought her arm around Kitana and embraced her. "So did you get everything you need for this bundle of joy?"

"Everything and then some I'm sure" Kitana said, looking at all the bags they'd acquired "I checked the forecast, the rain is supposed to let up in a few hours, so we have some time to kill now. So long as we're back by curfew it should be fine if we stay out a bit longer than planned"

Her snakes hoisted the bags to a more comfy position. "Oooo a few hours, huh? What can we do for that long I wonder." she pondered bemusingly. Her hands went up Kitana's neck then gently stroked the back of her head. She murred in thought while the twin snakes observed Kitana's reaction. Once more, she took the time to enjoy her senses other than sight by closing her eyes. The comfort of knowing her partner was close at hand. The sounds she likely made from being petted. Then she smiled.
She knew exactly how to tease Kitana but only did as much to see what she would do. "Maybe get that gift for you...or maybe I got it while you were busy going hogwild with the spending? Mmmm..." Her finger made small circles on the back of Kitana's head to keep her guessing.

Kitana blushed "Babe please, we're in public" she protested... but her tail was wagging so she obviously didn't hate it. "besides unless you bought me a collar I doubt you could've bought it while I was shopping, you didn't let go of my hand the whole time and we only went into pet stores so..."

She chuckled. "I'm glad you were paying attention. In any case..." she lightly scratched Kitana's left ear as she trailed off to the outside. "...I'm gonna go grab a gift for you." She stopped in place then turned around with her hand outstretched. "I'll erm...need the card first if you don't mind." she smiled nervously, distantly regretting giving it to Kitana in the first place and not spending this much herself. But what was done was done...and the ball was in Kitana's court on how she wanted to give it back. Maybe she ought not to have teased her a little just then.

Kitana smiled at Sicily and teasingly held the card out of reach for a moment, but her curiosity about the gift won out. "Luckily for you I'm a curious fox, we both know I could keep this card away from you all day" she said with a chuckle as she handed the card over, then used her quirk to zoom forward to steal a kiss on Sicily's lips while demonstrating just how she could've kept the card away

Sicily stood there, blinking in disbelief before shaking her head with a smile. That girl. She could have easily dragged this out as long as she wanted to. Sicily had confidence in her speed but was nowhere near Kitana's where her quirk was involved and that was a part of that fluffy charm that warmed her heart.
She had already gotten her a custom-made picture and dolls. The gift this time had to be just as special or at least unique in the sense that it could surprise her. No use overthinking it. Carrying the bags was easily done so one more would be no sweat. She recalled something from a short time ago. When they first started to connect. Yeah. That would be perfect.
She spotted the shop she wanted to peruse then walked right on inside without a second thought. She was entirely confident and especially nostalgic as she picked up the gift in question. It would be a bit heavier than alot of the other bags she carried but that was fine. She decided to hide the bag in another one to hide what store she just got the gift from.
She then found a lone bench under some cover then sat down with a sigh of relief. "She's gonna love it." she said with heartfelt determination.
