Tsukiko heard the commotion outside and rushed out with the others. The situation had gotten weird fast, she didn't recognize these humanoid newcomers, but it didn't take much observation to distinguish them from the heartless. If they were a separate problem, she could deal with them next. Stepping forward, she manifested both her keyblades, Lucille had seen the light one already, but in her off hand was another, like a twin to the first, but dark, sharing a color scheme with the heartless and emitting a similar kind of power. She didn't waste time before attacking to explain why she wielded darkness however
Pointing the light keyblade at the group of flying heartless and leaving the ground based ones for the others for now, Tsukiko cast two spells fused together, air and fire. A fireball shot from the tip of the blade to strike the one in the center of the group, only to explode on impact into a wide range explosion and gust of wind as the air magic amplified and spread the fire.
"Hey newcomers! Get back, civilians shouldn't be fighting these things!" Tsukiko said as she charged in to get between the four odd beings and the heartless forces.

With Tsukiko's initial spell kicking things off, the blast overtook the aerial foes who then scattered with unearthly chattering. A few were even taken out. When they were, the telltale sign of a released heart flew up into the air then vanished to signify whoever's heart had been taken was returned to its rightful place. This made the Shadows turn their attention to Eda who flung a singular fireball at them that, like Tsukiko's attack, had managed to defeat quite a mass of Shadows. "Heh, not bad, kid." she commended Tsukiko The remainder of the Shadows sunk into the ground as they did and made for Lucille and was ready to test out the fruits of her training. "Civilians?!""Well, we're not usually combatants...""But we can fight just fine!""But they don't know that! Let's show them what four-fifths of the Feisty Five can do!"More Heartless emerged. The Soldiers Lucille had faced in the simulator were now real and lunged at Eda who was taken off-guard. These were suddenly crushed by a pair of magenta fists belonging to the one dubbed Ed. Then another had made its way over to Tsukiko who had charged into the center of the swarm. Before the Soldier could lunge at Tsukiko, a blade plunged straight thought the emblem on its body before fading to smoky blackness alongside the rising heart. "We can fight just fine, thank you." chided the one dubbed Moray. More aerial threats emerged in the form of the new emblem Heartless but were immediately dealt with by both a glowing playing card and coin. The squirrel-like being had a set of coins in their paw while the hatted one held a set a card between his fingers. Hooty wiggled his form to evade the Heartless, all while graciously keeping up the small talk. "Eda! Friends of yours?" "The Heartless or the four demons who are handling themselves just fine? Either way, the answer is no." she clapped her hands and made a barrier before her that a gaggle of Shadows crashed harmlessly against. Even more Heartless emerged which made Eda grunt with frustration. The Heartless were being unusually persistent today! And there was this...feeling in the air. Similar to how it felt when she opened the door to go between worlds. She didn't like this feeling all too well. It spelled trouble with a capital T. Trouble she wasn't sure she was quite ready to deal with. "Heads up, kids! Show me what all that fancy training of yours is all about!"

Lucille was initially hesitant to jump into the fray like the others. She had done practice against fake Heartless before but even with her training the nerves got to her. However eventually the decision would be made for her as several shadows surge in her direction. She sucks in a breath and quickly dashes back as one of the shadows claw at her, avoiding the attack before deftly countering with an upward slash of her blade, destroying the creature in one swift motion. She would dodge and counter another shadow, and then a third. After that the bulk of the group got to her and were attacking all at once. In the past she struggled in this kind of scenario, but what would the point of all these weeks of training be if she didn't improve?
She decided to focus on the magical energy Tsukiko had gifted her earlier, visualizing the frost slash she was able to do on that very first day of training. Come on, you can do this!
But even still she couldn't get the magic to work properly. She felt the chill of the cold around her but when she swings her blade it doesn't project like she wants it to. She did manage to slash through another shadow, but the swarm was upon her now. Shit. What was she doing wrong?!
She continues attempting to dodge and avoid the shadows as best she can, but with their sheer numbers they were landing hits on her which stung like hell. Was it her visualization? Did she not have the right emotions?
She vents her frustration by slashing through a few more shadows, each of them going down in one hit. At least she was strong enough to deal with them pretty readily, but she knew these creatures were the weakest of the Heartless. If she can't even do a simple frost slash how would she expect to be able to fight the larger ones? Ugh!
'What do you want from me, universe? Am I supposed to yell out some kind of cool name for the spell or something? Do I need to have Cal right next to me? Give me a sign, damn it!' Lucille thinks to herself in frustration.

