"Wasn't given a choice. My parents tried and failed to cut it as UA applicants and so they were dead set on me going here. No other school would've been acceptable" Shizo said with a shrug "just another part of grooming me to be the hero they couldn't be."
Shizo considered for a moment if maybe he shouldn't be so cavalier about the lifetime of abuse and grooming his parents put him through. But frankly he didn't feel like jumping through hoops to lie and pretend they weren't awful people. They were, and they didn't deserve to be shielded from people knowing that.

"Tch. If you're only here because of your parents, maybe you shouldn't be here at all."
Yoichi's amicable expression had stormed over as she turned to face Shizo. She hadn't forgiven any of them for the examination, nor had the two of them spoken since their brief but firey spat beforehand. Now, her dark eyes were laser focused on him, a scowl darkening her face.
"You don't know what kind of hero you want to be like. You only came here because your parents forced you. So what's your conviction? Just do what they say until you're a pro? Or will you be making excuses when you're fighting villains too? Oh, I don't even want to fight you, but my parents said..."
She turned forward, controlling her breathing, feeling herself getting worked up over the affair. It was her mother's words... she clenched her fist. Control. Calm. Maintain.
"Anyway. It's not like none of the rest of us have problems with parents. I want to become a Hero because I'm proving I can it do without my mother's influence. I want to be a hero who proves herself to be the very best on my own terms!"

"You're not wrong. I'm not as convicted as the rest of you. I wasn't sent here by choice and I don't have a strong vision for what kind of hero I want to be just yet." Shizo said, if Yoichi's anger was effecting him he didn't show it yet "that being said I do have my own convictions. I've gone along doing what they say my whole life, but if I truly didn't want to become a hero I could've rebelled and found another path and not come here."
Shizo's expression began to change as he spoke, some conviction finally seeping into his voice "But I do want to become a hero, getting here may not have been based on my own choices, but from here on those bastards have no say over anything I do, or what I become. I'm going to become my own hero, and I'll do it on my own merits rather than their manipulations or schemes. I guess it's similar to you. I want to reject their influence and do this on my own. I may not have much direction yet, but I know that much. It's not as solid of conviction as the rest of you or something I can articulate well, I admit that, and you're welcome to hate me for it, but I have my reasons for being here."

Karin had initially been planning on simply listening to the answers of the other students for this second question posed by the bored boy floating on the walls, but she covered her mouth with a hand while observing a girl with some real venom in her tone go at it with a boy who seemed to struggle with even attempting to convince himself with his own words that he wanted to be here. She idly wondered what kind of history they had prior to today’s class before deciding to speak up after settling on her phrasing of words. “If I may, I do not believe that anyone has parents present within this room? Therefore, I am not obligated to display any interest in them like I am with the others present. The only thing that should be of concern to you is the fact that you are now here, rather than any other baggage you might be holding onto.”
She glanced around the room, eyes briefly meeting their professor’s for a moment as she realized they had not done proper introductions yet, so Karin was unsure of how to address the students directly, quiet for a temporary moment before resuming her thoughts. “I must say I have to defer to the young lady in this case. If you hesitate to devote your full attention and effort, then are you not simply wasting your time even being here?”

