Kitana would wait for about an hour before seeking Sicily out again, intending to give her plenty of time to acquire her gift without accidentally coming across her mid-purchase. It also gave her some time to hit up the food court and get them both something to munch on. She got treats for the twins as well, she knew the food all went to Sicily in the end but figured they'd enjoy getting to eat something themselves.
And so with four treats in hand she found Sicily's bench and zipped over with her quirk, minimizing the time she spent out of cover. It wasn't teleportation so she still got a little wet, but not nearly as much as she would've if she'd been properly rained on.
"Boop" Kitana said as she bent over and booped Sicily on the nose "thought you three might be hungry sooooo tada, I got us all food"
Kitana would present the treats to their recipients, then sat down next to Sicily and leaned into her as her tail wrapped around them both

All she could do was smile as her nose was booped. "Hey,you." She twin snakes Avernus and Stella graciously accepted their snacks,looking quite pleased with what Kitana had gotten them. She knew them well enough, after all. Her arm reassuringly came up around Kitana and held her side. She had the treat of her own in the other hand. The bag holding the gift remained disguised amongst the others, thought Sicily was tempted to subtly move the one to get Kitana to notice. But she held back and moved them about equally.
"Just having you around is food enough...for my soul, heh..." she added quickly. It was true, despite whatever phrasing came out of her mouth. "But a treat like this every now and again is a major perk."

"I'll be sure to feed your soul till it bursts then" Kitana chuckled, nibbling on her treat a bit "I went ahead and finished up my exchanges and stuff while you shopped too, so all my new outfits and stuff are replaced and ready to go. I'll have to show them off to you sometime soon. I think you're really gonna like some of them"

Sicily smiled. With the way Kitana spoke of them..."I'm pretty sure I will." On the other note, her face flushed a bit as she brought her lips close to Kitana's ear so that only she would hear. She whispered something incoherent but she was certain it would elicit a feeling that Sicily targeted specifically. It was clear even the snake heroine-in-training was embarrassed to say such a thing as she pulled away to resume her normal pose.
Her eyes were closed but one eye peeked open. "And don't you dare tell anyone else, okay?" she added with the slightest bit of huffiness.

Kitana listened to what Sicily whispered in her ear and went stiff as her face flushed bright red, going from zero to Kitana.exe has crashed in record time. She was so flustered the little fox friend on her shoulder began to panic thinking something was wrong.
"I... you... um... crikey... er... ah..." Kitana stammered, unable to string together two words or coherent thoughts now. Sicily had thoroughly short-circuited the fox-girl

Perhaps she had targeted the spot a little too well. Even after saying such a thing, Sicily herself was flooded with thoughts of "why did I say that?" several times over. Now that it was out there, there was no taking it back. She crammed the treat into her mouth to keep her from saying anything else right away, dusted off her hands, and then peered back to Kitana as she swallowed her food.
Taking a deep breath, she managed to calm herself down just a bit. Though it did nothing to dull the glow around her face.
The way Kitana spoke though managed to break the tension as she smiled then chuckled. "Crikey, huh? I'll have to remember that one." her hand reached down to give Kitana's own a reassuring squeeze.

Kitana was still too flustered to do words well, so she simply buried her face in Sicily's chest to hide how flushed her face was at least a bit. "Sh...shut up... you... no fair!" she protested with what words she could manage even as her tail wagged uncontrollably

Forget a short-circuit; Sicily was certain she'd given Kitana a complete and total system shutdown. Had she really said that?
Well, Kitana now knew how the ebony-skinned Sicily felt about one aspect. One could say Sicily might have said this out of the moment but she was certain of what she wanted to be included in her future. Kitana. But they were still students and still had a long ways to go to be heroes. Still, the fact Sicily settled on this only spoke volumes of her determination to see it through.
She hed her close with a gentle sigh. While pressed against her,Kitana could easily hear the heavy, resolute heartbeat that belonged to Sicily. It was like a resounding drum that told of her strength and the tenderness contained therein. "Just...stay there for as long as you need. I'm not going anywhere."

Kitana would take a while longer before she managed to compose herself enough to sit back up, though she was still blushing. She seemed troubled now though.
"I feel a bit guilty now... you said that with such confidence and determination but... I haven't thought that far ahead." Kitana admitted "I can easily see things ending up that way but... there's so much in front of us. And I don't really... plan ahead very well. I've always taken things as they come, only long term plan I ever made was running away from home with Dad to live here and become a hero... and even then I really didn't prep for the entrance exam very well or anything..."
Kitana's ears drooped "I do love you but... I don't know what the future holds like you do."

It wasn't wrong to live in the moment but now she felt how uncertain Kitana felt. Everything about her had been about living in the now whereas Sicily had been recently granted that freedom but had a ton of time to think things over as she was imprisoned. But things change and so do plans. But there was one thing the girl knew. "Hey. Look at me."she clasped a cheek of Kitana then stared into her eyes.
"I don't know what the future holds either but I am willing to fight for it alongside the one I consider closest to me. Plus, it would be so awesome if you were in it."
She placed the bag between them. She unveiled the contents as a rather hefty bookset; the Eleka Nascent series. The very same series that she was revealed to enjoy up on the rooftops. "I got these just for you." she smiled sweetly, "...as I want to want to have a grand adventure with you and face whatever comes our way."

"Gosh you're way too good for me" Kitana said "I want you in my future too, I know that much. That won't change, I may not have things thought out, but I'd have to be the world's biggest idiot to let you slip through my fingers... so don't you worry about that. I'm not going anywhere."
Kitana smiled softly at the books "I love it, you always come up with the most thoughtful gifts. I'm really gonna have to step up my game huh?"

It made her extremely happy to hear those words. "I'm not going anywhere." They were enough to have her rubs cheeks with Kitana. "You can bet if you do go anywhere, I'll be searching high and low to get you back safe. I'd fight tooth and nail to do it;no matter what." She lightly hissed affectionately.
"As for gifts, just your presence is gift enough...and your floof." she off-handedly stated which earned quizzical stares from the twin snakes as if saying to her that floof was the main gift in her eyes. She gave an accusatory stare back at them but relented when her fingers found Kitana's ears which were lightly petted.

Kitana shivered a bit from Sicily rubbing her ears, they weren't as sensitive as her tail was, but they still had a lot of nerve endings there. "I'll have to be sure to keep you away from any floofier mutants, I might get replaced" she joked "I'm not sure I could compete with your love of floof if I got out-floofed"

"I dunno..." she playfully mused, "...I don't think there is anyone floofier than you and even if there were, I have eyes only for yours." She turned on a bit of her charm as she made direct eye-contact with Kitana. "Nah, I like what I got around me right now just fine." Her eyes stared deep into Kitana's as a means of both charming and assuring her of the devotion she had for her in droves. She blinked softly and slowly. As far as she was concerned, only Kitana existed currently. She was aware of their newly found fluffy friend still but her eyes were zeroed in on Kitana's.

Kitana blushed and stammered as Sicily made that intense eye contact "n-not fair you know I can't argue when you look at me like that..." she said sheepishly as she practically melted in Sicily's arms
