Based in a multi-purpose facility in Pennsylvania, choice members of the League help these heroes reach their full potential… but eventually, it will be their fight. Not their mentors'.
"COBRA!"COBRACOBRA is a terrorist organization with history reaching back to the Cold War, and arguably long before that. They have continued to pose a threat to nations worldwide. ”Trust is the worst insurance.”The CollectiveThe Collective is a loose association of various fringe groups from across the universe, primarily brought together by an interest in underworld activities that they cannot participate in openly without scrutiny from the authorities. The representative members of the Collective often have little interest in one other, save perhaps in banding together for survival against the superpowers that be in the universe, a common ground for the downtrodden and disadvantaged. With that said, many of these larger groups have taken an interest in the Collective in kind, attempting to leverage favor with Minerva in order to appropriate the Collective for various agendas; all to mixed results.

When ARGUS called for them to report for a debriefing, their order was met with silence. Darkwatch has flourished into an independent vanguard against the supernatural horrors of the universe, posed against A.R.G.U.S. and even the Justice League at times. Their heroism is a pragmatic kind, willing to go to drastic lengths to carry out their sense of justice. Due to necessity, the group operates both from the Abbey in Salem, Massachusetts and the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York.
“The Sword is Drawn”ExcaliburThe United Kingdom has been supported by a clandestine paramilitary organization for as long as the notion of a United Kingdom has existed. Military intelligence, orders of magicians and even superheroes have defended Queen and Country from peril time and again. In this era, that group is known as Excalibur.
"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power--Green Lantern's light!"Green Lantern CorpsThe Green Lantern Corps is an inter-galactic police force dedicated to protecting sentient life in every form, established thousands of years ago by the Guardians. Officers are chosen for their ability to overcome great fear and given a power ring fueled by the strength of their willpower, the mightiest weapon in the universe. They have two representatives for each of the 3600 sectors in the known universe, their headquarters located centrally on the planet Oa. In addition, the Green Lanterns work alongside the Nova Corps and other galactic authorities to help keep the universe safe from would-be conquerors and to warn civilizations of pending invaders.
"There are many fates worse than Death."The HandThe Hand is an enigmatic order of ninjas and mystics whose origins span centuries, if not millennia. While they have at times served a noble calling, now, and for much of their history, the Hand is a cult devoted to infernal things. They are foremost servants of an ancient demon called the Beast, though they are also one of the world's leading criminal organizations. With ties to the Yakuza, COBRA, and dozens of occult circles around the globe, the Hand is not something to be taken lightly. They are sworn enemies of the League of Assassins, often competing for contracts, even if their ideologies could not be less alike. While the Hand is ostensibly based in Japan, they appear to have a presence in every corner of the globe to further their master's ambitions.

”We’re a rather exclusive club.”The Hellfire SocietyThe Hellfire Society began in England as a social club for the British social elite and wealthy in the colonial era as a way to provide its members with pleasures that often defied the moral standards of the time and to allow members to consolidate their influence over British economic and political matters. At some point, a handful of the most powerful members emigrated to the American colonies and began a branch in New York City and other major cities around the world. The organization has since evolved over the centuries, flourishing into a sprawling enterprise of influence and control to rival that of the Maggia. The Society and its members hold themselves above organized crime, instead as enlightened visionaries for the future that they will forge for the ungrateful masses.
"Our genes are the future."H.I.V.E.A splinter cell of the A.I.M. terrorist organization, specializing in genetic engineering and biological warfare. These scorned scientists and assassins, deemed too extreme even for A.I.M., have taken to the cult of personality surrounding their changed leader. H.I.V.E. follows a dogma of forced evolution, taking genetics and mad science into their own hands to usher in the future. Based in New York, they are a clear and present menace to the heart of America... and to A.I.M.'s bottom line.
”Justice for all.”The Justice LeagueThe Justice League was founded on the precipice of crisis by a handful of individuals, those as powerful as gods, to ordinary people wanting to do the right thing. The League is an organization dedicated to protecting as many lives as possible, and making the job of doing so as efficient and interwoven as possible, especially where saving the world is involved. While the Justice League is not sanctioned by the United Nations or recognized by any political body, this order of heroes isn’t afraid to let the law get in the way of doing the right thing.
”The Justice League is a strike force. The Justice Society is a family.”The Justice SocietyThe Justice Society was the first organization of vigilantes in the United States. They were icons of the early twentieth century, though passed into legend following a mysterious disappearance during World War 2. They miraculously returned decades later, ready to take up their self-assured duty of protecting the innocent. The Justice Society stands apart from the Justice League in that they are often community-oriented, treating their organization as an extended family, as well as attending to problems often overshadowed by larger crises.