Klaus would have an interesting class this year. That in itself was an empty statement; every year Class 1-A was interesting, full of heroic youths eager to prove their merits in a myriad of ways. It was no different here, particularly in how every year seemed to be different…
…and the same. Klaus had opted to spend the first few minutes in silence, so as to allow the students to behave as they believed they ought to. They needed to feel comfortable in the classroom, but more than that, he did not want them to try to limit their behavior under the pretense of consequences. This way, he could see these students for who they truly were, if only for a time.
At Sicily’s direct greeting to him, Klaus’ antennae twitched. If he could, he would have smiled. “An honor though it may be, Sicily… it is also my job. I would be here regardless.”
Yoichi… ah, yes. He nodded at her compliment. It was good that she was recognizing her own priorities, rather than what he may or may not think of her… though he wasn’t above flattery, either.
Koito. Koito in particular was someone to keep an eye on, if for nothing else than the fact that he had chosen to break the ice before anyone else. Even if it had not been his intention, the boy had grasped the exercise quickly: Social cohesion.
Naturally, this was easier said than done. The spirited dialogue that had begun was a testament to this. It was good to see where everyone stood on the matter. Though, the answers that were given… the Pro Hero’s antennae twitched, before his smaller set of mandibles clicked together twice to cut through the air.
“These are interesting points.” Klaus had a distinct German accent, even when speaking Japanese. The teacher started to pace at the head of the classroom. His massive arms made a dull thud with each impact, almost rhythmically so. “Everyone’s voice is valid here. So long as you are in my homeroom, you will not be made less of for speaking your mind.” It was not a suggestion to his students.
Klaus stopped pacing for a moment to gaze sternly over his students… “Everyone is here for a reason. Whatever that reason may be, it has been deemed worthy of entry into U.A.’s prestigious Hero track. Bear that in mind. Especially if those reasons sound similar to your own. That should make it easier to understand their situation.” … Klaus paused. He had been looking in Yoichi's direction, though that looked to include Karin as well.
The moment quickly passed. The beetle’s body language transitioned from stern disciplinarian to eager educator seamlessly. Three of his four arms were raised simultaneously, each pointing their index finger to the heavens ceiling. “Now! Though you have already begun talking amongst yourselves, none of you so much as gave your name! Why don’t we fix that right now? Each of you will stand up and introduce yourselves to your fellow students. While I am only requiring you to give your name, I urge you to tell us something about yourself. Even if it’s some trivial thing, like your favorite flavour of ice cream or what you would enjoy most about being a Hero or such.”
Before the students had much time to process what Klaus had just said, he clicked his smaller mandibles together in a “chop chop” manner, before pointing at Karin with a dominant arm. “You will go first. I do not mind in which order all of you introduce yourselves, but do not make me call on you! Heroes take initiative, after all!”

Karin's attention settled back onto their professor as he spent that moment to bring up his own thoughts, and presumably, begin the class. It was an excellent point, regardless of the students' various motivations and goals, all of them here were present because, in the end, they had stood atop the rest in the entrance and written examinations. Well, everyone else, that is. To that end, no matter what her first impressions of each student would end up being throughout the duration of this class and the rest of their first day, each held high potential. She was looking forward to seeing just to what extent that might be true.
And now for the topic that she had moreso been expecting, introductions. If anything, worst case scenario it would immediately serve to ostracize her from the rest of the class, but without any prior traditional schooling experience, she truly had no idea how her time at U.A. would end up going. And quite honestly, the uncertainty was part of the fun, anyway. "Yes, sensei." Karin offered a nod in response to the prompt as she stood up, but rather than remain in her seat, the girl decided to walk to the front of the classroom to look at each of her classmates face to face. Her tritonal eyes only provided a confident but gentle gaze.
"My currently given name is Karin Aokami of the Japanese Special Forces, first company, fourth platoon. I have been issued a transfer to U.A.'s class 1-A in accordance with the academy's recommendation policy, with the designation of joining the ranks of Japan's professional heroes and transitioning from private national security to a more... public face. Given my age, this was decided to be the appropriate assignment irrespective of experience or ability." She offered a deep bow to the rest of the class. "I look forward to working with you for the foreseeable future. I will be in your care." Standing back up, she offered a smile before returning to her seat. Yet, that smile held a complicated blend of emotions that would take a while for anyone else to unpack.

Oh man, these kids were weird... His head fizzled whenever Karin spoke. To him, the girl sounded like a grown adult speaking amongst teenagers and it was unnerving. Then there was Shiza who quite literally was there so he didn't get murdered by his parents. He'd let out a depleted sigh. Maybe he should've thrown the exam and gone to 1b. He wasn't quite sure he could carry on being a 1a classmate with pride. This wasn't how envisioned things at all. Koito regretted even opening his big mouth. He'd sit with his arms folded, not realizing he was sliding down the wall until his desk plinked against the ground. "Oh..." By this time Gigabite finally spoke up to get things started officially. Introductions??? That was easy!
When Karin gave her introduction, his brain fizzled. Special Forces??? Platoon??? What what what? He moreso honed in on when she was finished.
From the floor, the boy would pop up into the air, and float to the front with a full introduction ready. "The name's Koito Narasaka from Kure. I came here to learn how to become an excellent hero. My idol is Strive.. obviously, and my goal is become the number 1 hero! Fun facts about me, I've broken most of my bones when trying different sports, and my favorite food is actually spicy tuna. Let's have fun together!" The intro was all over the place, but that was okay cause it described him perfectly. He'd pause glancing at Yoichi with an daring smile. His oneupsmanship knew no bounds. To be number one, he'd have to take initiative just like sensei had just said. " OH! I'm gonna go ahead and nominate myself class representative if everyone's okay with that. Class pres, to be specific!"
With that, he'd walk back to his seat as if he didn't just subliminally challenge Yoichi in front of the whole class. Koito was more than satisfied as he picked the desk up and sat it up properly. He grinned big at the glouring girl with eyes that said, 'top that!'