Tsukiko was satisfied with her opening spell's results, it took out some of the aerial enemies, but more importantly it scattered them so they couldn't swarm anyone. Judging by how they looked they seemed roughly equivalent to soldier heartless, just airborne. The clanging noise they made backed that up. In that case the biggest threat they posed was if there were a lot of them, similar to shadows but a bit stronger and faster. So long as there weren't too many for anyone to keep track of at once, their attacks ought to be easy to block and counter.
Seemed the other... people? Whatever species they were, could hold their own too, that was a relief. She really only had the attention to spare to protect one person here, and that was Lucille, who seemed to be holding her own at first with her blade. So at first, Tsukiko focused on thinning the crowd around her, primarily parrying with her dark keyblade and countering with the light, she was still getting used to dual wielding but the utility of being able to delegate was helpful. She'd cut down a few soldiers and shadows before glancing over to Lucille, only to see her new friend being absolutely swarmed. She was still holding her own but she was taking damage.
"Shit, Lucille!" Tsukiko called, enduring the swipes of a few shadows as she pointed a keyblade towards her friend, casting cure on her to heal her injuries, then after parrying another soldier, she turned and cast haste on her friend as well, to give her a speed boost to help her with the swarming issue. As much as she'd love to help more directly, the swarms of heartless between them would make that difficult for now. Still, that ought to give her the breathing room to figure out how to utilize her magic more, or just continue using her blade with enhanced speed. And who knew, maybe feeling magic flow through her twice more with varying effects might help her insight into it.
That was all the focus she could spare though, as she took a soldier's kick to her side and stumbled back a few steps, she quickly countered to dispatch it, but she was surrounded now, having charged into the middle of it all and then taken the time to cast two spells towards an entirely different fight had put her in a dangerous position. She took a defensive stance with her twin blades, focusing on her own problems for now... the air felt odd though, and weirdly familiar. The last time she'd felt this vibe in the air was... but there was no way that was happening here right? Flashes of memory made her grip her blades tighter... if that thing showed itself again, she was ready this time. She had to thin the horde out more before it arrived though... should she use her ace in the hole? No... too soon. If it failed it'd leave her exhausted, best to save it for the big one. Best to let her magic recharge a bit too, she could cast plenty of spells, but if something big was coming she didn't want to waste any more on foes she could take out with blade strikes.
"hang in there Lucille, I'll be there soon" she said, more to herself than her friend, doubtful Lucille would hear in the din of battle.

Rolling into view next to Lucille would be Calaguru who reared its haunches and yipped defiantly at the threat. The Shadows themselves were easily rolled over by the Dream Eater, defeated in a puff of smoke. It continued to yip as if also letting Lucille herself know to not give up. Stay strong. Even as more emerged, the little waddling bundle of goodness would remain ever-ready. Even Eda was starting to realize the importance of this weird thing. Not only was it defending Lucille but King as well who was otherwise defenseless. It looked back to Lucille as if to confirm her drive. Her resolve.
The more these things appeared, the more anxious Eda was becoming. They had never come to the Boiling Isles in such force before. Was the Dream Eater? Was it because of these strangers? Or maybe a combination of the two? Either way, she hadn't felt the need to fully put in effort after all these years. Of running. Dang it. These were HER kids and she was the one to put them in danger, not other things!
The strangers were handily dealing with the threats but backed up against one another. It was clear that even with Tsukiko's help, they were all starting to get overwhelmed. Tsukiko's aid would help Lucille come to her senses and see Cal wiggling its hindquarters and looking to Lucille. It was as if it were asking her to get on its back. Hooty exclaimed as he was clearly having fun...and was starting to not as the Heartless swarmed. "Okay! I'm not having fun anymore! Ow! OW! OWAHHHH! EDA! These guys are getting too rough!"
"Ugh! Yeah, I KNOW!" Eda snapped with a swing of her staff as she dispatched more of the new arriving Heartless. Moray swiped at the ones closest to Tsukiko alongside Ed while Mooch and Ace kept the aerial ones in check. Everything was starting to feel dire but one thing was for sure; Calaguru seemed to have an idea that would turn the tides.