"On its own, humanity is a destructive force. It needs a master."League of AssassinsThe League of Assassins is an ancient organization spanning centuries, if not millennia. They are a fanatical cult of warriors and self-proclaimed saviors of humanity. At their leader's behest, the League of Assassins conducts murder on an individual as well as massive scale under the pretense of purging the unworthy from their master's ideal world. Nothing short of complete destruction will stop the League from carrying out its genocidal goals.
"We are Legion."The Legion of DoomThe Legion of Doom is a rising star in the echelons of would-be conquerors and masterminds. They are a rare alliance of supervillains brought together under a singular purpose: the destruction of the Justice League. And then, the world. Their fearless leader has only begun to fill his Legion's ranks. Only time will tell who will join this band of tyrants.
"Everyone has their place. Especially the good guys."The MaggiaThe history of the Maggia crime syndicate allegedly spans centuries, beginning their enterprise as ruthless nobility during the Middle Ages. The Maggia emphasize the accumulation and management of influence, such that they are virtually untouchable by the law where it matters. Their leadership has eluded the authorities for so long, nobody even knows who leads the Maggia, if anyone.
"Existence is survival."The Mutant Liberation FrontYears after the Brotherhood of Mutants was horrifically and violently massacred, the legacy of Magneto and his message has become ingrained in the social consciousness of the new generation of mutants. The lessons of Erik Lenhsherr are immortalized in the Mutant Liberation Front, a radicalized movement hellbent on fighting the systemic oppression and extermination of their existence to the death. Under Diaspora, they have every intention of carving out a place for themselves in the world, no matter what it may cost the society of homo sapiens.
"Archaeologists of the Impossible"PlanetaryPlanetary is an organization billing themselves as "Archaeologists of the Impossible", tracking down the world's secret history. Their field team travels the world investigating strange phenomena: monsters and other beings, unusual relics, other superhumans, and powerful secrets which certain individuals are trying to keep hidden from the rest of the world. Their motives, while seemingly dubious as per most organizations of their kind, is partly curiosity, and partly to use what they learn for the betterment of mankind, often against the behest of governmental agencies across the globe.
"Whatever it takes."The ProtectorateThe Protectorate, often referred to as "PRT" by shorthand, is a paramilitary metahuman institution founded alongside A.R.G.U.S. While not officially part of the United States military, the Protectorate prides itself on being the lawful response to superhuman crises. Opposite the brutal Order is Rain City Revolution, a grassroots movement of punks, anarchists, and radical activists, many of whom possess superpowers of some sort. Whether alien, mutant, meta, or other brands of "special", RCR represent a staunch resistance to the Protectorate's attempts to calm boiling tensions in Seattle. "In Blackest Day, in brightest night; Beware your fears made into light. Let those who try to stop what's right, Burn like his power... Sinestro's MIGHT!"The Sinestro CorpsWhen Thaal Sinestro was banished to the Negative Zone, he searched desperately within the anti-matter cosmos for a meansto destroy the order he once served. He found it in the form of the Yellow Lantern Battery, deep within the fractured world of Qward. With like-minded allies, Sinestro has gathered his own Corps of like-minded nightmares and tyrants, united under the vision of instilling fear in an orderless universe.
"Always Make An Entrance!"The Sinister SixSpider-Man has no shortage of foes, from the spectacular to the inconsequential. Time and time again, they have tried to band together to bring down the web-head once and for all, to dismaying results. The latest iteration of the Sinister Six is brought together by Mysterio, who is keen on making his grand comeback a spectacle to be remembered.
"Don't worry about them. Worry about us."The StarjammersThe Starjammers are an unconventional band of pirates, not only because they are uniquely righteous, but because they are privateers, chiefly for the Shi'ar Empire. Corsair's ragtag band of not-quite heroes do what they can to protect the universe, one problem at a time. They operate on the fringes, far removed from the authority of the surly Green Lantern Corps or the bureaucratic Nova Corps.
"Dead Men Tell No Tales"Task Force XFormally known as Task Force X, this black ops A.R.G.U.S. unit is composed almost exclusively of criminals and supervillains press-ganged into the service of the United States government. Most people refer to this unit as the "Suicide Squad", taking missions that are more than likely to get the operatives killed. If they die? One less scumbag in the world. If they get captured? They have no official ties to the United States. If they live? They get reduced time, and get to go on the next mission. No matter what happens, Amanda Waller gets what she wants.
"Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward."Xavier's School for Gifted YoungstersCharles Francis Xavier dreamed of a world where mutants like him wouldn't have to grow up being hated or feared. The Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters was founded with that dream in mind, acting both as a private academy in upstate New York and a safe haven for mutants and the otherwise disenfranchised. The school is also home to the X-Men, mutant superheroes who act as Professor Xavier's vanguard for proving that humans and mutants can peacefully coexist.