All this drama. All this noise about parents. It made her hair, her snakes, raise up in agitation. She had already unpacked all of this baggage earlier to someone else. She wasn't about to spill her guts again about everything. Acceptance? She could understand that. Conviction? Maybe. She was just starting to understand but did the rest of these strangers need to know this was weighing in her head? Hell no. Her nails clutched into the desk and her eyes shut. The exams were a mixed bag and so was this cavalcade of seemingly emotionally damaged beings around her. Putting words into other people's mouths...declaring and deciding things for themselves without input from the rest...!
Sicily's fury peaked...and then came the time for when Klaus spoke. Her eyes snapped open yet her snakes remained aloft and quietly hissing. Everyone was here for a reason. Her anger eased off just a bit. Introductions were in order. Ugh. Duty-bound. She already had mixed feeling about this Karin but at least she knew what was up. Then came Koito which both irked and simply made her go a bit slack-jawed. Were they trying to paint a target on themselves like that by saying all those things?
It was bold, for sure. Before anyone else could get a turn to speak up, she mustered up the courage and grit to get this over with. She might as well plug the company into this introduction as well. Would get that woman off her back for a little while...
She bolted up from her chair without warning. The snakes from her hair slithered down to the ground and raised her aloft as she turned to meet the class with arms crossed. Then the remaining snakes in her hair arched outwards to make herself look a bit bigger. Her gold and crimson colored eyes looked downwards at the classroom. They were filled with a condescending glare and slightly narrowed as if to highlight her dwindling annoyance. Her head cocked to the side then sighed.
"I'll get this over with. I am Sicily Silverbright and was not born in Japan but moved here from overseas as the family business dictated. My family is the infamous Silverbright Industries that..." she paused, face contorting into one of disgust then boredom which reflected in her delivery which sounded painfully rehearsed, "...provides the brightest and most top-of-the-line hero support gear in all of Japan. if you haven't heard of them, you've been living under a rock without....(ugh)...a Silverbright light."
She placed two fingers on her forehead and grumbled. "Look, let's just all try to get along? I don't care where you're from, what you want to be, or what kind of example you hope to set. We're all here to be heroes; not emotional wrecks." She took a deep breath with a reassuring nudge from the twin snakes that were larger than the rest. Now something else about herself before she sat down. ugh. if she had to. "....the two are named Avernus and Stella." The two respective snakes bowed their heads and flicked out their tongues.
Before she descended, she made a small declaration as she side-eyed Koito. "I'll just...go ahead and nominate myself as well. No offense but...I feel like you might not know what you're getting yourself into..." she bluntly stated before retracting each of her snakes gracefully, seeming to float downward, then taking her seat with a heavy sigh.

Yoichi was quiet as Gigabite ended his stoic silence and confronted the glass. She frowned to herself. Introduction were one thing, but... something about herself? Yoichi bit her lip. She hadn't ever had ice cream. What was she supposed to say? What did she have, besides her life geared towards being the number one Hero? She took note of the other students who had introduced themselves so far.
Karin was... special forces? Private national security? Yoichi couldn't make a head or tail of it, but it sounded intense. She wondered what kind of life that was for a young girl. Would it be as lonely and stressful as her own upbringing?
Then there was Koito. Yoichi glowered at his overeagerness. Why didn't she think of putting herself forward as class president first? He constantly one-upped her, and it made her bristle with envious anger. Of course he had broken most of his bones! How come he had tried spicy tuna and she hadn't? It sounded delicious! Yoichi shot daggers at him as he returned to his desk.
Next, the girl Sicily, who wore snakes for hair and a haughty expression on her face. She sounded like she was from a rich family, and spoke of them like they were a chore. Yoichi felt herself sympathise with her, and a glow of respect that she didn't give into it, like Shizo. It was apparent that they all had issues, all the more reason for Yoichi to repress hers, forcing it deep down and not ever bringing it up. That was the healthy option.
Still... getting along? She glanced at the other students. Kachiya... she was nice. Koito was obnoxious. Shizo's dreams were lackluster. Karin gave her the creeps. Sicily came across haughty and above the rest of them. Four others had yet to show up. Yoichi pondered at this idea. Get along... but they were her rivals. That's what her mother had said. Crush your rivals, work your way to the top and be the number one without equal. Nobody truly powerful relies on friends. They exist just to hold you back! She frowned again. What was the right thing to do?
"Yoichi Gozen. If you don't know me now, you will."
She had risen to her feet without thinking. Her mother's words lay heavy on her tongue, like venom.
"I plan to become the number one. That makes you all obstacles in my way. I didn't spend my life training to be a hero to make friends. I'm here to be the best, without restraint or shackles to hold me back. Don't expect me to wait for any of you."
She glanced at Koito, eyes narrowing.
"Class president should be earned, not fallen into. I would nominate myself, but I think it should be a trial of strength that gets the position. Then we can truly prove who the best of us is!"