Lucille would grow more and more aggravated as the shadows kept giving her little reminders that her defence is faltering. The pain was a good teacher, but also incredibly irritating even as she continued to slash her way into the ever-increasing crowd of creatures. Why are they attacking in so much force? Was Cal's time spent in Scala Ad Caelum queueing up shadows waiting for the next time they'd leave or something?
Her musings would be interrupted as she parries an attack from another shadow and counters. You're thinking too much, Lucille. Just act!
Thankfully some respite would come when she felt the pain be alleviated by Tsukiko's spell, and shortly afterward the world would seem to slow down. Was this some kind of time warping spell? Or was it just improving her reaction times and this is how her mind is perceiving it? Whatever the case may be, she found it a lot easier to react to her attackers. With the breathing room it afforded her it allowed her to correct her sloppy form and start putting her training to proper use again. That's when Cal would roll up next to her and defeat some shadows on their own. Lucille smiles down at Cal, but tilts her head as Cal seems to have some kind of idea. Communicating it exclusively through yips is undoubtedly going to take a while due to her not being fluent in yip-ese but she does nod at Cal. "Alright, buddy, I trust you. What do I need to do?" She asks whilst simultaneously keeping some more shadows at bay.

Tsukiko grunted as another soldier slammed into her gut, winding her a bit, she dispatched it quickly, but it was clear the sheer numbers of the enemy were becoming a problem rapidly. She wanted to save her energy for the inevitable bigger heartless that was coming, but at this rate...
Tsukiko jumped back a bit, getting herself some distance as both her keyblades began to glow with their respective energies. Light and darkness radiating from them as she prepared for something, but then they faded as she saw Cal go to Lucille, and propose some sort of plan. If there was another option, saving her trump card for later was best. So instead she fired off a combination fire and air spell into a group near Cal and Lucille to clear it out and buy them time to execute whatever they were about to do.

Without delay, Calaguru would yip commandingly then ran a few quick circles around Lucille before zooming behind her and pushed against the back of her legs hard enough to seemingly trip her up but would in essence let her land upon Calaguru's back. The Dream Eater's back felt like a giant marshmallow that felt like it was steadily growing. In fact, the Dream Eater was steadily growing as a wispy essence surrounded it. In Lucille's hands were a set of reins made up of the same wispy light that enveloped Calaguru itself. As to where they were attached to, it appeared to vanish into the back of the Dream Eater. Lucille would hear a distant voice in her head briefly. "Let's have a little fun! Put on a happy face!" As it grew it caught the attention of Eda who stopped fighting for the moment to look with disbelief and confusion at the sight that was manifesting before her. "What in the?"Hooty marveled in awe "Such a wondrous sight has never graced my eyes before! What a glorious figure! Hoooot!" The four had also ceased activities momentarily with some even pointing. "Now there's something you don't see everyday.""I'll say...""Holy smokes!""I think we'd better um...get out of the way..."The Heartless had a rather big shadow looming before them as before Lucille knew it, her Dream Eater had grown several sizes and now rivaled the size of the Owl House. It stood proud, issuing its trademark cry. What kind of attack was it going to use? Even Eda was curious. Stupified, yes. But curious nonetheless. King's eyes were a glow with wonder at the massive thing that looked ready to deal with the threat at hand. And then, it bounced. Yes, bounced. It floated weightlessly into the air, giving Lucille a broader view of the Boiling Isles before the wobbly creature descended with its limbs outstretched and aiming to land atop the mass of Heartless...with a belly flop. With a mirthful yip, it collided with the ground and from its impact emerged a wispy shockwave that cleared out a bunch of the Heartless in its wake. But as soon as it bounced, it went back up and then came back down again with another bounce, each time causing a magical shockwave on impact that seemed the harmlessly pass through everything else but the Heartless that were being battered. Eda was slack jawed as she watched the spectacle. The four strangers were also quite frazzled. Here they panicked, thinking they'd need to move and when the shockwave did nothing to them but give them a show, they stood flabbergasted. All the while, the Dream Eater was calling out with cheerful cries. As if it were putting on a show and cast away worry and sadness. It was chasing away each and every single Heartless until none were left standing. Once the last bit had been flattened, Calaguru yipped and did once more bounce, going way up high this time then began to deflate. As it did, Lucille would notice their descent would be slowed and gave her a chance once more to appreciate the sights as they came in for a safe and fluffy landing. The Dream Eater itself looked a little worn out now, however.