Shizo was glad the topic moved off of him. He didn't really want to make everyone hate him on the first day. This socializing thing was a lot harder when he didn't have what essentially amounted to a script for the conversation. Seemed he wasn't the only socially stunted person in the class though... honestly it sounded like everyone except maybe Koito so far had some issues... and the jury was out on if Koito had issues driving how energetic and open he was.
Karin was an interesting case, the mystery of who she was had now been solved, but it just raised more questions. Why was a teenager an ex-member of special forces? He wouldn't be surprised if there was a former child soldier who hailed from some war-torn nation. But she specifically said Japan's special forces. Why the hell was Japan employing kids as special forces operatives? His own upbringing was messed up but he had nothing on that.
Still he was sure more of that would come to light in time. Maybe it wasn't so bad? Who knew... for now...
"I'm Shizo Fulgent. As for an interesting fact about me... well I have a hobby of sewing and crafting things with cloth. I make plushies and stuff as well as clothing, I take requests if anyone wants anything..." Shizo said "as far as the class president thing goes. I don't really think a trial of strength is appropriate for that? Being able to win a fight has nothing to do with being able to organize the class or lead a group. That being said I do agree that the position should be earned. Anyone could nominate themselves, even I could do that... but the mark of someone deserving of the leadership role would be being able to convince other people to support your bid for it. If we're going to do this, an election seems like the way to go."
Shizo personally didn't want the president position. He was well aware he didn't have enough of a vision for his future to have any business leading others... he definitely didn't want it to turn into a brawl though. And he didn't want the position to just go to whoever spoke up first. Ideally whoever ended up leading the class would do so with the class's support, otherwise things were going to be tense and awkward all year. He wanted none of that drama... he'd run for the position himself if it seemed like that was how things were panning out. For now though he'd just retake his seat and let the introductions continue

Kachiya would blush profusely at the mention that she hadnt properly introduced herself to the class. She, of course had met with Gigabyte before classes properly happened but it was still appaling that she forgot something so basic.
"Sumimasen, Sensei! Im Kachiya Kuzu and uhm...
She paused, wondering what she could share with the class, not sure what she should share with the class. Given what has been talked about, speaking of her parents seemed out of the question. She didnt want to seem like she was boasting. She also wasnt sure what other people would call interesting, she wasnt interesting at all, in her mind. Then, thinking mention of shizos hobby, she figured something that was safe to share
"I uhmm... I love plushies. I have tons of them"
She stated, keeping her head down. She wanted no part in the debate that was happening, and was unsure if she wanted to run for president or would be a good one to begin with. No, the job was best saved for someone with more conviction

Why is everyone so intense?! It isn't helping him at all!
He was already late, of course, that much was clear. He was supposed to get up with plenty of time to spare to look as refreshed as he could for the first class, he set so many alarms so in advance that he neglected to check if they were set to the correct time zones. That was in the past, however, now, he was standing at the edge of the room, having quite a bit of trouble with the door, but not with what was behind it. He wasn't late, at least for any of the course's material, though all he could hear was competitive friction, he didn't exactly come here to prove himself to people other than himself, was that something he had to deal with.
Yann was already in trouble, he should just sigh and walk in and accept it, but it still was somewhat difficult. This quirk of him kept telling him to wait, as useful as it was damnable. Once upon a time he couldn't as much as resist it, he had done objectively bad, but 'harmless' thing to not get in trouble, despite his wholehearted attempts at sincerity, but he came here to leave that behind, sooner rather than later, hopefully. There was a lull in the intensity of the introduction, and so he finally seized the opportunity to open the door.
"Professór", Yann raised one hand while the other opened the sliding door. The rabbit looked only like half a mess; his uniform was as prim and proper as it could get, yet hislarge eyes looked like he doesn't know what sleep is, and that his fur refused to stay combed down. "I, uh, have no excuse, really, only can apologize. May I take my seat?", he requested of Klaus without much fuss.

((I apologize for the delay! Finals happened.))
Klaus was pleased to see that all of his students (those who had made it to their first day, anyway) were eager to introduce themselves to each other. He had several timid students last year, to the point that many of them hardly said a word. Clearly, this batch of students would not have that issue.
If anything, they were too eager.
One after another, their bold demonstrations and daring bravado cemented a theme that Klaus had not been expecting. To be frank, it was a bit overwhelming. Had the young generations changed so much in a single year, or were they simply that different from the children he had just passed on to 2-A? It was a puzzling thought to consider. Many of these introductions reminded him of that phenomenon Chisako-san had imparted to him when he was still learning the culture of Japan as a student of U.A. himself. Chuh... No. Shoo-nee? The nuances of the Japanese language were still lost on him.
Through this exercise of (formal) icebreaking, Klaus had confirmed many of his observations in the time before class had begun. Every year was different, but these students were quite unlike what his style was suited for... most of them, that is. Their first day had hardly begun and they already believed themselves to be heroes-in-the-making, if not fully-fledged heroes themselves. Time would tell how much that was the case.
Klaus raised a finger as he prepared to speak, then stopped. A distinct second lapsed before his antennae twitched. It was a sharper motion than before. Another second passed, and Klaus' smaller mandibles clicked together. His figure turned around to face the door with uncanny speed, just before Yann Durand stumbled through the door. Klaus did not stare at the boy long. The point was self-evident. "We will speak after class, Yann." He gestured at the empty desks, many of which were sandwiched between the other students. "Please join us."
While Yann decided where he was going to sit, Klaus spoke to the class as a whole. "I was going to bring this up later, but since many of you have expressed an interest in it, I suppose we can address it now. This homeroom is going to need a class representative. This is not a responsibility to be taken lightly. You will need to serve as an example for your entire class, to the rest of U.A. as well as outside the school. I am obligated by school policy to permit you to determine who your representative will be..."
Klaus clicked his smaller mandibles together. "But I will not permit you to do so on merits of strength or force. That is not the spirit of U.A., and it will not be the spirit of this homeroom. Otherwise, the floor is open. Please debate this amongst yourselves. I will weigh in if I need to."
((This next round will be split into two parts. The first part will showcase each character interested in running for class representative, who will include an effort to convince their peers to elect them, such as a speech or demonstration. The second part of the round will be everyone's responses to the election pitches and (eventually) deciding on a representative. The first part will only last up to a week as normal. However, the second part of this round may have deadline restrictions suspended for as long as the students remain on task. If the discussion becomes derailed, Giga Bite will choose for you.))