Lucille watches in confusion as Cal circled around them before yelping in surprise as Cal knocks her backwards. She ends up landing on Cal's back, and hears a voice in her head. Was that Cal? They can talk to people telepathically? What did they mean by—
She wouldn't have the chance to continue her internal ramblings as she is presented with sparkly reigns and Cal began to grow... And grow. And grow some more. Lucille watched wide-eyed as Cal became absolutely ginormous. Is this just a thing dream eaters can do? Because she was quite impressed as she stood atop a fluffy mountain, and as Cal began bouncing and releasing those shockwaves Lucille holds on for dear life. At first she would be worried, but her fear quickly turned into excitement as she watched the Heartless get dispersed by Cal's unusual attack. "Woahoho!" She yells. This was like a rollercoaster! But uhh... Different? In a good way.
After a bit of fun Cal jumped high into the air and began deflating, giving Lucille a grand view of the Boiling Isles as they slowly floated down to the ground. When they finally landed she'd scoop up the once again small and adorable Cal into her arms. "Holy crap, Cal, that was awesome!" She exclaims, twirling them around in a circle. "The Heartless didn't even know what hit 'em!"

Tsukiko was getting more and more overwhelmed by the enemy numbers, and this wasn't being helped by the fact she was so distracted by trying to protect all the non-wielders here. Everyone was holding their own, but the others were getting overwhelmed too. She wanted to save her trump card for something bigger but... if she held out they were going to get swarmed anyway.
Jumping back a bit, her keyblades began to glow with light and darkness respectively as she braced herself for what she needed to do... and then they stopped as her focus evaporated in the face of Cal growing to giant size
"What the..." she said quietly as the now supersized Cal bounced around the area, unleashing shockwaves of energy that cleared out all the swarming heartless around it with each bounce, eventually clearing them all out, at least for the moment.
Tsukiko watched in stunned silence as Cal shrunk back down as if it was the most normal thing in the world, though he did look a bit worn out after that stunt. Still, the results were clearly worth it, even if more heartless came now, they were bought precious time to regroup and catch their breaths. They'd need that if the heartless she was on guard about manifested.
Rejoining the others, Tsukiko would focus on recharging her mana as much as possible for now, trying to make up for all the spells she'd had to fire off. "That's one heck of a move Cal can do, pulled our butts out of the fire too... and not gonna lie it looked kinda fun" she said with a chuckle

With the majority of their numbers gone and dusted, the sparse number of Heartless left over realized the predicament they found themselves in. As such, their retreat was expedited with a sudden collection of puffs of purple smoke. And with that, the Heartless were gone. Hooty struck a pose and then retracted back into the door of the Owl House. "Come back soon! We'll happily trounce you ag- OHMYGOSHABUG!" he lunged at a bug flitting about and munched noisily.
Eda sighed and set aside her staff. "Now that THAT is taken care of..." she turned her attention to the four strangers who still looked a bit on the defensive. "Who in Titan's name are you lot? And what are you doing near MY house, huh?" she pointedly asked with the slightest bit of crassness.
"That's what WE wanna know!" "Excuse him; he's just a bit irritated." "Yeah! There's like...big fluffy things in the sky!" "We don't have those in the Wild East...or even Underground."
Eda blinked. "Underground? Wild East? " her eyes narrowed. "What part of the Boiling Isles are you all from...? Are you tourists from Palm Stings or something?"
"Isles?" "Pardon but did you say they were boiling?" 'What's an isle?" The one named Moray was in awe of the skies above and it was dawning on her. A realization she was coming to grips with but also still shaking their head in disbelief. She was looking around. High. Low. Like she was hoping to see something familiar but finding nothing. Red trees and foliage. "Gang I...I don't think we're in the Wild East anymore..." she looked over to Lucille and Tsukiko. "...or for that matter, the Underground. There's three humans here..."
Eda cleared her throat and revealed her pointed ears. "I'm not human..." she stated flatly then took another look at their attire. They were dressed in clothing Eda swore she saw once or twice from the human realm but these were more closely related to the creatures found on the Boiling Isles. "How did you get here anyway...?"
"We were doing our rounds as usual when these strange creatures attacked." Ace began. "We got surrounded and then thought we were done for." continued Ed. "Everything went dark and then we fell!" added Mooch. "Then we were here with you huma- er...not-human and your strange...bird...worm." concluded Moray
"Hey! That's MISTER bird worm to you!" called Hooty from the door.
Eda sighed with fingers upon the bridge of her nose as Cal was sidled up to by a concerned King. He looked to Lucille with a tilt of his head then to Cal who breathed softly albeit with little movement. "Well this is a problem..." surmised Eda with a tired grunt. "Hate to break it you four but..." she sighs "...this probably isn't your world and you fell through a...um....think folk call 'em a Corridor of Darkness."
The four were left stunned while Eda looked beside herself. She was no stranger to other worlds but these unlucky four seemed to have just been shanghaied from their home world. Just more strangers. What a pain...