As Karin watched the rest of the class introduce themselves, she paid closer attention to their tone of voice and body language moreso than the words they were saying, although that was quite important too. Speaking to others on a personal level was one thing, but public speaking was another, and it was more of a reflection of the self in terms of how a person carried themselves. She did make a mental note of each student's fun fact, as compared to the rest of the more "standard" introduction template, this might be actually something to keep in mind for the future.
Koito Narasaka, the rambunctious fellow who had prompted the initial conversation in the first place. He seemed a bit airheaded in a different way than the traditional sense, with a high level of energy, and his outgoing spirit seemed a little more quirky than your stereotypical social butterfly. He had confidence, so that was something to pay attention to in order to see if he could back up his boasts, or if he would crumble on not being able to match his lofty expectations. Sicily Silverbright, a foreigner from the looks of it, seemed to already have a poor attitude, in addition to what appeared to be an interesting family situation that already did not come across as being fond of it. Perhaps the two properties were related. Karin was aware of the existence of Silverbright Industries in name alone, not that she particularly cared about their products or alleged reputation or anything else, but now that they were here in U.A., she idly wondered if this girl would start to relax a bit more or if she'd remain uptight and hard to interact with. Yoichi Gozen, little miss doom and gloom, looked to have quite the chip on her shoulder. Such an aggressive attitude would make cooperation initially difficult, so Karin pondered whether she would loosen up on realizing the difference in their ability, igniting a fire of motivation or if it would bring up some other issues. She made a mental note to try and talk to her later and see what was going on with her closed mentality, because it did not feel very natural... granted, Karin was probably the least qualified person to assess what 'normal' was. Shizo Fulgent, the boy who seemed to have motivation and self-esteem issues, at least seemed to come across better here in his introduction. Compared to those before him, he felt like he might be easier to get along with, provided that the topic of becoming a hero didn't rise up again. Like Sicily, he would be one to watch to see how his temperament would grow upon settling in at U.A over time. Kachiya Kuzu... seemed perhaps like the only individual that didn't fit in the class, in the sense that she actually appeared to be fairly ordinary, kind, and perhaps a bit shy, compared to everyone else's strong personalities. This girl might be a good starting point as someone to talk with so that Karin herself could adjust into what 'school life' was supposed to be. After all, this was all going to be a new experience for herself as well. And then this new student, much more drastic of a mutant than Sicily, who she didn't seem to catch his name... but being late wasn't a good sign for the first day of class. She wondered if he had personal circumstances, or if he was just absent-minded. Would he get an introduction too? If not, maybe she'd just have to ask later in their own time.
Professor Ritter seemed to also catch on to the popular conversation topic that had polluted their introduction session, the existence of a class representative or class president. It checked out suitably that he address it next, but unfortunately, his words seemed to reinforce the idea that it was actually important, something that Karin thought quite the opposite when hearing the topic be discussed. With such strong personalities in the room, however, she could probably still retain her own point of view anyway, but the end result on whoever else ended up securing the (personally meaningless) title might actually be something she'd have to weigh in on. Koito and Sicily were already pre-emptively excluded from that race in her mind already, from one bringing it up out of nowhere, to a self-nomination simply to contest the other's desire.
But first, Karin would raise her own hand, speaking up first as she gave an intentionally overly kind smile to Yoichi in particular. "While I appreciate your indirect nomination, Miss Gozen, I do not have any interest in representing the class nor the academy." Lowering her hand, the pink-haired girl scanned the rest of the room to observe her classmates. "Given that in the case of an election, many people will want to vote for themselves, I agree that it is in good conduct to have a deeper discussion about one's own personal motivations and desires to be the class representative. I do, however, hope for our sake that this goes beyond a surface level desire to be the face of the new generation." With a pointed gaze of her piercing eyes, Karin's attention settled on Koito, expecting him to pipe up as soon as he had the opportunity, but the floor was open to anyone else if they beat him to the punch. At least, from her classmates' interactions and body language in response to each other, it seemed like there were already several rivalries at hand. This truly was a competitive group of students. Karin expected no less of 1-A.

Gigabite's decision confused her. Weren't they here to prove themselves to be the strongest? Though... his words echoed from their earlier meeting. Being a Hero... he had inferred that it meant more than brute strength. Sometimes you had to put that aside and work with others. So who would make a good class president? If it wasn't strength, then... she frowned.
She watched with curiosity as a late comer entered their class. He was... adorable! She scowled at how cute he was, then scolded herself for thinking like that. He was a student... and had yet to enter her notorious list of potential and definite enemies. Yoichi simply mentally noted his soft ears and cotton tail, before she turned her head away.
The mention of her name sent a jolt of shock through her, as it was the name her mother was referred to, never her. She turned her head towards Karin, then scowled. So, she was as cocky and arrogant as Koito? That flashy smile cemented it in her mind. The girl was quiet because she thought she was better than the rest of them. Yoichi knew it was what she said a lot, but she also knew that she had a lot of work to keep up with the others. Karin seemed to hold a certainty that she was simply better. Yoichi clicked her tongue, turning back to the front. How wrong she was!
"If it's a vote, then let's hear from the people who want to stand!" she said, pointedly ignoring the fact Karin had said the same thing, if not in a long winded and word-vomit way. She folded her arms, eyes closed as if in deep concentration, or perhaps fury. "Whoever wants to show their worth, you better be ready to prove yourself to the rest of us!"