Lucille stops twirling Cal to address Tsukiko, letting Cal down so they can go relax with King as she speaks. "It was definitely fun... Kinda scary too, but scary in a good way, like a rollercoaster," She explains with a grin. She then watches the conversation between Eda and the strangers, humming in thought. "A 'Corridor of Darkness'? Sounds spooky, especially if you're thrown into a totally new world," She comments. "Is uhh... Magic practice canceled today while we try and figure all this out or...?"

Tsukiko looked around at the situation with the newcomers, if they fell through a corridor of darkness that could mean a bunch of things, few of them good. The fact the heartless were swarming them in their own world wasn't a great sign either.
"There's a couple things that could've happened to bring them here, and a few are more desirable than others. But we don't have any way of figuring out the details from here. We should probably bring these four to Scala ad Caelum so they can get some temporary shelter and we can look into finding their home and getting them back there. Definitely a lot more space for them than here..." Tsukiko said, than looked over to the owl house. It was a cozy building, a perfectly serviceable house possessed by a tube demon owl thing, but it was not going to have enough space for four new roommates.
Tsukiko shot another glance to the sky then. Still visibly on guard for something "I'm worried about that heartless attack though, they don't usually attack somewhere so aggressively on their own. Whenever there's THAT many in one place there's usually a bigger one serving as their boss of sorts. Did any of you four see a big creature before you wound up here? Like the ones we were fighting, but bigger, there's a bunch of shapes it could take but it would've been pretty clearly the leader by comparison.
At Lucille's question, Tsukiko gave a shrug and said "well it's at least paused until we sort this out, but if we're not going to be under attack again I can bring these four back with me and you and Eda can practice more. Technically speaking helping with stuff like people ending up in other worlds is more my job than yours."

Upon being talked to, the four spoke to themselves in hushed whispers. Once they came to a consensus, they replied. "Nothing out of the ordinary.""What we saw was ordinary enough.""It was a scorpion! A big one!""We see them all the time back home."Eda grumbled. "But that's what Heartless do! They take ordinary things or animals or objects and just mimic them...and you all didn't...know that...well ya do now!"As if on cue, there was a crashing sound above them followed by a billow of violet smoke. From it, a large whip-like object swung out and struck the home which issued a cry from Hooty. "Ow! Eda!" King started to cower near Lucille while Eda took a long step back and held out her hands as that whip-like force was coming in again for a second strike. With a hastened grunt of effort, a translucent yellowish plate emerged in mid-air to deflect the attack but it would also shatter on impact in the process. She clasped her hands together and glared at the smoke. "Hey kids! Off-worlders! I gotta protect my house! So here's the next lesson; while I keep my place defended with my magic which is gonna take all my focus to keep up on short notice....." She released her hands and held them forward as the entirety of the Owl House was surrounded by a stronger-looking barrier of a similar color. When the attack came again , it simply bounced off while Eda stood her ground. Soon after, a hefty figure dropped from the billowing smoke that then converged on the figure in question. It clacked it claws and swung its tail once more that bore a menacing grin on its end. "...use what little I taught ya to beat the Titan-forsaken crud outta that Heartless!"

Lucille watches the group talk about a... Scorpion? She was a tad confused but she was kind of used to being out of her depth at this point. At least things could calm down now and she could hopefully resume her magic trai—
BOOM-CRASH
Her eyes widen as an incredibly fast blow takes a chunk out of the house, inciting a cry of pain from their resident house-person-thing. She turns quickly toward the threat, drawing her blade... But she freezes in place at the sheer sight of the thing. It was huge! How were they supposed to fight it? And what the heck did Eda mean talking about what they taught them? This was supposed to be their first lesson! She can barely make a snowflake, and she has to somehow help take down this thing?
She stands their hesitating, her hands shaking in fear and trepidation even as others would jump to action. What could she do? This tiny little rapier wouldn't do anything to it. What... What could she do?
